The Moment you knew the Northam wasn't for you anymore
Jack replied to JackanorySFC's topic in The Saints
Few of us are considering a switch to Block 1. The group of about 8 of us have seats spread over 3 places in the Notham, so it might pay us to all move across to get a block of seats. I like to stand at football, and make noise, so the Northam has been the only place to be over the last few years. -
The what are you wearing to the Coventry game thread

I'll also be wearing a foam hand, a red & White jester hat, wig, and facepaint, just to blend in. I'm not aware of any pubs other than wetherspoons opening at 9am, so our options are limited. -

The weather doesn't look all that bad on the Met Office app. I'm thinking I'll probably wear: Black Ralph trainers (same sort of style as Vans, stylish and comfortable) Hugo Boss jeans (dark blue) Diesel polo shirt (all buttons done up) Ted Baker jacket (had it a while, but it's smart as f*ck) I imagine I'll be in the Giddy Bridge from 9 if you want photographs taken with me. -
I think some have lost all perspective. We just came up from league 1. This is a TOUGH league. You're not going to keep on winning every week, even if already established at this level, or coming down from the prem with quality players and huge wagebills. We've done unbelievably well to go on 2 massive winning/unbeaten runs, and only have 1 run of poor results and this little blip. We're about to secure back to back promotions, but some people will always find negatives and reasons to moan. Not a very bright Professor.

Guly has frustrated since about December, but I'd like to see him played on Saturday, ahead of Frazer on the right. It's tried and tested and it has worked wonders at times, giving Frazer the chance to overlap and cross. I think we'd get plenty of joy from running at their inexperienced defence and getting crosses in. -----------Davis Frazer Fonte Hooiveld Fox Guly Cork Morgan Lallana ----Lambert--Sharp Should be far too much for them to contain going forward.

4-0 Lambert (3), Cork.

No, I agree. I didn't word that well. The last 2 seasons have been immense. Compared to other clubs at the levels we've been at, we've paid a LOT for the privilege. I don't mind that. However, the 8-10k new/returning season ticket holders who disappeared in 2005, should be paying a lot more than those who stuck it out through the relegations and seasons at a lower level. I have no doubt that we'll average 31k+ again IF we get promoted.

Dear Mr Cortese. Please freeze the price on season tickets renewals for those long suffering fans who have stuck with the fans through thick and thin, and tax the **** out of those who just want to come to SMS to see Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool if you feel that ticket prices require increasing. Yours sincerely, Jack

Southampton 3-1 Leeds Southampton 4-1 Birmingham Southampton 3-0 Middlesbrough Southampton 3-0 Brighton Southampton 4-0 Watford Southampton 4-0 Derby Southampton 2-0 Donny Southampton 2-0 Barnsley That's just a few comfortable results off the top of my head. We'll be fine. 4-0 Lambert (3), Cork.

Lambert for a hat trick is only 6/1 on skybet. I got 25s at Millwall!

Just like last Friday, I don't think I'll get much sleep this Friday. I may try drinking on Friday to send me to sleep, couldn't do it last week due to the 4am alarm and the drive from Fareham to Newcastle. I'm really busy at work which helps, working 13 hour nights so it's sleep/work/sleep/work till I get home Friday morning. Then the fun starts.

West Ham fan's take on our bottle for this "Re: West Ham Utd v Hull City: match thread by DaveWHU1964 on Tue Apr 24, 2012 11:38 am I've got to say that looking at the Southampton forum 'SaintsWeb' is hilarious. One guy in particular (Alpine Saint) is in a whole different league of bed wetters. I just wish we could clone him 30,000 times and buy them all tickets for the Coventry game. It would be impossible for their team to operate. Anyone know any good genetic engineers?" Made me smile.

Yea we're officially in drought but this has been the coldest and wettest April I can remember. At least we can wash our cars in puddles and overflowing rivers as the hosepipe is out of the question.

Lambert hattrick. 30 league goals for the season, with the 3rd being a 25 yard bullet free kick in off the post. Picks up his 2nd yellow for jumping into the Northam to celebrate.
-
It's been said a lot, but warrants repeating. To get promoted tonight, as great as it would've been for the club and some people's health, nothing can get better than sealing promotion, on the last day of the season, at home, with another sell-out crowd. I can't fecking wait. We'll be fine. Saturday was disappointing, but I don't think we bottled it. Just had a bit of an off day and were on the wrong end of some w@nk refereeing. I just hope everyone gets a grip and pulls it together, gets right behind the team, and has a good day out. The Saints are going up.
-
Rickie Lambert wants 30 league goals. He already bagged us £625 this season for his hat-trick vs Millwall @25/1. I shall be lumping a little bit of that on him to do it again on Saturday. Should get 20/1 minimum.

This.

Never liked Leicester. ****ing useless. You want a job done properly, you've got to do it yourself. But not in the Northeast. 4 mins added. Come on.
-
No it does not turn me on you pleb. It would just be nice for Sky not to portray our fanbase as a bunch of fancy dress happy clapper c*nts. They could achieve that by focusing a couple of crowd shots on people dressed normally, instead of zooming in on Osama Bin Laden, superman, clowns, and people in Hula shirts every time FFS.
-
Obviously it's a wind up. He's been trolling all week, and isn't very good at it.
-
Maybe expensive was a poor choice of word. I agree that jeans should be dark blue, without patchy fading or holes in them. I've got a couple of pairs of Boss Orange jeans that I'd consider expensive, paid slightly over £100 for each pair. I don't mind paying a lot for jeans, you get a lot of use out of them. I like Boss jeans, they fit really well and are good quality, they hardly fade.
-
I think that fancy dress is sh*t and childish at football. I also think wearing a replica shirt over a hoodie is sh*t. Just my opinion. I hate the fact that the TV cameras chose to zoom in on the people who dress up like idiots. Why not zoom in on some lads in decent clobber, to even it up a bit?

Fancy dress theme: Smart trainers Expensive Jeans Designer Polo shirt Expensive, smart, designer jacket (if required - weather dependant) Easier than clown suits as all of the above will not require a trip to your local fancy dress shop.

Lambert by a mile. We wouldv'e struggled to make the playoffs without him.
