Can’t understand why we don’t just sign a solid already in his prime normal goal keeper instead of getting teenagers, obscure choices or past it old men .. really doesn’t cos that much to just sign a decent proven keeper

Wouldn’t hold your breath.. the trouble with us is we are so open with our policy of letting players move who want to move, Liverpool will know we won’t keep him even if they don’t match our valuation at some stage we will crumble because you can’t keep a unhappy player and themz the rules

We seem to be living in fear that if we don’t let our young upcoming stars jump ship when they want to that the next lot of lavias etc won’t want to come to us .. but I would argue that getting back to the premiership and being able to give these guys premiership minutes is the real lure .. if we have to hold a few of these to do that then so be it . the premiership pull makes us more attractive then us dwelling in the championship letting players have their moves

I’m with you on this hundred percent ..we are all accepting that sales will be made and the likes of lavia jwp etc we’re inevitable..but to let everyone who has the chance to move go would be ridicolous ..some of these players like Alcaraz and sulemana have only been here since January .. surely you can hold them for at least a season ? one thing with our club we seem a bit to obsessed with doing what the player wants ..in some cases ok but we shouldn’t be doing it to the detriment of our promotion hopes and I really hope we are ready to put our foot down soon and say we have sold enough now and to tell some of these like tella you are in our plans for promotion and are not for sale

This one would really suck..yes we have edozie and tella who are great options .. but sulemana looks like he has it in him to be close to unplayable at his best . Hes only been here half a season so we should him for at least one full one .. if the 25 m quoted is just an option to buy it would also give Everton a risk free option that might result in them getting a mane like beast for 25 and if he flops send him back

Yeah I do kinda agree we got a pretty decent price overall but the chelsea sell on does do a lot of damage to the actual figure we receive .. do we know if we put any sell on clause in our sale ?

Thing is it’s only really 23 mil to us .. and tino is probably the most exciting full back we had since bale.. I dunno I feel a bit meh on the deal personally I suppose we have probably maximised a great price for a player that’s just returning from a bad injury and might not even return as good ., but at the same time if he ends up blowing up and becoming amazing the 23 mil we get is definitely nothing to wank over

What’s the deal with sulemana ? Seems strange he hasn’t featured at all pre season. Even if he does want out we are still playing the likes of lavia who is obviously gonna leave ?

Agree completely .. if we keep sulemana and tella with Alcaraz in behind this really could be one of the best attack the championship has ever seen .. neither seem worth losing for the measly prices quoted and these two could be absolutely sensational for us ., seems a no brainer to keep them

Whatever we sell for I hope we are including a decent sell on clause in the deal .. if we can get 20 percent or something that will be another nice payday when he moves for huge money .. wouldn’t even mind letting him go for 45 if we get a decent sell on

Key to a good transfer is not just getting in good young players but to strengthen the positions that we are most weak .. there was a lot of aspects to getting relegated last year but having a Gk who doesn’t save anything and a striker who misses sitters as our first choices certainly was a big factor in us not getting anything from tight games . we need to look at the weakest links and upgrade there, it’s obvious the weakest links are gk and striker just like last year .., and also cb .. tbh I think we are fine atm with the cms even if it’s smallbone and Charles , the wingers and fullbacks also fine.. goalkeeoer position absolutely needs addressing we can’t let the fact we have McCarthy and baz who we can’t shift ruin our season .. a nice solid experienced keeper who Is good at championship level shouldn’t cost the earth .

But what good would it do them for ABK or salisu to down tools ? whilst they may not be happy slumming it in the championship with us they won’t want to ruin their careers . Both have been linked with bigger clubs in the past but the only way to earn those moves is to continue to impress ..I think they have no choice but to be professional about it if they are still here . Much like schneiderlin did

I think sulemana probably has the highest ceiling of anyone on on our books maybe bar lavia , we only saw glimpses of it so far but when he’s on it and running at players at pace he looks absolutely frightening like he did late on vs spurs and Liverpool.. sky’s the limit and he could be mane good .. would tear the championship a new arsehole: absolutely stupid if we let him go he’s only been here since jan and like Alcaraz should be forced to give us at least a season .. our attack is already pretty much there play a mixture of sulemana tella/edozie as wide/inside forwards Alcaraz in 10 behind and new striker funded by selling adams and we have championship porn level attack .. we really really should keep that bunch together I thought we might have some plan around which players to keep but it’s starting to look like everyone is up for grabs so I wouldn’t get too attached to Alcaraz either

Alcaraz sulemana and tella would be my must keeps .. ..and would keep tino too unless he really threw toys out of the pram

I thought tino looked happy enough to stay in the championship from his comments, if that was the case seems a bit weird to let him go what I wonder is how forceful or the opposite are we trying to hold on to players that we want to keep ? Is it just a case of if someone comes in atprice we are ok with we leave it up to the player ? would be nice if we had some kind of players that are so in our plans we won’t let them go anywhere

Everyone kind of danced around the main point I was making. Not who is the better centre midfielder or how lavia will be in a good team. last season we were a shit team that conceded a lot of goals and had very little creativity.. lavia as good as he is can’t stop a leaky defence by himself. So I don’t see how you think he affected results more then jwp Jwp is No Matt le tissier but he’s the closest thing to a talisman we had last season, the majority of our points jwp was more important then lavia there’s a reason he won player of the season by 71 percent if it was as clear cut as you say that wouldnt of happened I’m honestly not running lavia down here and we all know he will play for a big club and be one of the best midfielders in the world , but he wasn’t as important in winning points for us as jwp

Guess what I’m trying to say is a defensive midfielder like him doesn’t really win or lose you games by himself .. he could play a very good game make tackles .. be press resistant not give the ball away .. but it’s not making much of a difference on the result .. if you had to chose between him and ward prowse .. not looking at in a who we could sell for most money but who would actually have more of a affect on results who would you choose ?

Maybe a bit controversial but I think lavia was a bit of a luxury player for us last season . Sure he looked quality and has a ton of good aspects to his game .. but did he really affect games ? suppose this could be a harsh view for a dm but his contribution wasn’t really changing results for us .. ward prowse a lot more key in actually affecting results

Yeah.. still see many here claiming he’s gonna be great this season or will definitely come good. Based on what exactly ? Hologram man has hardly put in any good performances all season looks even worse then Gunn so far ..why can’t we just buy a normal experienced keeper they are not expensive anyway ?
