  1. We've booked Ibiza for the closing parties in September. Flights are £150 from Bournemouth and the hotel we stay at will be about £90 each. Basic but it has air con and does the job. Problem with Ibiza is the price of getting into the clubs. We go there for the music, and you'll usually pay €30-50 to get in anywhere that's worth going to on any particular night. It's expensive, but comfortably worth it. Much rather shell out the extra few hunderd quid and go to Ibiza than go somewhere sh*t like Kavos, Malia, Faliraki or Magaluf where you're surrounded by wasted 18 year olds, the smell of sewage, and chart-dance pop music clubs. We've found that festivals abroad are really good value for money when getting away for a good time. A week at Exit festival in Serbia cost me £500 door to door, including flights via Munich, and we went to Pag in Croatia which is cheap as chips and a real up and coming lads holiday destination.
  2. Ouch. The last time I went was 2010, and I spent about £1200 on the week. And that was with flights and accom for only £250 and trying to do most of the drinking on the cheap where possible. Good luck with that!
  3. Ibiza is less likely to be affordable to school leavers/teenagers. Which means there are far fewer cases of people passed out in the street caked in their own vomit and pigeon kebabs. Also, Ibiza smells less like a toilet.
  4. Run like f*ck
  5. Sounds obvious, but careful with possessions on the overnight/long journeys when you sleep. When we went to Serbia, some friends of ours got the train down from Budapest and had a couple of bags pinched. Been to Prague - avoid the tourist areas when going on the p*ss. The price difference is huge. You'll pay about £7 for a beer in the main squares, and as little as £1.80-£2 in the less obvious places. We had a top weekend in Prague for a stag do, it's only a small place so you can see all the sights in a day, and Hot Peppers is the best strip club I've been to. Croatia is Beautiful, never been to Zagreb, but if you get the chance to travel around the country for a bit, head to the coast. The island of Pag is great for partying, and Split is a city worth visiting.
  6. A few of the not so obvious ones. Burnley - 2-3 Beautiful sunshine and sat on that cricket pavilion getting rat-arsed on cheap beer. Skacel scored a screamer. Norwich - 0-1 Was a must win to hold onto the chance of getting in the playoffs. Again, beautiful sunny day, great atmosphere at the Compleat Angler an in the ground. Leon Best in the first half IIRC QPR - 0-3 Big **** up, brace from BWP. Leyton Orient 2-2 Pub crawled our way across London, found ourselves 2-0 down despite Orient only getting in our half twice and having 1 shot on target. Brilliant comeback. Sheffield Wed 0-1 Lee Barnard with a decent finish. Just remember saints fan being awesome that day, and a good win after the slow start to the season. Reading 1-1 Despite Reading being a sh*t away game, we had a really good **** up, and a mental goal celebration when De Ridder banged in the equaliser. Millwall 2-3 Doesn't need explaining. Plus we had £25 on a Lambert hat trick at 25/1

    Leon Best

    No thanks. Bullsh*t anyway.
  8. Don't be so ridiculous
  9. I thought Carroll was sh*t. Yes, he won a few headers, as he should at his height. However, I don't remember a single one finding a team mate. Plus he should be automatically omitted from the squad for having such a sh*t, greasy hair do.
  10. I'm just glad that the next fixture I give a sh*t about is Manchester City vs Southampton. Lovely.
  11. **** England. Pile of useless bottling ****s
  12. I'd really struggle for ideas to do a weekly shop without meat. Went yesterday, bought chicken, mince, beef steaks, and some fish. Just about every meal we have contains meat of some sort. My girlfriend recently said about buying quorn, safe to say that was ignored.
  13. England will make hard work of this, but get through. France will win comfortably. England will play Spain in the quarters. IMO.
  14. Slim. Your best bet would be to tap up a STH on here. As usual, it's looking expensive to get up there. Friday - Sunday from Southampton is a £92 flight, £74 train or £100+ on fuel.
  15. Can't wait for this. Got a good group of friends in Manchester so will be going up on friday and home Sunday night. If they move it to the monday i'll be fuming. Manchester is a top city, great for partying.
  16. You'd bet your house on it. I think there should be an 'idiots guide to SWF' to help these people through.
  17. A better bet would've been Forecast making a first team appearance for Saints - similar odds I'd imagine
  18. Really good to see these vidoes. August and September really were incredible. Couple of things I really noticed from these was how much our starting XI changed through the season, and how we changed tactically. The way we kept and moved the ball in those first couple of months was unbelievable. Cork's through ball for Guly's goal vs Millwall was sublime, as were a few of Guly's performances early on. Real shame he never kept that up after about the end of October, we could well have had a better shot at the title if he'd kept up with that level of performance and strike rate
  19. What an inconsiderate way to kill yourself. Same as jumping onto a motorway - just f*cks up everyone else's day.
  20. Stadium expanded IMO. Or the seats changed for padded ones. Or Nigel caught banging Cortese's mrs.
  21. Early prediction - the information from this journo on twitter will be far from accurate.
  22. Amazeballs... Saying that out loud warrants a slap IMO. Sounds like something a 14 year old girl would say.
  23. 1. Manchester City 2. Manchester United 3. Chelsea 4. Arsenal 5. Liverpool 6. Tottenham 7. Newcastle 8. Everton 9. Fulham 10. Sunderland 11. Stoke 12. Southampton 13. Swansea 14. West Ham 15. Aston Villa 16. Wigan 17. West Brom 18. Reading 19. Norwich 20. QPR Be lucky to get 4 out of 20 right, but that's roughly what I think will happen.
