we all love a good funeral... tonite - lagerz in fair oak. tomorrow - be a useless lump all day with hangover, cooking for ma and sis in evening sunday - go to bournemouth if weather is ok and i can be bothered... anticipated 6/10 -
ok, lets get a grip! it was a flat track, always has been. when Lara got his 10,000 runs on it iirc smithy got 190 odd, match drawn. we did darned well getting that close to a victory. and with only 4 front line bowlers. if we'd declared earlier there would have been a danger of giving them a sniff, first thing you do is make sure you don't lose, then work on winning. lets not get too despondant about it...

and now Mr Stanford has gone missing....cant help but wonder if this will have a sad end... our very own hero mr bransgrove wants Clarke to stand down. Cant help but think thats a bit harsh. you get offered a great deal of money from an exceptionally rich man would you do the background checks? and if you did exactly how much would you uncover anyway? if the police investigators have only just uncovered the fraud what makes anybody think the ECB would have done it first..? or is there a point im missing...?

craig johnston - braking wrighty's leg in 86 semi. heath - for all reason mentioned before me all the arsenal back four of the late 80's and 90's
-

-
looks like a tennis shirt whatever one of those is...

im going to the cardiff game, my first for 18 months. i expect us to win. is it awesome down there still? full house? place rocking? preston will beat us, we'll beat cardiff, but alas that will be too little too late.
-
good ol' harmy...slings 4 awful balls down, couple of no balls to lull the batsman into a false sense of security then dishes up another shocker which gets rid of the dangerous Gayle.... you can't buy quality like that...
-
two balls that kept low have taken pietersen and flintoff. im pleased we've already got 400+ !!!
-
watched that catch live, was quite impressive. have to say tho, i've seen it once or twice before - albeit failed attempts - pietersen has definately done it. his heel was in contact with the rope as he caught it, fell back threw it up then caught it again. couple of summers back against teh indians iirc...anyhoo, good bit of cricket fo sho well played england today, strauss especially. only two complaints from an otherwise impressive display. shah - wtf was he thinking? BIG pose for the cameras on the block shot, then thought oo i'll run! too late too late will be the cry when the man with the cricket ball passes you by... as mentioned above, gotta be looking at 500+...

no good with the years... teams i played for, with huge success fair oak wanderers btm sports 1990-2003 (ish)
-
just me or anybody think david villa's goal was a bit lucky? he seemed to barely have any control over the ball, kind of mr grimsdaled it in...but itv wanaked all over it... maybe im getting old
-
we'd be world beaters if the game was 15 minutes long
-
i feel so superior to st landrew sucks to be him n that
-
well they aint gonna sack the captain are they so Strauss will have to stay. cook - i believe in him, he has great natural talent and generally very good application. his form as of late hasnt been awesome but bell has been given enough chances so why not him...which brings me to bell - yep, time to go. had a very good crack at the whip. get back to scoring county runs colly - on the fence. there's decent arguements for both keeping and dropping, mayb 60-40 in favour of dropping... bring in shah. bopara. maybe even a shot at chubby Key...
-
who'd play for a team that shipped in 10+ goals a game every game for 3 years? football is about winning, not taking part.
