Never thought he’d score. Absolute shit.
-
Massive weak spot is Stephens. Let his man go again there. Shame he is captain as he seems undroppable despite being some way off prem standard
-
Look a different and better team without Smallbone slowing everything down. ps have Liverpool bought Dibling yet? 😂
-
Reiss Nelson move to Ipswich falling through is good news. Fulham got him. Looks like Ipswich failed in Broja too. Hope Cornet comes through for us. Really happy about Fraser and so chuffed with Ramsdale. But wow. Keeping KWP is right up there with the best business. Might he sign a new deal with us? Or just walk free next season?
-
Dildo Esque. Available on a free.
-
We should definitely give Cornet the number 99. To be fair, I think this has been a good window. Adding experience of the Prem throughout. Nice work Saints.
-
Bit underwhelmed by Cornet and guess it means no JWP. Be a sickener if he went to a rival relegation candidate. At least Cornet is experienced I guess. I would have thought Fraser will be our final addition. Also experienced so can see a blend here.
-
Not sure it’s one or the other, as with most transfer windows. Concurrent. Personally in favour.
-
I agree with that but still think for a loan he would provide valuable experience (along with Ramsdale and Lallana) and a bond with the fans, which is important, sometimes more than performances alone. His dead ball contributions would also be handy to link to the striker I hope we are working on now. So personally all for it.

Edinburgh is not in England
-
Ipswich now after the West Brom lad, Tom Fellows. Have bidded 11m. Unbelievable. Imagine if they went for JWP…
-
Woohoo! We’ve sorted another position that isn’t the positions we need to. Must Traore harder. Get Ramsdale done.
-
Absolute shambles. Called it on the keeper but was only half joking. Now the Rasmus scatter gun is unleashed on all the clever clever jewels that reflect oh so welll on his uncanny genius. Or so he says. Last seen getting Nathan Jones in. Absolute shit show.
-
Teams who give it a go and have pace and directness will do better than those who pass it from side to side, are content to have one shot in the game and are scared shitless of losing the ball so don’t try anything. I’m afraid this is us again this season. Can get away with it in the Championship. Not here.
-
Can we cut live to the new keeper’s medical for a bit of light relief? All gone very quiet. Have they discovered he only has one hand? Rasmus is such a cock
-
Bit sad about Alcarez going. Someone who showed clear intent on going forward and making things happen, rather than just boringly keep possession without threat. I do hope that the signs that Russ doesn’t like such players and prefers just passing opponents to death will not perist. Or that the reason he hasn’t used some of the fringe players who show that kind of adventure isn’t in the same ballpark. Because if it is then I really can’t see how we will score goals. So will just be planning even now for making an attempt to regain promotion next season.
-
It could be worse. We could have Brentford’s away kit
-
This. Signing injury prone players seems to be the Southampton way
-
So why haven’t they sorted it for the last decade?
-
Watch him cock it up again tomorrow, to no-one’s surprise. Russ will say it was bad particles in the air or something. The keeper blindness goes on.
-
Replacement for Jermaine Jenas right there with that level of analysis
-
Agreed. Looks like a bluff to me. We prefer injured players. 😉
-
Think we should forget about Ramsdale. Far too good (and expensive) for us. And I have a feeling he’ll go to Bournemouth to be with his best fwend. Now if we got Brooks again… Please sort keeper. It’s excruciating. One that saves goals will be enough.
-
It’s also incredibly hard to keep such by definition ego-heavy players happy when they are not in the team (witness Sterling and his ‘statement’ released to the press. All of which creates pressure on the manager, who will always only be temporary as players agitate and noises off become difficult to manage. It’s rumoured that this got to Pochetino and that he left rather than was sacked. So to me this policy that Chelsea have under Boehly is not clever at all. Quite apart from the potential points deduction that may arise from dealings under Abramovich.

It’s a good job JWP never left as we don’t have to get him back 😂
