Agree with that I also saw him a few times at County, looked good but had Hoof-ball for service & no support. He is very quick & seemed quite powerful. Could be just what he & Saints need at this time a little bit of confidence & I could see him becoming a really handful for the opposition at this level.

Very encouraged by the start he's made, he has tightened up the defence (crucial at the moment with our inability to score many goals). And not only does he want us playing good football he is demanding it from the players. To many times under AP we started a game playing good football only for some inexplicable reason to switch to hoof-ball or resorted to that when going a goal down. it may take another few weeks to get it ingrained into the players but the signs are very encouraging. Must admit to feeling a little underwhelmed by his appointment, but talking to a Scunny fan on holiday was more encouraged as he sung his praises & was gutted to lose him. he also said NA will get us playing good football. Lets hope the improvement continues.

The players we have at our disposal have not become bad players over night. Something has gone on behind the scenes with the players/training staff that has undermined the pre-season & the start of the season. The absoulte silence that has eminated form the Pardew camp & the LMA is defening IMHO. Now I´m not saying that NC is inocent in all this, but he has a vision he now has his manager in place with a good reputation for playing football the right way & had some sucsess at this level & beyond. Its time for a deep breath & give NA a few games & a few weeks to sort this mess out. Panicing will get us knowhere fast!

I am a little under-whelmed by this appointment, but I will get behind NA as I did AP & hope that he does just as good a job for us as he did for Scun-thorpe. I guess that we will never really know what went on with AP & I find it telling that the LMA have been absolutely silent over this, they normally come out in support of there managers. So we may well have been forced iinto this decision, so I for 1 Hope NC has the right man to take us forward.

If Echo have it right then lets hope he can do the job. Can't really see that he is a big step forward from Pardew to be honest, but who knows with managers. He has done a very good job at Scun-thorpe lets hope he can do the same here.

Basically looking at the rumours from various sites/agencies no one has the faintest Idea who will be the new manager/head coach. The betting has gone with the flow first Zola & Hart, then Brown, followed by O'Neil & the latest is Adkins. So summing up the thread today which is yesterdays tomorrow, or from the original tomorrow which is now the day after tomorrows tomorrow(from Monday) or .............oh forget it my head is just scrambled/poached & fried with source on the side.

Out of those 2 it would have to be Adkins. If your NC & those are the best 2 names you can come up with then you are the weakest link. GOODBYE!

If true I hope he gives the new manager a chance before making up his mind. We really need to get this situation sorted out & the club back on an even keel. the longer this goes on the more the players will become disenchanted with the situation.
