Coming back to this I think he’s actually done quite a great job with some of the recruitment scienza,Azaz,peretz, and jander have all been cracking signings. Also whilst I still think it was a hell of a gamble Tonda is looking like a decent appointment too . Overall I think spors is doing a better job then those before him

Do we have a option to buy with peretz? He’s not ever gonna be be first choice at Bayern so think our chances of getting him should be decent.. he’s been fantastic tbh what a difference it makes. I think he’s maybe the best player I’ve seen in a saints shirt when it comes to through balls and defence splitting passes, he actually might be even more effective if we get promoted as I think when teams play a higher line it gives a lot more space to play these kinds of passes .. when teams play a low block it nullifies that part of his game

And didn’t he mostly play kinda right wing forward under rm and have almost 40 goal contributions ? Agree he’s not a dribbler like fellows scienza or edozie etc be he kinda makes incisive runs and was a constant source of goals assists . Also probably helps he doesn’t get bullied by cbs

It’s a lot more likely the atmosphere changed due to results being hugely improved getting in a decent keeper and finally switching to a back four like everyone asked for, don’t you think? also don’t buy this Armstrong being a bad apple he was top scorer in the league and always worked hard and ran a lot .

Really? The games that got tonda the job like charlton away he was immense. Plus he was a great option for two positions .everyone talks about how hard it is to sign decent strikers/forwards in January but doesn’t seem to stop us letting ours go people seem to be making stuff up to make them feel happier about it

Absolutely but because many of his chances are kinda self made we can forgive it more .. also at least he always does provide a goal threat when you compare him to fellows on the other side Leo is the only one who really kinda cuts in and provides that goal threat from out wide

Seen a few doubting him to step up to the prem but if todays anything to go by he will be just fine. I think it’s actually debatable now if he’s better then lallana was with us at this level ? Both great in their own ways lallana a bit more tricky but Leo has the directness and pace that he can as most cut through teams by himself if he tightens up the shooting would be a monster

Without judging on seven matches he shouldn’t of got the job in the first place though . I actually think Nathan Jones is a decent manager and think his personality is awesome think we appointed him at the wrong time could have done a decent job if appointed in one of the championship seasons and given time . Also the man is just TV gold you need characters like him by far the most entertaining press conferences in my time supporting saints 🤣

Let’s see how much they love him when he ditches them off after relegation like he did us .that wasn’t the point anyway I’m sure a lot of people would say xavi was a better footballer then Le tissier but I very much doubt xavi would have saved us year after year in relegation battles

I know they play different positions but personally I think scienza would have more impact then fernandes, fernandes is neat and tidy and probably be great in a good side but he’s not the sort of player that’s gonna have a huge impact in a relegation battle and hasn’t helped us or West Ham . Scienza has enough about him to be a threat at top level and be a bit of a talisman

Pretty disjointed performance really not sure matsuki has enough pace to play out wide. not many brilliant performances today probably give man of the match to manning azaz worked hard too and Bree just keeps giving feels a bit of a meh day with all the teams above winning but another 3 points in the bag

Even though the popular argument is that we are better with the big strikers I do wonder if a pacy Armstrong type forward suits azaz gane better ? He’s just so damn good at picking those passes like he did with scienza yesterday but without Armstrong there is less pace and options for him to hit with those type of balls . probably gonna be a unpopular view and nothing we can do about it now anyway

Yeah I think Bree is just as important as the other two events though since we switched to a back four we have been flying and to go with that he’s also providing a massive goal threat quite regularly too The man has been sensational and probably player of the month for me
