He had a good game against City, we all know he's capable of a good game. Consistency is his problem, he goes missing regularly. Time will tell but I think he'll be on the bench a lot once we get these signings sorted.

Very poor. Lots of new faces around us in the Northam and not much effort being made. Lots of 'premier league fans'. I think expectation has got too high, people turning up yesterday expecting an easy win. I'm sure it'll improve for the bigger games but it's p*ss poor if we carry on like that. Wigan only got going after they scored.

Not an enjoyable return to the premiership. Loads of empty seats, hopelessly quiet in the Northam, so much for getting behind the lads. It's what I knew would happen though, too much expectation and people turning up demanding a win. Was going to be a shocker from the off, a grown man in replica shirt trying to wrestle a giant flag through the turnstiles. Poor display too. Although we never really looked like conceding until we did, we didn't have much of a threat going forward. Careless in possession, slowing the ball down too much, sh*tloads of hoofball which was doing my head in. Officials were useless but can't be blamed for the defeat.

He's got time on his side. They'll get more nervous the longer it goes without a second bid coming in from elsewhere, which I don't think will happen given how complicated a deal it is, and is well documented to be. We'll sign him IMO, just not as quickly as everyone would like.

My guess - throwing everyone into a frenzy on here with "It's a done deal" claims from clearly ill advised 'sources'.

I sort of meant it in a different way. These are the crazy prices being thrown around on big name players. £12m for Ramirez looks a much better deal than all of the above.
