Anyone else starting to come around to the idea that Cyle can do well at premier league level ? I honestly couldn’t be much more impressed at the moment he may lack a bit of first touch bit he just gives you so much and most of his attributes look like they would also give prem defenders a problem too . We do need to make some striker signings shoukd we go up but at the kind of 20m budget we usually seem to stick to I’m not sure that’s even guaranteed to get better then Larin

Well we have won 8 out of our last ten games the two draws you mention being either side of the city cup tie which we can kinda put down to having a eye on that and fatigue for Ipswich . We pretty have much have been tearing up the league

Not sure what you mean we have been tearing up the league and still finished higher then them from miles behind . Our form and squad is on a different planet whilst theirs is mediocre . They should be fearing us not the other way around I’d be disappointed with a draw at their place personally we are clearly superior to them at this point

I do agree with you we play well on the break tbh, but at the same time we are the form team with the better players and majority of the squad are all buzzing and playing well, we have arguably been better away from home of late. I’d expect us to smash boro if this was a league game but yeah I’m sure tonda will get it right

Kinda disagree, our massive unbeaten run is obviously no fluke, don’t see why we should change anything and turn it into a cagey couple of games .. we are in way better form then boro might as well just play our normal game and hopefully go into the second leg with a couple of goal advantage

It’s quite insane how most of us where so wrong on Larin, he’s actually looking like the ideal centre forward at the moment he’s big, he’s fast , bullies defenders, his movement is excellant and seems to put himself in real predatory positions like today, honestly feel like he would be in real serious contention for player of the season if we had him since the start .even the games he doesn’t score he absolutely works his ass off whatever league we are in he’s a no brainer

The Stewart goal was lovely close control Larin is just on fire atm if we had him at the start of the season I could see him being in the player of the year discussion

I genuinely feel some of the stuff like bazunu in particular and possibly Bree could have been carry over advice given to spors. he wouldn’t have seen a lot of bazunu himself as he was on loan to liege the previous season, it’s funny how project bazunu seemed to be forced on every manager we had too, surely he couldn’t have fooled everyone .. Will still you can kind of the logic in at the time .and I guess he did actually bring in a cf the problem is it was downs. What you say is right though if these mistakes didn’t happen it would have been automatic

Been a little disappointed with Charles lately don’t get me wrong he’s popped up with some important goals for us .and probably has one of the highest ceilings out of our midfield bar jander maybe , but he can be a bit sloppy at times with his passing and I think we look less solid with him in the team. The strange thing is I thought he was signed more as a defensive midfielder but his skillset is probably looking more like a 10 in the azaz role for me

I’d go with azaz cup goal .. when you consider the occasion the little spin first touch and he knew exactly what he was doing it wasn’t just a let have a pop

Tonda was a very brave choice, most of the fan base didn’t want him due to lack of experience and after we had just failed with another really young manager in will still it looked crazy for them to double down on it. as I said in the post above I think there may well have been some carry over influence regarding the bazunu decision and other stuff so maybe spors was badly advised here. in general though he’s made a load of cracking signings and also rectified the mistakes in January so thumbs up

We should just rest key players and get fresh for the playoffs now .. azaz got smashed up yesterday in a game that it probably wouldn’t have got us promoted even if we won .. we have no one to fear in the playoffs better to just get fresh and ready then worrying about anything else

Yup also still had to cope with the changes like having matty fernandes etc at the start of the season then having a different squad after the window

Don’t think any of us would have chosen tonda over will still at the start of the season, don’t get me wrong there still sone bad mistakes like not sorting out the goalkeeper or striker positions which where costly, I wonder if some of this stuff was due to bad advice from people at the club longer ? Spors saying that building squad being like a art looked laughable at one point but he’s put everything right by the end of the January window at least and now we are flying . last thing we need right now imo is spors Fucking off to juve or some other big club and taking the likes of tonda with him we haven’t had any stability with the likes of shields and Wilcox jumping ship and spors could be very integral in keeping tonda and sone of the players signed under him His knowledge of the German market in particular has been excellent quite exciting to see how his recruitment would be if we get promoted

Think we really need this guy to stick around and finally get stability on that front . Him being here next season could also be a massive factor with tonda too imo , you could argue tonda kinda owes him after the faith spors showed in him

Whilst most people going for jander who was obviously great. for me I’d probably give it to azaz . Absolute worldie goal and not only that the disallowed Leo goal was all down to his play and perfect as usual through ball .. didn’t he also put fellows in on goal too ? I said before I think he’s probably better suited to when we are playing on the break so could actually be a real star for us in the premiership

Second goal is down to not closing him down though sure it’s a good strike but i doubt he even has the idea to have the strike if he’s got anyone rushing out to him .: we where to busy defending deep which opened it up for him

Fantastic effort gutted for azaz deserved to take us through with that class strike .second half we tended to get pinned in which we didn’t do in the first half or vs arsenal so couldn’t get on the counter .both city goals feel like they shouldn’t have happened big deflection for first and second due to no one closing down

Tbh those in charge probably fucked up automatic promotion just for failing to realise how shit he is . So for all the good signings they made was derailed by failing to see the obvious

Peretz bree Thb. Stephens hopefully welli Downes jander bragg felliows. Scienza Larin/Stewart kinda harsh to think of dropping azaz but he has looked sluggish last couple of games and might be better to go with the high energy three of downes jabser and Bragg here .. genuinely don’t mind out of Stewart and larin larin has been absolutely awesome tbh but Ross is super clinical and has played a big part in us getting this far so I wouldn’t be begrudge him starting if tonda decides that

Gotta give credit to hodgson I think that’s the Best a team has set up against us for a long time they where happy knocking it around the back and trying to draw us out and they also finding good space when they did attack .. think tonda countered it well near the end when we went two up top . Few poor performances thought azaz and Charles where pretty poor today . Looking like millwall are gonna take the second spot now although maybe if the shackles come off Leicester and Oxford and they manage to pull a upset we would have a chance again.. a bit gutted after the amount of momentum we had going .. will have to smash City now to make up for it 😜

Without wanting to tinker too much it would be interesting to give archer a audition on the right .. that right wing is the only position I feel like no one’s fully claimed fellows could be a option for city good game vs arsenal but as we know can’t score , matsuki isn’t really a wide player and doesn’t really have the pace for it but still contributes in other ways .. but if we could have two pacy wide goal threats for the city match it could actually be ideal for playing on the break .
