Adam Armstrong is shit. Why does he keep getting picked?
-
Agree. Great deal for us and he’s largely unproven. Now hope it can unlock some good buys. And he didn’t go to Spurs so all good.
-
Apparently we are in for Sane
-
Danish. Brentford. Hmmm. Can't THINK who had a hand in this one. Looks okay though - decent signing, especially if it means Sugawara does indeed move on. He's way off the quality of even the Championship.
-
I posted on here a while back how worried I was if Dibling goes to Spurs - they'll claim him as they did Gareth Bale and our song. Bloody oiks. So entitled and deluded. So I hope he goes to Palace to get Spurs fans frothing at the mouth even more - it's so funny to hear. The Boro lad sounds like a potentially good buy, after all of these Armenian dalliances. We still need a keeper though PS I totally get that Romeu to us is highly unlikely - was merely expressing how much I rate him.
-
Romeu is still twice the player Downes will ever be. I’d have him back like a shot, not least for his leadership on the pitch. Technically brilliant and still fit and strong enough, I’ll bet.
-
I think given Everton's outlay on Grealish's wages it may be more likely that Dibling goes to Palace as an Eze replacement
-
Something something Portsmouth is in the ghett
-
Our scouting system seems to be asking Still if he's seen anyone in Ligue 1 that is okay, has two legs and is cheap, whilst pretending we're going for players who blatantly would never come and keeping all the shit ones we have already. I'm looking at YOU, Adam Armstrong
-
We are one injury away from having McCarthy ‘in’ ‘goal’. Get a bloody keeper, Saints.
-
We're signing Tony Blair. Plays just to the left of centre.
-
Agree. He’s really poor. Played like a pub player v Brighton. Positional poor. Bad at passing. Need better.
-
Proven and would also damage a rival. Better option in my book. Really isn’t a lot of money.
-
I would have thought that this ends the Dibling to Everton move but wouldn't rule out Spurs popping up as they are always a bit annoying like that and are probably after someone like Dibling given the need for bodies and their renowned 'flair' (they keep telling us). Bloody hope not, though, and that we have him for next season. If so, might mean we cool off on our pursuit of Spertsyan or suddenly discover permit problems etc
-
Did he say ‘what shall I do?’ Clueless
-
Turns out Championship Manager is harder in the flesh and not in a shit French league
-
Inexperienced manager in clueless formation/selections shock.
-
Christ. It's like we type into a computer 'goalkeeper' and just go after any old bloke. We NEED to strengthen here with a proven keeper. Spend some money on a decent name that plays ahead of Bazunu. Beggars belief we are one injury away from McCrappy going in goal and pretending to have a presence.
-
Antonio from West Ham. One last season bullying the Champ? Would love to see it but of course would never happen. Or could it?
-
Hence my use of the word 'if'
-
If we are really baulking at paying £15m for a good young player to replace one we might get £45m for then we can't really complain if we fall short of promotion next season. Seems quite Saintsy though

Disturbing lack of business. Will add fuel to fire when the media luvvies go into a lather about Wrexham beating us on the opening day...
-
Stephens played an absolutely ridiculously risky short pass in his own box in the second hand which would have been punished with better finishing. He does at least one of these brain farts every game. Which is why he will never be much cop. Edwards looked like a Rolls Royce to his Lada.
-
Totally agree with this. Edwards was so good. Should be playing in place of Jack - mystifying how we have made him captain and given him such a long contract. Baz was actually ok but we still need a keeper to keep McCarthy at bay. Sesay excellent. Robinson offered us the directness we needed, and we laughed as Still put Fraser into midfield but it worked. Very disappointed with Charles in the first half - was a passenger and offered nothing. Archer had moments of okayness and physicality. Thought Downs up front was a bit meh but will score lots of headers. Overall, at 2-0 down I was pretty depressed about how we were chasing shadows and the gulf looked huge. We should have had a free kick before their second and the way we fought back gave me a little bit of optimism for the season ahead once we can get a bit of stability via selling the obvious - Dibling and Fernandes - and hopefully getting someone in to get the goals or be a midfield enforcer.
-
So Fernandes is off then...
