Good point well made. Kane was absolutely terrible and entirely distorted the way England played. By not actually venturing into their penalty box, it allowed all the defences we played to push up as there was nobody to mark. Woeful and a hard watch. We need a keeper and a striker.

Really didn't like the home kit when I saw the leaked shot. Couldn't believe it looked so cheap, like a knock-off from Poundland or a holiday stall. Looked better in the launch, but it's still a bit telling that most shots have the players grasping at the shirt to pull it, perhaps shielding what a poor cut it is. Looks very baggy, and should be more fitted on the torso. But it is getting better as the hours pass. Like the stripes - no mucking about. I'd say get Downes in now and it will start to look okay, and even better if we could perhaps convince KWP to stay (although the economics there might mean he has to go). Then we need a keeper, Che to leave and a good striker come in. Quite torn about Delap - didn't think he's worth it, but Ipswich having him is annoying, especially as I suspect their manage will get a tune out of him. Do think Ings would be a mistake, but may be our level
