My argument is it’s gonna be harder to attract premiership quality players when we are in the championship . for example I doubt we are gonna be throwing around 15-20 on strikers .. so it’s probably better to try keep hold of rhe 15-20m attackers we have the likes of paul sully AA archer are gonna be top players at this level .. there’s no guarantee that the players we sign will step up a level as we saw with ThB and downes we ended up spending a big chunk of our budget on those two and they where signed when Wilcox was here

Exactly this .. we have a strong championship side that’s been proven .. not sure why everyone is shitting their knickers just because the strong championship players are getting found out at premiership level .. the likes of archer onuachu Armstrong will score a shit ton in the championship AA and archer are proven and they ain’t even good enough to start for us atm

I totally disagree with those saying we need a mass clearout the gap between premiership and championship is huge as you can see by Leicester and Ipswich also being shit.. all three of us very strong last season if we keep most of the squad together most of our players are really strong for championship level and even Martin managed to get promoted with bazunu in goal to add to that what is the point in having a huge revamp n the championship when we will not be able to attract the players we would if in the premiership . Meaning they could end up like downes and Thb or worse again when we get promoted .. surely makes more sense to keep a very championship proven team together and keep our powder mainly dry for when we go up that’s when we need the clear out

Yet on pages 4 and 5 you was absolutely creaming over him sorry but it just seems mad to me when peoples opinion changes so much on a guy we have hardly seen Abk under Ralph was up with lavia as our top prospects and didn’t receive a Germany call up by accident for me he’s kinda in the same bracket as sully and alcaraz russ didn’t like them and pretty much fucked their chances at saints there is a top player in there though

My problem with B is if you just wed yourself to one continuous system over a long period it becomes predictable and other sides can figure you out eventually .. for me I’d rather we just get someone who is tactically flexible . This sticking to one system shit is getting really tiresome now we should be aiming to be able to adapt to other teams and ideas when it’s not working

Yup . It’s just totally bizarre that you would play one proper centre back .. and then you have the two man midfield with only one of them being anything close to defensive .. absolutely dumb 4231 is such a blatant obvious system for us but no one plays it

I see dragon pretty much as a backseat owner a bit like Markus was the main difference is Markus had a absolute gem in cortese overseeing everything so he didn’t have to ., whilst solak has had idiots like Ankerson and Kraft and is now having to step in himself as for open cheque books it isn’t like cortese was spending more then Sr anyway. What he did well aas to put excellent people in positions like Mitchell, adkins pochettino.. he wouldn’t tolerate failure which is why we had a great recruitment period and we where always on the upwards trajectory

Point is cortese is the perfect person to let run the club .. solak wouldn’t have to lift a finger if he had him in charge just like Markus didn’t. What I find crazy is when cortese was in charge there was and still is a big portion of people who didn’t like him ., well he was quite the opposite of sports republic the way they get every big decision wrong he got every one right . if you really wanted someone who could run the club and might actually stay I’d take him over this johannes spors all day long .. I noticed spors has had a plethora of clubs and doesn’t usually stick around for more then a couple of years.. I can see this going the same way as shields and Wilcox especially as he’s already been linked with bigger clubs like spurs and Newcastle . Wishfull thinking on the cortese stuff but he was amazing for us and I’d piggy back him here

Seems like there was a big mates thing going on with russ I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the ones he alienated Are not english,charly,sulemana onuachu,Abk Les to a degree this season we are seeing for ourselves now that they are better then many of his mates that got the nod instead

Seems a bit disrespectful to juric that players like dibling and ramsdale have recently been coming out with comments praising RM. We know downes is stropping and someone mentioned THB too .. I’m not usually one to judge what happens behind the scenes but makes you wonder if some of the players are making juric life more difficult

Think it would be a idiot move to tear up the squad in the summer. for example letting AA Go to a championship rival when he’s prolific there would be really dumb so we probably will lol.. most of our players are gonna be strong championship players we dont need that much surgery .. maybe get a couple of midfielders that suit juric more and rest is good to go

I think we are better under juric we have improved attacking wise.. keeping hold of the ball counts for nothing when it’s just slow and predictable like under RM.. im still of the opinion the squad isn’t as bad as the results we’ve had all season again I’m not saying the likes of bednarek are good but him Stephens kwp ramsdale etc have all played plenty of premiership football without being totally destroyed every week like we have been this year .. it’s either the midfield is so bad and offers no protection or both managers haven’t been able to create a solid defence of maybe a combination of both

Nice to see kamaldeen coming out and addressing the allegations of poor attitude , what he says about needing a run in the side to get form and confidence going is hundred percent right . Too many players get written off without a good run in the side. Ar the moment I think he’s our most dangerous player really hope he stays next season would be just our luck if he starts blowing up at the end of this season only to leave in the summer

He seems more buoyant recently which is good . I do like juric and hope he can get his way of playing working .

I think ABK did look a good upgrade initially but for whatever reasons he can’t get a look in now .. I just think there’s more to it then the actual defenders being crap I’ll agree they are lower end premiership players at best but the argument is they are not being helped at all by our managers this seasons tactics,we gave away countless goals under Martin with passing out under pressure and now juric leaves the defence very exposed with the 2 cms there’s too much space and teams easily slice through us .. I’d be happy just to see us become well drilled like Burnley where Saturday . Credit to them once they got there goal they defended in numbers as a unit which we seem to never be able to do effectively how many times this season have we defended well as a unit ? We just seem to get broken on and there’s no help for our defence

Both played under hasenhuttl too I’m not trying to make out either are brilliant but they certainly fared better then this season .. for me we just seem to chose managers that can’t grind out a result .. Martin encouraged us to play suicidal passing around the back line and juric is totally giving up the midfield .. you don’t need superstars to have a well drilled defence

I’m still not buying that our squad is just terrible .. didn’t Claude puel get a ton of clean sheets with stephens and bednarek? Both have played in enough premier league seasons and never been this bad before,same goes for kwp.. central midfield you can certainly argue is one of our biggest issues but playing only two in there isn’t helping personally think fernandes is better as a midfielder dibling and sully are workable as wide fws. Cf isn’t great but onuachu can score goals if given the right service .. point here is that our defenders have performed way better then they are this season . There still seems to be something seriously up with the way we are setting up to ship so many goals, managers job should be at least make us hard to break down ., look at Burnley Saturday they were super well drilled, it wasn’t a team of superstars but they knew how to defend .. why can’t our managers seem to be able to grind results out ?
