  1. Oh, I get it. I think. Fonte nearly cut a player in two, with a tackle, apparently. Wycombe corner.
  2. Now YOU need to stay on-topic. Kris Temple said, [Wycombe player] play a hospital ball. What does that mean..?
  3. Oih..! What is a HOSPITAL Ball..?
  4. Bloody hell, thanks for the recipe highlight. I think I can fill in the gaps, as I'm a bit of a dab hand at the curry pot myself. Splash of Brandy eh..? Nice one. Sadly after all this typing I can't say 1-0 Saints.
  5. Saints starting to build pressure.
  6. Tasty..? Kris Temple: Ball gets stuck in the mud..! Doesn't sound like a good pitch to me.
  7. Radio Solent. I've no doubt there's local radio commentary for Wycombe too.
  8. Well it was played on by Wycombe at the weekend, and by Wasps Rugby on Monday. Plus it has been well and truly rained on. It can't be perfect.
  9. Jaidi slipped up on the pitch.
  10. That's it peeps. Onto the match thread.
  11. Post those comments here. COYR
  12. Yeah, kind of knew I'd be late. But if I'd read through the thread, I'd have been even later.
  13. Just on Solent, Pompey have issued a statement that they are making preparations to go into administration on Friday, this week. Apologies if this has been posted earlier.
  14. Listening to Solent, someone has sent in a very good e-mail, citing that Wembley is a very good icing on the cake, but Saints must behave as if they can win every game from now on, until the end of the season. Right on the tail-end, the mailer mentioned being offended by commentary from Fratton Park at the weekend, when there was a mention of Saints being thumped, the previous week. Saints may have lost 4-1, but they certainly weren't thumped. I could have sent that e-mail myself.
  15. I'm not closing the thread. I'm advising posters that if they can't return to the original subject matter, perhaps this thread has gone as far as it can. In which case, they are free to open another outside of the main forum. EDIT: OK, Vectis is on-track.
  16. story
  17. Indeed. Another non-story.
  18. This thread is getting to the point where if it doesn't return to the original topic, I think it's time to call a halt. You guys could carry on via PMs.
  19. You mean division, yes..? Not league..?
  20. The BBC iPlayer divides into regions for local programmes. Just select BBC South from a drop down menu at the top of the schedule for BBC1 Monday.
  21. Excellent post Aussiesaint. A really lovely read. Are you in touch with some of the other Saints fans from this forum who live in your neck of the woods..?
  22. I'm watching it right now. Of course, it is much, much, much harder than the celebs expected. It's notable that the arsehole Marquis of Blandford, couldn't even spend one night on the streets. He gave up as soon as he experienced a bit of discomfort. The rest, by the end of the first programme, have given it a pretty good go. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8116661.stm It's easy to say that it is just a vehicle for the celebs to appear good in the public eye. But the programme goes a bit further than that. Typically BBC, it doesn't sugarcoat or overly dramatise. My opinion of one member of the aristocracy reached a new low, and it was pretty much at basement level anyway. I only use the word for the very worst of people, but Jamie Blandford qualifies. The man is a c**t. Apologies for that.
  23. I quite enjoyed the programme.
  24. Starting at 11.35, which is sort of - NOW.
  25. Indeed. This problem started from a combination of the formation of the Premier League, and a few years previously, when clubs voted to keep all the home gate receipts. The biggest clubs back then, with the biggest stadiums immediately had a greater advantage than they previously had. Automatically, on the formation of the Premier League, and SKY money, the biggest clubs were the glamour clubs, and they attracted the most money. More money meant a far greater chance of success, by buying better quality players. It's a scenario which reaches a logical conclusion. There is a top echelon of a few clubs, which gets thinner and thinner until one or two dominate. The rest are cannon fodder. BORING..! A return to 4 divisions under the Football League umbrella. Less bullsh!t, less fanfare, less money, more football.
