You tried to pad diblings stats by giving all competitions so he got his two goals but sulemana was head and shoulders motm that day also lastly I have more time for both as they might actually still be Southampton players next season and play a big part whilst your boy swans off to warm the bench with utd or Newcastle or whoever

Pointless comparison sully and Paul didn’t get a look in under Martin . Dibling has had almost as many starts as sully and Paul combined yet still hasn’t much better stats in the pl . also all goals have been close range tap ins .. really he hasn’t done much bar a few mazy dribbles he just gets away with it more as he’s a academy kid let me put it another way if we had shelled out 50-100 million on him people would be criticising the shit out of him with the output compared to value

Shame he can’t play like milt whilst Matt was pure end product and could score from anywhere literally all I’ve seen from dibling is some nice dribbling and it’s not like he’s boufal good with that . He’s done pretty much nothing since Martin left imo all three of sully fernandes and pauk deserve their places more ..

Well it certainly would have been better for his value then not playing .. you can’t know that for sure ., I remember at the start of the season russ said something about Tyler being more developed physically which I guess was the reason Sam didn’t get the games

Not really sure what you mean .. when a kid breaks into the first team and shows potential the hype machine starts just as we have seen with dibling ….dibling hasn’t really contributed assists and only couple of goals .. Sam amo was basically In the same bracket as dibling a young kid who can beat players with pace and dribbling hes looked great when he did get on the pitch.. you just seem to be taking the fact he didn’t get the chances dibling did as proof that’s he’s not good enough . He certainly looks better then tella and Nathan dyer did at similar age

If we had played him regularly this season his value could have been big like diblings .. I mean dibling has a 100 m tag on him now just for beating players and nice dribbling, Sam just as capable of doing the same always looked great on the chances he did get .. wonder who made this decision to let him go ?

For me when you look at squad balance ramsdale will be the most difficult to replace. As I said in the other thread you could play Adam Armstrong in diblings position and it’s very very possible Armstrong will have more goal/assist contributions then dibling ..so that sale wouldn’t really hurt us Ramsdale on the other hand we go from having a international level keeper who could be the difference between promotion of not to someone like bazunu or McCarthy his value is worth a lot more to our success next year then a average 20 million transfer fee we will be totally weaker for it .. for me I’d like to see us put a stupid 50m price tag on him we shouldn’t sell just at a average price to please him we should think what’s best for us

Too early to get excited but if spors first big decision is putting a 100 m price tag on tyler He’s winning me over already . Be good if we also put stupid price tags on ramsdale and fernandes too .. we should be looking at what makes us stronger on the pitch rather then does the player want to leave .. for example ramsdale would be a massive difference maker for us next season .. us taking 20 m for him and ending up with bazunu back in goal weakens us dramatically . wiukd be great if we put huge prices on players like this either pay silly money or we keep the player

Props to the club if they really are sticking 100 m price tag on him . Whilst he’s a talented player with high potential I honestly feel That if we stick Adam Armstrong back in his position we will not miss dibling at all next season if armstrongs numbers are similar to last times . Ramsdale on the other hand is not gonna be replaced by sticking bazunu back in championship or not

Me too the difference between ramsdale and bazunu is huge ramsdale makes saves he shouldn’t whilst a shot on goal with bazunu between the sticks is usually a goal .. I get that he probably won’t wanna stay but he would make a huge difference for us so we shouldn’t be letting him for a cheap or even fair price

So what type of fee do we think we should’ve asking for ramsdale at the end of the season ? Some people seem to be saying around 20m so money back. But for me he should be worth way more to us then that, easily best keeper we have had since niemi and also our best player full stop imo Whichever premier league side tries to buy him are getting a no risk international level goalkeeper so it will be a bit annoying if we just sell him for a money back kinda deal

Not sure why you guys are aiming so low we shouldn’t take under 50m imo didn’t we get 60 for lavia ? I’m not diblings biggest fan but being English attacking player and the hype and grealish comparisons should probably make dibling worth more

