Off into the Arts forum.

I read that he was just a presenter. A fully trained meteorologist eh..? Fair enough then. Still a berk though.

That Thomaz Tabernacle, or whatever his name is, is a complete plonker, who has fits of giggles, forgets placenames and his script, and umpteen other things. Time was, when the Beeb used proper meteorologists { ], while everyone else used presenters. Thomaz Troubadour is just a presenter, who has very little idea of what he's actually whining on about. And I think the veteran BBC news anchor knew it. Oh right, he's called Tomasz Schafernaker. I was close.

Did you also watch the 4th episode of Inside The Medieval Mind..? http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00b6w6m/Inside_the_Medieval_Mind_Power/ Fascinating..! All that Royalty and Aristocracy, you love, and there's the medieval Me and You being flogged to death as Serfs [read Slaves] for their ownership and gain. Isn't it about time we finally got rid of the last of them. I mean, they've had it good for just about long enough, don't you think..? BTW, this is going into the Arts forum, where it should be. I leave a permanent link.

It appears to be, when encountering the new format, for the first time. However, steps have been taken to resolve the matter, so you may have no problem. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anna

Surely your recommendation would be..?

Hi Block18 If you paid via Paypal last time, under the old format, this is probably the reason why you have experienced problems. I'll PM Steve for you. ------------------------------------------------------------------- dessert

Pretty much had to read that as a kid, being part Italian. It came, part and parcel, with the guilt. At the moment, I'm reading The Dam Busters. No, not the 1951 Paul Brickhill edition, but one written by Max Arthur, who specialises in historical works, using first hand accounts. It makes for a especially personal history, to those who directly lived through the event, and gives an insight into details that are often overlooked, because they don't make the headlines. I've only just started it and already I'm looking for the next moment when I can pick it up again, without interruption. This one is going to be a page turner. In fact, bugger it, I'm off to turn a page or twenty.

I didn't get it entirely right myself. It wasn't £3M, but US$3M. ---------------------------------------------------------- invalid

What is most disappointing about that whole table is that those teams out of the top 6, indeed those out of the top 4, probably haven't got a cat's chance in hell of lifting the Premier League Championship... possibly ever..! I don't need an excuse, not to be interested in other football clubs, but it's probably that reason that caps my total and utter lack of interest in how the Premier League turns out. I'm not saying this thread is boring, of course. Perish the thought.

Even Manchester United are Saints related, because they play the same sport. But we like the narrow the field a little bit, so Saints related means Southampton FC and those directly associated with the club, plus those who are rumoured to be currently linked with the club. People who are no longer linked with the club are not really Saints related topics. You'll notice I initially gave notice that this thread was not really Saints related, but still didn't move it. Call it, giving you the benefit of the doubt.

QPR fan during cup loss on Tues...
St Landrew replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Muppet Show
I think quite a few of us have been in that situation, over previous recent seasons, in thought, if not in deed. Last season was the biggest breath of fresh air since 2002-03. And if we leave out the different league levels, it actually felt better. -
There is a thread about Steve Coppell actually. It's in General Sports, where all non-Saints related threads should be.

Can we add Markus to the SWF banner at the top?
St Landrew replied to Johnny Bognor's topic in The Saints
Add Markus to the banner. It was exactly my thought a few moments after I came onto the forum, earlier this evening, after hearing of his death. An excellent idea. -
No, we wouldn't. Closing thread by request of author. Probably the best idea.

Whilst trying to catch news of Markus Liebherr [incredibly sad, R.I.P.], this evening, I came across the video footage of the two Swedish women who, just a couple of years ago, shocked us all by running into traffic on the M6 motorway. We've all seen it, so I won't link it now, but a couple of hours later, I wanted to catch up on the last Sherlock Holmes episode, and found this... Madness In The Fast Lane ...which is all about the two identical twins who incredibly got up from being knocked over, to run into traffic again, and then onto crazier things. My mother and aunt are identical twins, and it fascinated me over the way extreme behaviour can be psycologically transmitted from one close person to another.
