  1. Stronger side than I was expecting. Could beat a below par Chelsea.
  2. He's in Italy with Cortese, part of the negotiating team for Davide Astori
  3. This. I lost nearly 3 stone between April and December, mainly due to a change in my diet. I stopped working away during the week which meant I could plan meals better (and I stopped being in the pub most nights after work), and it happened so quickly with a bit of gym time to get the muscles burning calories more quickly. Breakfast - instead of toast or cereal, have porridge. Lunch - instead of sandwiches, tuna or chicken salad (tuna is much cheaper to make so I usually have that) - apple and a banana during the day too Dinner - most of our meals used to contain pasta, rice or potatoes. Cut it out. Chicken/fish and veg is quick, easy and healthy. Buying all that fresh food is a bit more expensive, but it works so well. Now just under 14 stone, I'm aiming to get to 13 but that might be a bit of a push. Regular 5 mile or 10k runs, a few push ups, sit ups and chin ups a few times a week is plenty to keep the weight loss steady, and I now don't have to be anywhere near as strict with the diet. It's now all about getting properly fit rather than less fat. Can do 10k in just over 50 mins but want to be running further and faster. Best bit of advice I had, if you naturally put on weight quite quickly as I do: to lose the weight and keep it off, you've got to make a lifestyle change, there are no miracle fixes or shortcuts. It's a simple equation - burn more calories than you take in, you WILL lose weight. Also, work hard at first to build some lean muscle, that'll help to strip that fat off and burn calories more quickly.
  4. I'm sure I read that he's still on 90k pw, but Brighton are only paying a bit of that while he's on loan from Citeh. Not really the sort of deal we go after. And you say prem experience delldays - the only experience he's had in the last 4 years was sitting on the bench and picking up his ridiculous wages. That said, he does look decent enough today.
  5. All depends on how meaningful the goal is. Anything between some loud shouting, fistpumping etc, and going absolutely mental and ending up four rows infront of where I started, on my face at someone's feet, holding onto whoever I could grab hold of. They're my favourite ones.
  6. Was sure it was more. I remember the grim drive to that grim place, their keeper played a blinder and we just couldn't get the ball in the net.
  7. I'm sure when we played there last (on the Tuesday) the attendance was something like 4.5k and we were responsible for about 2k of that. Just putting things into perspective for the followers of that massive club down the road.
  8. Then believe me when I say Chelsea have been sh*t. Loads of stupidly ambitious shots, most of them blocked or row Z. Yes they've had possession, but done f*ck all with it.
  9. I assume you haven't been watching.
  10. F*cking useless c*nts
  11. Plenty of time for Newcastle to equalise. Not so much time for Chelsea to sort it out. They've been sh*t.
  12. 22 passes with lovely skill, finishing with an overhead kick from 45 yards.
  13. Absolute screamer from Baines. 30 yard FK. Lovely.
  14. Liverpool 2 up. Awful game between Chelsea and QPR, neither can keep the ball. Torres shocking. Think I'll switch to a different game. I've got Chelsea and Liverpool to win, and a draw in the other game.
  15. Chelsea should be down to 10. Horrible challenge from Marin.
  16. Cork, very closely followed by Morgan, Lambert and Fonte. Very impressed by how those 4 have stepped up, they look Premier League quality all the way.
  17. They let me down for just over £300, the absolute thunderc*nts.
  18. Jack

    Artur Boruc

I still think we need to sign a proper keeper this month. Boruc's kicking is woeful, he can't catch, looks unfit, and has got a really strange attitude for a professional sportsman.
  19. This.
  20. Feck me, is that what we're charging these days?!
  21. Most of my mates are coupled up and doing their own thing this year, so I was pleased when a mate who's just back from Dubai for a couple of weeks said he's up for doing something decent this year rather than a local pub or a house party with all the same old faces. At 25 and single, I want something more fun than that. We're after good music, plenty of drinking, and hopefully plenty of single women. Train to London tomorrow lunchtime, few beers around town, pre-party at my mate's brother's place in Bethnal Green, then off to Cafe 1001 on Brick Lane which doesn't stop till Tuesday lunchtime. I hope to get lucky and leave well before that, if not then I'll just see how long I last before getting the train back, hopefully in time to get to SMS.
  22. Not that at all. Sh*t atmospheres, plastic fans, £50 a ticket, the ridiculous wages and transfer fees being chucked about, even by sh*t teams. It's not what it was a decade ago.
  23. Forest away - was the first away win of the season for me after about 7 attempts. Millwall away x2. Both brilliant days out, but the league game was on a different level because of the result, and us winning £650 between 5 of us thanks to Rickie's hat trick. Promotion day, from what I can remember of it. The feeling of being back in the prem.... ...which quickly evaporated with the feeling that it's not what it used to be.
  24. Strange post. I was pointing out to Phil that Guly is rubbish in the air in my opinion. I agree that I'd like to see it on the deck more, but saying that Rickie isn't an intelligent footballer is absolute b*llocks.
  25. Guly really isn't good in the air. He scored a couple of decent headers, but when it comes to challenging for a high ball, he's a bottler. He sort of jumps, but never puts his head in where he might get hurt. He won't be in the XI IMO.
