I predict another 2-1 away win, maybe have to come from behind once again. We just have to stay patient, & we really do have the team to win this one. Win this & its within touching distance. I agree with Chez I'm usually a glass half empty pessimistic sort, but I just have a feeling Brighton will win today & could be all but be done by 5pm tonight.

That was a great season, my first one really going away on my own at 17, only missed about 3 games all season, I particularly remember Bolton at home 2-2 draw we were 2-0 up, they came back to 2-2 then in stoppage time Frank Worthington caught the ball, dropped it put his head in his hands expecting the whistle only for the the ref just to wave play on. And freezing at Oldham away 1-1 god that really was the coldest I've ever been at a football match(would have helped if I'd had a coat maybe, young and stupid at the time). Those run in games Fulham, Luton & Orient will forever live in my memory. Lets hope the new generation of Saints get to experience this in the next 3 games. COYR WIFM

Doesn't time fly, it really doesn't seem 4-years ago. Been some real S**t happened in that time. Doubt we will ever really know if Allen actually did make any sort of enquiry, or whether it was one of his buisness people looking to give him an option, I think that was mooted at the time wasn't it? Could well be wrong, pity its not in the Golden posts!

It seems similar to this year to me we had 4 clubs going for 3 places & it was so tight on the run in. The sheer volume of Saints away support in that last fortnight was Fabulous Fulham was great & Luton on the penultimate Saturday was the real turning point if I remember, looked like we were going to have to settle for a draw, but Bally won us pen 2-mins from the end & Peach smacked in the winner, which I believe with other results that day put us top & just needing that point at Orient for almost certain promotion. could just be the same on the penultimate weekend, if results go our way. Here's hoping.

Whilst I hope we get an early goal to settle the nerves, & It would be nice to have a comfortable & relaxing win for a change. But this is Saints, so I expect a long nervous match today & patience once again will be the key. I'd definitely keep Lallana & Connolly on the bench (air on the cautious side), we should have enough to win this without them but they are there if necessary. That is unless Lallana is fully fit, I know Connolly has said he is the fittest person at the club & raring to go, but he does seem to be made of glass & I'd prefer to keep him for 30-mins at the end of games when needed. Gone for a hard ground out 2-0 win Saints.

Agree with the sentiments Acetripper. The pressure that we've both been exerting on each other, will mean whoever gets over the line to the automatic spot will have thoroughly deserved it! Have to say I hope its us of course, but the run you've been on has been nothing short of phenomenal & I hope we are playing each other again next year in the NPC with HTFC winning the play-off's. Also agree with teamsaint I think there should be a bigger advantage for league places. A series of one off games 5th place (home) to 6th to see who plays 4th(home) in the semi-final then winners to play 3rd place in the final would be a little fairer IMHO.

I could understand if it was their last game at home, then maybe it would be appropriate, but as its wasn,t then why should we. Do they expect one every game between now and the end of the season???

End of the day the result is all that matters, but we seem to be staggering towards promotion rather than storming towards it. But if we stagger over the line we will all be happy. Stagger on you Saints.
