How exactly are they bang in form? Yes, they just won a game 4-0, but Blackpool were **** poor and gifted them goals from shocking defending. Since they beat forest 4-1, they beat the skates by a single goal whilst conceding 3, drew 0-0 with Millwall, scraped past Posh 1-0 (both poor sides). They then lost at home to Ipswich and drew with Palace before the international break. That tells me they're not all that going forward, and can be suspect at the back. I think we'll have chances, and if we carry on with our ruthless finishing at home, there's no reason why we can't keep on our winning run.

I think he's been pretty good and his partnership with Fonte will keep improving. Worth keeping

Here's a catergory for you 'Teams you've only seen away'

Man city is the only one I can think of for me -
Against forest he was all over the place when we lost possession, and we kept getting exposed at the back on both sides. Not so bad against brum or watford but we were never under as much pressure as we will be in tougher games. I rate him when we're in possession but he never busts his balls to help Richardson out when we lose it. Obviously we haven't seen much of De Ridder but he seems like one of those players who will get up and down that wing all day long. I think Guly is a bit more of a luxury player for games when we'll have loads of space and possession, and De Ridder for when we need to graft. Derby away is definitely the latter. IMO of course
-
I'd definitely keep SDR on the right, think he deserves a run of games, and is more likely to track back than Guly. That leaves the dilemma of whether to start Guly or DC up top. If he's playing 4-4-2 that is...

Too long a season to sum up our chances over 4 league games. Obviously if we lose all 4 then we'll doubt our chances to be able to take points from the better teams in the league, but I can't see us doing that. I think our fitness will be a massive plus when the fixtures start to pile up. But no, I don't think it's make or break just yet, but could be a good indication as to how strong we are
-
We could very easily drop away in October, some tough games coming up. If we're still in the top 2 in November then I really will start believing we can go all the way
-
Clive Woodward would do a better job than Harry

No ****ing way would I ever think about singing the Amarillo song back at them. Would be too embarrassing. If they are near to relegation at that point in the season, I'd love to see the return of the "going down with no money in the bank" song, reworded somehow to make sense. And maybe with another verse: "saints are going up with a billion in the bank", then back to "going down....etc..etc" Until they are throwing up onto their TK Maxx shoes

As long as Lallana keeps taking the **** out of everyone he comes up against, I think we'll see a lot of fouls against us. And with the hype and atmosphere of a derby game, it can be easy for refs to get a bit card happy. I think we'll have the skates comfortably in the end if we keep cool heads
-
Skates round my way are a lot quieter these days. Crawled back into whatever holes they came out of after they got promoted. JCL *****s. I would love it, LOVE IT, if we smashed them home and away on the way to a successful season, and helping them into more trouble. That Amarillo song still haunts me and I can't wait for revenge

Massively deserves it. Deano is our talisman

Lundekvam or Svensson or Ostenstad or Ekelund?

To be fair, it's happened at SMS before. Can't remember what game it was, (before Utd at home when non ST holders had to buy a ticket for a home league game to get a cup game ticket) and ST holders in the Northam were waving their ticket books and singing "you're only here for united". Just saying
-
Think this is all getting a bit too serious. It is football crowd banter. Either King is just an utterly sh*t footballer now (slightly unlikely seeing as he's starting for Brum), he just had an off day, or the hostility from the Northam got to him. I say well done the saints fans if there's even a chance the latter is the reason for his poor performance.

Connolly, just ahead of Lallana. Not on the scoresheet but was heavily involved in nearly everything we did well today. Praying he stays fit and in this sort of form. Very clever player.
-
We're actually 12 points clear of that shower down the road. Not bad after 7 games
-
Thought he and Fonte had a reasonable understanding. He will only improve IMO, as will their partnership.
-
8/10 today. Very solid, dealt with a lot of balls lumped up to the front 2, and played out very well. Promising partnership developing with Fonte hopefully
-
People shouldn't work on Sundays for less than £300 anyway. And seeing Saints rip those skate ****s a new arsehole is worth much more than that anyway
-
Not a chance!! I don't think we'll see a goalless game at SMS all season. Saints 4-3 Brum
