Redknapp, we all hate but we all know we missed out, don't we?
Dazza82 replied to Noodles34's topic in The Saints
spent 70.5m but Sold Bent 10m Gunter 1.75m Zokora 7.75m So thats a income of 19.5m. Thats without the sale of Taarabt which was undisclosed and the loans of certian players which would of cost fees like Taarabt's first spell at QPR also O'Hara,Hutton,Keane and Giovani so its not that much really. Add that to the extra revenue to what they get from being in the CL aswell and i think he spent money well and also got a good return. -
He wasn't missed by us at all today...

Davis Richardson Fonte Jaidi Dickson Chamberlain Chaplow Hammond Lallana Lambert Barnard By the looks of it then
-
As people say our squad is good enough to get out of this league
-
D.J Campbell is the last player to come from non-league, hasn't done too bad for himself
-
Yeah i dont agree with Holloway just pointing out about Matt Phillips. Just saw about Austin and Morison.
-
What like the league 2 player who joined blackpool and his boss is now calling for capello to have a look at him. Also Charlie Austin and Steve Morrison havent done bad coming up from non-league

The entirely speculative 'replacements for Puncheon' thread
Dazza82 replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Was just about to post that too, dont think he will drop back down, and he has just turned down a new contract so obviously wants either more cash or to play at a higher level -
Milner is not worth 25m but that is just a 'Man City' price. He is a good engine and has a good delivery. Also i think Carrick was at his best about 4 years ago, whenever it was when he joined Man Utd, i dont think he is good enough for England now and Huddlestone has taken over in the pecking order imo

Ben Davies from Notts county An outstanding contributor to the team's success, he carved out 17 goals and chipped in with 15 of his own throughout 2009/10. Many of these came in spectacular style and he has certainly earned the right to be known as the side's dead ball specialist. http://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10426~10341,00.html -
You could also turn this to 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 ------------Hart Richards Cahill Terry Cole --Milner Huddlestone Wiltshire Walcott ---------------- Johnson ------------Rooney-----------

I dont think we should get rid of all the senior pros, right now. Players like Barry,Lescott,Warnock and Jagielka as good as they are for their clubs should get no where near an England team again. But players like Terry,Rio,Gerrard,Lampard and Cole should still be around to pass on the 'knowledge' to younger players like Henderson, Smalling, Cahill, Gibbs and Carroll. Players with natural talent like A.Johnson and Wiltshire should be in cos they will be big players for England as long as they fulfill their potential. Id Like to see Hart Richards Cahill Terry Cole Milner Huddlestone Wiltshire Johnson Walcott Rooney(fit and on form) With Gerrard and Rio in the squad adding extra experience

If this is the case then whatever players dont want to be here can go, i dont care who they are (or think they are) no one player is bigger than our club. Everyone needs to be 100% behind the manager and pulling in the right direction as a team, i have faith in Adkins to get us out of this division, he has managed in this league twice and been promoted twice and if the players dont back him then if we get the right price they can go imo

Schneiderlin and Lambert out!! You having a laugh mate? Out: Pulis Wotton Forecast Holmes Loan out: McNish Doble Gobern That should clear up some space for some new blood
-
Agree with Madine think we should of tried to sign him in the summer, i thinnk he will be off to the CCC in January i believe Reading are interested
-
Surely if he lacked confidence who wouldn't step up and take the penalties he has done so far this season and they are all very well taken, if he lacked confidence he would probably scuff, miss or not want to take the pens
-
I don't think that is the case, He doesn't strike me as that sort of person if he is then surely he would of been the same at Bristol Rovers

This Thread wasn't started because of todays loss otherwise i would of posted my views on the post match thread, Its about Lambert and his form and lack of it. You're right lambert wasn't good outside the box last season all those free kicks he scored were inside the box, the free kicks he won, dropping deep to hold the ball up, flick on's to Lallana, Antonio,Puncheon and other runners, not to mention the number of goals he managed to get outside the box
