  1. Agreed, David.
  2. Well yes, I could see that. The timeliness of the lad's walking out of shot and returning, showed that. But it was very effective nonetheless.
  3. Excellent..!
  4. Oh dear, do you really not understand the process mate..? If you've heard of the Earth Energy Budget, and looked at other parts of the world, you'll notice, for example, that Australia is suffering record temperatures, once again. Now if there is no global warming, then the EEB should be roughly the same year on year. Sadly, it's generally increasing, which means warmer global temperatures year upon year. And with this comes more extreme swings in temperature and weather patterns too. Hence our cold snap. There's little escape from this. People can arse about all they like, but the truth is, unless we change our ways, or technology comes to the rescue [don't bank on it] life will get bloody uncomfortable for the global population. Maybe in our lifetime, almost certainly in our kid's lifetime. It's so serious, I can't even joke about it.
  5. There are indeed. Three times, in living memory, the snow has fallen heavily enough, while I've lived near the Sports Centre, and I used the slopes there. Of course, the Ski Slope will be super fast, at present.
  6. Yeah, saw that myself. It beggars belief. Did someone change the rules of football for a split second so that a ball which goes over a goalline by about 2-3 feet, and bounces on the grass there, before being whipped out again by a frantic and errant keeper, is deemed not a goal..? Apparently so.
  7. I take it that was a jest..?
  8. For all those who missed the ITV Championship programme yesterday - you've missed it again. Saints have just been on the repeat on ITV4. This time I recorded it. The next repeat is tomorrow at 6pm, same channel. I might get the protest bit up on Youtube. Can only help..! Liked the kid who purposely walked in and out of shot with his LOWE OUT board while Gabriel Clarke was talking. Good lad. That got noticed by everybody watching.
  9. Oooeee..! There's a bit of snow outside the door. Almost a decent amount too. Looks nice.
  10. Well, I'd be motivated to, wouldn't I..?
  11. Looking at some nice goals and this popped up. After, what is it 18 months..? Nothing has been done. It's been conveniently forgotten. Still makes me laugh that certain institutions in football get away with this crap. Both clubs certainly found out which one was bigger than the other, that night. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=xowj6Qx78so
  12. Always, always, always proper snow in Kent. Lived there 5 years, got snowed in 5 times. Excellent deep snow. One year it was 6 ft deep up against my front door, and it hadn't drifted. I couldn't see my car, apart from a tiny bit of aerial, in my driveway. That's proper snow. Southampton - pretend snow. Just looked at my car. It's a slightly paler shade of blue than it normally is. I'm not getting excited, despite all the forecasts. I'm sure the rest of GB will be a blanket of pure white tomorrow. I'll believe there's proper snow in Southampton when I can't get out my front door. Then I'll get the sled out of the shed.
  13. What's the betting though, that in Southampton tomorrow, the snow amounts to sod all. When everywhere else is knee deep in the stuff. It's our little City microclimate that isolates us from the worst of the weather.
  14. You can see a repeat here [uK only]: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/default.stm
  15. Managers next week mate, but I'll take the early booking.
  16. As usual, Southampton got pretend snow. The flakes were so small and so fleeting this morning they barely registered on my radar. If you really like regular winter snow, Southampton isn't the place for you. Pretty nippy though at the farmers market in Romsey.
  17. I think Steve Death is one of the De 'Ath lot, but he doesn't bother with the apostrophe.
  18. There was a program about this a few weeks back. Incredibly, it seems people like to view TV from the angles they might actually be watching from if they were really at an event. The programme had a poll [we like those] and nearly 100% of those asked wanted an end to quirky angles and super quick editing. You or I could have told them that for nothing. Experts - who needs them..?
  19. There..! Now set whatever recording device you have up, and wait: The Championship Monday 02 February 1:00pm - 2:00pm ITV4 Matt Smith reviews all the action from the Coca-Cola Championship and Leagues One and Two. With commentary by Jon Champion and Clive Tyldesley, and reports from Gabriel Clarke, Tom Skippings, Richard Henwood and Chris Hall. VIDEO Plus+: 77052005 or The Championship Tuesday 03 February 6:00pm - 7:00pm ITV4 Matt Smith reviews all the action from the Coca-Cola Championship and Leagues One and Two. With commentary by Jon Champion and Clive Tyldesley, and reports from Gabriel Clarke, Tom Skippings, Richard Henwood and Chris Hall. VIDEO Plus+: 77032241 No charge.
  20. It'll be repeated on ITV4 during the week. Look it up.
  21. Don't worry, one or two thousand extra off the gate, backed up with a statement will get Lowe and Wilde's attention. Pretty soon, after a few games it would catch on too. Then you'd really start getting people staying away. But what do you want to do..? Send Saints into administration or get the Board shifted out of the club..? As clarity is all, make the message clear, and you never know what might happen. EDIT: The protest was widely reported amongst the sporting news.
  22. Hello, hello, hello, do my tinnitus ears deceive me, or did I hear the excited tones of Will Cope interviewing Sam Allardyce for Sky Sports..? It's a question.
  23. Started watching Troy earlier. Now I like a bit of Greek Mythology. Turned over to another channel though. Just as much for the endless adverts breaks as anything else.
  24. Of course. It's repeated about 2 times during the week. Just do a check with online Radio Times. Dear, oh dear, I thought people knew..! There you go. Have a search: http://www.radiotimes.com/ListingsServlet?event=13&broadcastType=1&jspGridLocation=/jsp/tv_listings_grid.jsp&jspListLocation=/jsp/tv_listings_single.jsp&jspError=/jsp/error.jsp
  25. The Gordon Brown..? Who, in your infinite wisdom, are you blaming for stuffing up the economy of, France, Germany, Russia, USA, Australia, Brazil, etc..., i.e. The Rest Of The World..?
