6 points please. Reading really are poor, anything less than a win will be a disaster, which is why I'm dreading it. Expecting a really nervous atmosphere that will get worse the longer we're not winning.
Sunderland is a strange one. I was at Carrow road on Sunday, and Sunderland were absolutely woeful in the first half. They didn't travel well, fans were quiet, and they couldn't string 3 passes together. But then the same could be said of Norwich in the second half, and Sunderland were unlucky not to get something from the game in the end.
Both there for the taking really IMO
2 weeks off work, mainly on the p*ss, family, friends, good food
Versus
Sh*t weather, having to go shopping, extra traffic, and Xmas songs.
It's more than tolerable IMO, I'm looking forward to it. Some really good parties planned this year.
December is massive.
Liverpool (a)
Reading (h)
Sunderland (h)
Fulham (a)
Stoke (a)
Some tricky ones there, but we've really got to be looking at getting at least 8 points from that lot IMO.
There's no reason we can't win this, but it'll be tougher than yesterday. Norwich much better organised, and we won't have the time and space that Newcastle allowed us. Their closing down and pressing was hopeless.
Hopefully everyone's recovery is fine and we can get the same XI out there for the 4th match running.
Saints 2-1 Norwich
Cork for me, for the 3rd game running. He's been ridiculously good and really makes us tick in midfield. It's no coincidence that we've hit some form with him back in the side.
It's a pain in the arse. I don't want to miss it, but the lack of public transport is a real problem, as is trying to talk someone into driving while the rest of us get on the beer.
Apparently we've got 9 points already. I didn't read past that. If they can't get the simple stats right, then it's probably not worth reading.
Plus, as mentioned, there's no real point in comparing 2 very different types of midfielder.
If we get 4 points from the next 2 games I'll be very impressed. Can't see us getting anything at Anfield, they seem to be getting themselves sorted somewhat.
