It’s not too late to get a manager with (check notes) experience of the Championship rather than yet another appointment that makes the appointees into some kind of genius if it comes off. Not that any of the ‘clever clever’ left field reinventing football ones have. Talking about a video on Monday Night Football isn’t enough for me. We’ll see how the players take to him - they’re so confused by all these systems. Should have gone old school.

Just read a rumour we have interviewed former Man U coach Eric Ramsay. Fuck me we have some morons at the club. Probably another Rasmus left field ‘I am a genius’ appointment. Am done if this happens.

The best signing we could possibly make is to sack Rasmus Ankersen, whose 'out of the box' thinking has got us in this mess with terrible appointments and whose reverse Midas touch permeates throughout the whole club. We need to do this quickly, and get on with hiring a manager asap even if it costs a little more, in contrast to our usual modus operandi. Then sell our crown jewels early to pay for a solid defence and spine. Would like to keep Fernades but someone will come in for him. Need to replace with strong and physical players who want to play for us, in an atmosphere not tarnished top down by Ankersen and his deluded thinking.

100% this. He is the main reason we are in this mess and needs to be sacked as soon as possible. His pathetic 'leftfield' appointments are all about him trying to ape the fluky success of Brentford in a bid to make him out to be some kind of contrarian genius. Instead we have had some of the worst managerial appointments in the history of Southampton FC, which has meant we have lurched from playing style to playing style, personality to personality, leaving all the players just confused. This has show itself on the field, where nobody knows what to do anymore. We need to get this man out of the club. It is the only way we can move forward.
