  1. I think he strikes a good ball personally most of his efforts are dangerous and he has good technique fairly confident he’s a lot better then his goal stats show
  2. See this is one of the reasons young players isn’t always better. If he was a academy boy like dibling doing this you could be sure he would be getting hyped to hell and having all the big clubs sniffing around . But since he’s 27 feels like there is a lot more chance in him not being as attractive and actually staying with us
  3. I’m not sure how they calculate dribble stats these days but It’s hard to remember scienza ever getting stopped when he’s running at defenders. If he cuts in he’s getting a shot off if he goes the other way yea getting to the byline and and getting a drag back or cross in.. even comparing him to absolute Goat dribblers like Ronaldinho hazard ronaldo etc he still seems awesome cos he just seems to do what he wants every time and there is no stopping it
  4. Any streams please ?
  5. Don’t think McCarthy is anywhere near as bad as bazunu tbh he might make an occasional error but can at least make saves .bazunu just doesn’t look like he knows what he’s doing and is constiently terrible. even will still was starting to see how bad bazunu was and dropped him after a while
  6. The buck should stop at ekhart for selecting him. It’s been blatantly clear for at least two years that bazunu is a absolute disaster . he’s always gonnna be shit but can we make sure hes not doing us damage by playing him
  7. He’s really been great recently superb running with the ball . But do we think he could be even better in a 4231 with science other side and azaz in the hole.. we don’t need to change it at the moment but think we could see him improve even more if he wasn’t playing wingback
  8. Have to disagree archer is probably a better finisher then AA . He only really played in a underperforming mess of a side under will still I think the biggest problem for archer has been he’s only really played much in systems which probably suited a big centre forward more .. under ekhart you would think he could step up as he has pretty similar game to Armstrong
  9. Whilst it can be said he didn’t really tackle the gk and cf priority positions he’s actually done a pretty cracking job .. even though it’s a league down who even misses dibling and fernandes when we replaced with scienza azaz and fellows . Jander looks great and quarshie has potential.
  10. He’s playing so well I’m almost getting suckered into thinking he could do it at premiership level again . At the moment we are playing in a very quick on the floor counter attacking way that suits him it’s definitely the right way to use him. In the past we have always whinged about not having a big strong cf to hold up play but we are currently playing in a way we don’t need that
  11. But surely you need to factor in the other interims was when we was in the premiership . Even a dumb ass like Russell Martin managed to get promoted with a strong Southampton squad .. we where second favourite to win the league at the start of the season will still had us In a totally false position
  12. Let’s come back to this at the end of the season. If you can do that without getting butthurt if it doesn’t go to plan I’m happy to be proven wrong . at the end of the day we have two seasons to get out of this league so for this ekhart move to be a good idea he needs to achieve promotion in that time . Also let’s not forget Russell Martin wasn’t too bad in the championship either with a better squad then the rest of the league.doesn’t mean he’s a great manager though .. scienza is playing like bale atm and is the biggest factor in our form whatever happened under will still I have no idea but feels like the quality of our attack is what’s getting results
  13. The consensus on here was we all hoped that sports republic would have instantly gone out and got us an experienced manager by the end of that international break .. it’s extremely results based thinking by so many on here regarding ekhart .. if Doris the dinner lady was given four matches as interim and won all four it’s still a stupid idea that she got the chance in the first place right ? logic over results
  14. If we go back to before he got chance as interim manager not one person on here would have wanted him to be giving the job . Every other time we have promoted youth coaches wigley gray selles etc they have all been terrible on paper he should have never have gotten the chance . imo sports republic have kinda lucked out on idea that’s gonna fail 9 out of ten times . They will now probably see this as their smart out of the box thinking is ahead of the game . =rewarding stupidity
  15. Kinda mixed feelings on him myself results are good so far so credit for that. But I think it also rewards sports republics stupidity and probably sets the tone for them to do stuff like this in the future wouldn’t be at all surprised to see lallana as our next manager. also feel like we actually have a fantastic for the level attack that is carrying us a lot more then his tactics . Let’s be honest scienza azaz Armstrong and fellows looks way better then the attack we got promoted with. Which begs the question was will still really that shit or is eckhart a great manager ?
  16. This is the thing it’s all such a fickle game by game judgement of him ..if he fails to win the next couple of games no one will want him again .. seems we are now going from development club for players to managers too now problem is it’s all risk with no financial upside anyway
  17. Regarding succession planning really hope we are not now gonna have a string of interim managers with Lallana being next to the throne. it’s extremely Mickey Mouse view that we should now be a development club for managers to learn their trade at and there’s no financial gain in it either
  18. Despite the poor start we have had under still promotion should be the target this season whether that be automatic or play offs otherwise it’s another fuck up on sportts republic with the above in mind is ekhart really the man to deliver this ? It’s a huge gamble imo and fans fickle opinions will be changing on him after each and every result
  19. Depends if it was just a case of he players not playing for still or still being totally shit .. I’m sure a interim manager would probably do better then slot at LiverpooL atm but doesn’t mean it would be the smartest idea
  20. Think sports republic obviously want ekhart else they surely would have just appointed a experienced manager already during the international break . think it’s a bit of a huge overreaction over his four game win streak though when scienza is fit we do have a pretty amazing attack full of pace from everywhere. How much of it is due to ekhart I’m not sure .
  21. Well that was a couple of games ago .. happy to be proven wrong . Don’t think any of us would have chosen Ekhart though
  22. Bet all the people saying he should get the job will be quick to slag off sports republic if it all goes tits. we can’t afford another mistake The beauty of this is we are under no pressure whilst he’s winning to make a decision. as well as he’s doing he’s lucky he’s even getting the oppurtunity so the smart thing to is to make absolute sure before getting to excited and handing him the job
  23. It’s still a small sample size though .. you need to ask yourself the question how will you feel about it making sense if the good form suddenly turns into bad form. Does three results really earn our trust this fast ?. At the moment maybe the smartest thing to do would just be to let him continue as interim, it gives us a chance to trial him before we commit and it’s pretty unlikely some big club are gonna come and steal him away.
  24. Great performance today but my issue with Eckert is that it makes pretty much no sense whatsoever on paper . Whilst he winning it’s all good but any drop in form if we did appoint him then it would quickly go back to looking a silly idea again . Fan confidence will be completely result based with him
  25. Im not saying we should appoint Jones btw but at least Jones has done good jobs (charlton and Luton ) whilst eckart just seems a total punt . Jones wasn’t a good fit at the time and didn’t Manage to turn a already bad premiership side around in a short space of time but maybe it might have panned out differently if he was instead appointed when we appointed Martin . maybe Elkhart will go on to be a good manager in the future but I don’t see why it should be us that gives him the chance. we are big enough at this level to attract actual managers with some type of proven track record