In a thinking about the future positive spin way if this dogshit season makes Sr understand that you cannot compete by signing a ton of Poundland players maybe it could actually be a good thing in the end . I don’t think the trying to buy cheap for profit way is ever sustainable in the end the decent players go and you get stuck with the shit ones that don’t pan out and eventually it ends up in a mess.. it’s not like making a big sale allows us to increase our quality by buying bigger

Your kinda missing the point though .. I’m not saying he’s the worst player . Just the most overrated .. he might be a great player in the future but it won’t be with us . There’s no reason to fawn over a player that won’t be here next season and that his only contribution is a few dribbles with no end product .. sulemana gets a shit ton of criticism for the same thing

I think it’s a case of I can’t connect with the guy as aintforever said he’s just gonna be another rat that deserts the sinking ship.. he’s never looked like he’s gonna stay with us and his future isn’t here so I’m not sure why you think he deserves a special treatment for being 18 yo or from the academy ? Couple that with he hasn’t really made any impact bar a couple of tap ins or a few dribbles with no end product he just seems completely overrated .. sulemana looks more dangerous or like creating anything then him since juric has been in charge .. I’ve got more time for players that actually might contribute for us n the championship next season

Usually it’s pretty painful when we sell one of our young prospects .. but Truth is his output after 25 prem games is two goals and no assists if it was anyone else they would get slated for no end product. I don’t think we will miss that kind of output at all next season plus we will be in the championship where a Adam Armstrong can rip it up so it’s gonna be no loss

There is more then a element of truth, it’s easy to cherry pick a few 10-20 million players from other clubs, you could point out fernandes and ramsdale for us, but since we are shopping in the bargain basement you have gotta expect more misses then hits, also the fact that we are so absolutely cheap skate in the transfer market always trying to penny pinch and haggle means even if we do identify decent targets through our recruitment if another premiership club comes in for said player he will go there instead because everyone else is willing to pay more so we end up probably having to settle for our fourth or fifth choice instead of our first choice .. overall I think we need to be a lot more aggressive about getting the targets we actually want. don’t settle for players that are your forth or fifth choice . I think this not wanting to spend the going rate started with Semmens and sports republic have followed his lead in the worst way possible

Right but his job as one of our attacking 10s/wfs is to create chances or score and he’s not doing much at all of that lately. Walcott started out in a poor team too and made impact .let’s be honest his form has fell off hugely and he hasn’t been looking that dangerous for a long time . considering he’s gonna probably bail on us anyway in the summer I don’t really care about this one of our own or just a kid stuff .. are we really gonna miss him if he goes ?

Most overrated player we have ever had he’s been piss poor since the start of the year really .some decent dribbling and beating players in his early games for us but doesn’t even do much of that now . I know his shot led to the goal today but his overall impact over the past few months has been shit especially when he’s hyped up like the next mlt bale or Walcott ..

Not sure it’s really a core group of players . The only players regularly starting this season fron the last relegation is kwp and bednarek . Simplistic thinking or not most people on here haven’t really been happy with either russ persistently playing out the from the back under pressure (pundits also mocked us trying this ) .. or juric playing the two man midfield the opposition waltz through .. considering we are still on 9 points it can’t be A much worse idea then what we have had to suffer with this seasons tactics

I’m not sure it’s true that the tactical decisions are silly at all .. let’s be honest we have played idiot tactics for pretty much all the season .. Martin was using the suicidal passing out under pressure which conceded us a ton of goals .. and juric has gave up the midfield in every match bar the last one which we actually needed two penalties to lose to the league leaders if juric actually sticks to the 4 at the back with two dms we will actually get a answer to was it just two idiots setting us up wrong all season but maybe it was just a one off cos it was LiverpooL 😒 . this is kinda last chance saloon for juric imo . If he shows he can adapt now and manages to get a few results with a tactical change Fair play to him yes he could of done it sooner, but at least shows he is open to adapting .. if he reverts back to the 3-4-3 shit is as stubborn and dumb as Martin and it’s gonna be the last time I defend him

Totally depends on results Though doesn’t it ? I’d say it’s better to try and be solid hit teams on the break and get points then try to play good football and lose every week ., we did well yesterday the best team in the country needed two penalties ., it’s a hell of a lot better then the beatings we took from Brighton and Bournemouth etc so it looks a positive change tactically
