  1. Well, we're only going on the evidence.
  2. I think you mean "sterling".. But I think it's reasonable for the club to make the point: they want to explain the level of ticket prices, to encourage people to come by underlining the lower prices, generate a bit of interest generally. Lower ticket prices will also benefit away fans and, let's face it, I'm sure the visitors would rather come to a ground with a decent crowd and atmosphere which will still generate a good sum for their club.
  3. Ooo, *****. I think you've almost scored a point.;-)
  4. The game against West Ham away when we drew and stayed up was also "all ticket" according to our club. A group of us went up on the day and got tickets in the home stand... ;-)
  5. i think pfc should go on BBC Matt's blog if he thinks it's only us having a go. We may be better informed here, but other fans from rival clubs are catching up fast. I used to think he was an internet troll (he still is of course..) but I'm also beginning to think he's got a full magazine but isn't bright enough to realise he's firing blanks.
  6. Well, I got a two pointer for telling the truth about someone I haven't seen recently - no names, no pack drill - and I still stand by what I say although I could have said a lot more that would have been regarded as abusive, but all of it true!:-) Still, I didn't protest my yellow card...:-)
  7. I wonder if a Socratic dialogue would help him.. (or sod, was it Plato or aristotle..) Anyway, do you agree with Colinjb's figures above? Did the withdrawal of Barclay's overdraft not mean that RL immediately put Saints into insolvency to avoid trading whilst insolvent? Do you think Portsmouth were solvent before they went into administration? Did Saints immediately get rid of all the expensive players they could and play the kids?. Did Pompey get rid of all their expensive players and play the kids? [i might accept "what kids?" as an answer..] Did Aviva accept the offer on the mortgage (which was against a secured asset, a decent stadium)? Did Aviva make a big loss on the deal. I'll answer this and the next for you.. NO Did Aviva make quite as much money as they expected (at a time when interest rates were generally falling). NO Are Portsmouth's average crowds, in the Championship, bigger than Saints in L1? Are Saints relying on parachute monies for their future? Are Portsmouth relying on parachute monies for their future? Do Saints have assets like a decent ground and training ground? Do Portsmouth have assets like a decent ground and training ground? I could go on but I'm getting bored now...
  8. Just having a cup of tea and some entertainment here before off to post my tax form. The point is pfc123, that we are just trying to give some balance to your tripping-through-the-daisies view. I don't think anybody has denied making estimates but they are based on a degree of knowledge, even if it actually means believeing android occasionally.. A lot of our talk about % of turnover to wages etc is just plain business givens or knowns, as are the comments about our respective crowds. Personally I think our estimates are a _lot_ better than yours!
  9. Ivan Golac... I still remember his thighs!
  10. Were you getting her excited then? (Sorry about the edit:-) )
  11. D'Urso...
  12. I know it's Saints OS (Twitter feed) but... GOAL! Unbelievable finish from Chamberlain as he dances around a couple of defenders in the box and fires home! 2-1!!!
  13. That's what I thought but didn't want to risk anything by saying so. Next time I'll try to avoid even thinking it!
  14. Sod me, any description, defence taking afternoon nap, midfield admiring the view? Think I'll go back to flute practice. Sod
  15. We're not Portsmouth you know..

Gawd, your not one of them, are you. You know, a Liberal Democrat?
  17. You been taking lessons from alpine?
  18. I was thinking Twyford's are usually good quality, but then actually read the OP. Try a local bun?
  19. Nah, the only people you'd have to worry about are the ones not worth worrying about; usually the less educated, more stupid and generally bigotted about most things. Anyway, don't forget us lesbians who, I have to say, do make up a higher than normal percentage in women's football!;-)
  20. True. Unlike Corp Ho who is so stupid that he (I presume) doesn't realise he shouldn't be PMSL but crapping himself from fear. Nah, to Mack you'd say, "reckon you're wrong mate, fancy another pint?". To Corp; well, I'm too polite to suggest likely comments if you met in person. Feel free to add likely comments.
  21. Plus ability to use a shredder...
  22. Just noticed I missed a radio 4 programme about insolvency practitioners: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00v72js Sound familiar?
  23. Now I have to be polite here as I recently got an infraction for being truthful about a poster here, using terminology I normally never do. But I'd just like to say that you don't seem to be the brightest star in the firmament. As you may be aware (I'm being polite) the clubs who have been penalised points (Luton et al.) have been punished due the action by people associated with them, such as directors. Trying to make a distinction between the club and the people who run it is like a murderer saying "it wasn't me, it was the gun".
  24. ..and even then some never achieve it. (No names, no pack drill Baj;-))
  25. Best if any such letters are also copied to all the chairmen of the clubs in the same division..
