Absolutely sick of him coming out in the press and claiming things that haven’t happened. Just listened to the presser for tomorrow and he’s saying that all the stats say that we should’ve beaten Hull, and lots of the other games we’ve lost. So infuriating, I’m sure he’s trying to take the pressure off himself with that line but he’s only increasing it in my book. If you come out and gaslight the fans, tell them they’re seeing something that they’re not, you’re not going to last long at all. Hasn’t got a clue
  2. To have any hint of optimism about not getting done over on Sunday, we need a performance and a win on Wednesday. My guess is Saints 1-3 Sheff Utd. I’m close enough to SMS to wait until the lineup is announced before leaving home. If it at all resembles what we saw on Saturday and Boro away, I’ll be watching on the sofa instead of bothering to use my ticket. Tonda has to grow a pair and make some serious changes to how we approach games

A proper manager would get so much more out of this squad. Like others have said there are too many that have been here too long, and too many egos, but some quality for this level. It’s a really shit division this season and we’ve managed to be awful in it. SR have got to admit they’ve fucked up, appoint a serious manager with some actual experience and who commands respect, and fuck off the last of Martin’s backwards and sideways merchants so they don’t infect the rest, if they haven’t already

It’s getting louder. Agree that the majority are soft as shit but it’ll pick up momentum. I remember the days of forcing Rupert Lowe out, it was grim but we got there in the end. Squad and performance wise we’re not quite as bad as those days yet but lose midweek and at the weekend, which I think we will, the majority will have turned by then

Exactly this. Sadly through thinking they’re cleverer than everyone else they’ve taken an established Premier League club and dumped us in a Championship relegation battle. The fans need to remind them of this every week until they fuck off and destroy another club instead

It’s almost like a 32 year old kid, with no prior experience being a football manager, is completely out of his depth being a football manager. Who’d have thought it. It’s not really his fault that he hasn’t got a clue, he shouldn’t be in the position, but he’s completely lost it by telling fans he’s seen a different version of what’s actually happened on the pitch. And by playing Ryan Manning, I want him out tonight just for that, have been saying he’s a joke of a player since he’s been here
  7. Every time we go forward there’s no space at all as we walk it up to halfway and try to play in tight spaces. Every time Hull go forward they’ve got runners and space, because we’re stood still. Complete lack of coaching and intent here. We know we’ve got decent players but they’re completely mismanaged
  8. Welington for Manning asap and never play Manning again. Ever. Been saying it for 3 seasons, he’s a fucking shocking footballer and thick as mince
  9. Sums up SR’s tenure. Completely ineffective
  10. It might have to take a relegation to get rid of these cunty owners. Worth the risk of longer lasting damage?
  11. Cunt should be sacked for persisting with Manning. Manning should be sacked for being as bad as he is. Fuck me
  12. Attacking throw in - back to the keeper in 4 passes. Fucking hate this
  13. Fucking criminal playing Tom Fellows as a right back. Get rid of these cunts asap. Manager, owners none of them fit for purpose
  14. 🎶 backwards and sideways, everywhere we go 🎶
  15. He’s full of shit. Says he’s not concerned because we’ve been creating plenty. And that defending is more important than attacking. Can’t wait for more Manning and Stephens in a 5 tomorrow to show us what he means
  16. Championship promotion winner* *because he got injured and we brought Macca back in for the rest of the season. 32 premier league games* *because our manager was a moron
  17. Stoke fans have got us worked out: As Southampton's modus operandi seemed to be to pass it about a lot at the back and then give it to the opposition striker somewhere around the penalty spot there may be mitigating reasons for those poor stats?
  18. They mentioned it on TSP and it’s how I’ve felt about this game - feels just like the Preston game. A decent but unspectacular side are coming to SMS with some belief, a team that on paper we should be dealing with but we just don’t do that these days. It’s going to have to go fairly well from the start or this ever increasing noise of discontent is going to take off again and it’ll be a vile atmosphere, and likely defeat. Can easily see us picking up just 1 point before the Pompey game and we know how that’ll go. Spors massively jumped the gun coming out and telling everyone how clever he was after Tonda’s temporary uptick in form, he’s back in his box now and I hope he’s working round the clock to sort this mess out that SR have caused.

This has been done to death, but with the squad and budget we had that season, playoffs was the minimum requirement. The undefeated run brought us no closer to the sides we were chasing down as there were about 9 really poor 1-1 draws that papered over the cracks. Clearly I’d take that sort of form now, but it just shows how far we’ve continued to fall under SR
  20. Absolute madness that we persisted for so long. It’s been clear since 3 years ago that he just doesn’t have the basic goalkeeping instincts to get his hands in the way of shots, put any confidence in the defenders in front of him, command his box, or any of the other stuff a goalkeeper is supposed to do. Somehow he’s racked up nearly 100 caps because he can pass the ball with his feet and is a ‘decent lad’. Fuck SR and their spreadsheets
  21. Glad I’m missing this one, reckon we’ll struggle and it’ll turn toxic
  22. If this opens up a spot to employ a proper CB, then absolutely fine with this. Has to be one of the top remaining priorities. But fully expecting him to be replaced with a shit Bundesliga 2 “one for the future”
  23. Haven’t listened but I don’t suppose Adam suggested that his system is boring and predictable, and clearly not working? I’m done with the Tonda experiment already but if he doesn’t make drastic changes to how we’re trying to set up against Donny, I’d suggest that a lot who are on the fence will be turned
  24. I can’t see that side completing 900+ passes between the back 5 and midfielders so it’s a no from me
