It's great for building up a report with the fans - you really get a peek into their lives. Jack Cork even did a competition where a fan won a pair of Corks boots. Some of the presumed leaders of the dressing room (Davis, Lambert, Hammond etc.) are not there, but those present make a great show. Those outside the starting XI (Dickson & Jaidi) are very quiet even though they have every reason to be proud of their contribution to our revival over the last few seasons IMHO. However, I have been wondering what it will be like once: - we stop winning all the time - some of the players stop being selected in the first XI - players are transferred away - players have a falling out e.g. in a training session That's the real test - but for now it's all good and all fun!

But a sharp pen - he dishes out right and left to Hooiveld, de Ridder and others, but they do seem to enjoy the banter. Nothing wrong with Blackburn's goal - by know that trick should be known by everyone in professional football, so tough luck on Wigan that they let themselves be fooled... Edit: ok, it seems the highlights I've been seeing didn't show the problem in this case: that Yakubu didn't touch the ball and make it spin at least one full round before leaving it for Pedersen - if that is the case, the goal should not have stood...

2 wrong penalties given IMHO - 1st was outside the area and for the 2nd I simply couldn't spot any contact between Calderon and Lambert even in slo-mo in the HD tv. Red card was harsh but Tarricios own fault I guess... Should have had at least one penalty that was not given (against Lambert late in the 2nd half), and two weaker claims in the first half, and overall a deserved victory no matter what Poyet will claim.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one left with this impression of a difficult time in our history... I would have loved for that experiment to turn out well! And I certainly prefer our chosen route to the one our blue neighbours chose when in economical trouble...

Your math is spot on. In our 20 games this season (16 FLC, 4 LGCP) we are 14-3-3, with an average of 2,25 points/game, 2,30 goals for/game, and 1,10 goals against/game.

I was merely responding to the suggestion that we were meeting "easier" teams this month than we did in October, and I would agree with this when looking at Posh, Cov, Brighton and BC - I just wanted to point out that Hull (to me) are stronger than the other four teams

I started following Saints in the early 90's, so I feel strangely connected to Coventry - they seemed to be our twin club at the time enduring the same annual survival battle at the foot of the league table, surviving season after season. Now our ways have been parted for a while, but it's still something special for me to see Saints - Coventry on the fixture list. Sad I know...
