I'm just trying to cope with the thought of nuns with spurs. ? Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

That's annoying. Would be typical of them to scrape a draw tonight then lose on Saturday, meaning we have to qualify. They will be desperate not to have to play qualifying rounds as that would conflict with lucrative pre-season tours. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Don't really mind either, but Sheffield is closer and has some great pubs. Mixed feelings about Brighton. Another few south coast Premier derbies would gave been fun and emphasised the pitiful state of the fishy lot, and it would be a new ground for me. but I find their fans a strange bunch and a touch arrogant. They were robbed last night. Once they were one up I thought they'd do it but a fluke goal, aided by a push missed by the officials, destroyed their momentum. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Fair enough. Truce. Just want Brighton to win. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

I'm a fairly big man and I don't tend to fly anywhere unless I'm shoved very hard. And why can't you tell on TV? Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Got to feel for Brighton. Concede a goal after an obvious push. Very poor by the ref, and another big case for video referrals. Would have taken 10 seconds to get the right outcome. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Not for Saints. Liverpool winning won't lose anyone an EL place because Liverpool are out of the EL places. If they lose, no Europe at all, which may or may not be bad for them. However, for Liverpool to get into CL through the back door would massively p!ss off ManU, and probably Chelsea, so it depends who you hate most. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

It's been brilliant. I made a jokey post a few days back painting the perfect, but ridiculously unlikely scenario. If Brighton can turn over a two goal deficit tonight, Bournemouth win tomorrow and Palace in the Cup, it's all happened. ? Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

On the basis of the lat few games, Steve Davis will be hard to replace. He may be light on goals and doesn't appear to do the spectacular, but the team doesn't function without him. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 4-1 Crystal Palace
Shroppie replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Trouble is the game is meaningless for Bournemouth too and they should literally be on the beach - they have had to postpone holidays. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk -

What he actually said was he signed rolling one year contracts in Holland, but he's in a very different situation now. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Just because it's coming from somewhere doesn't mean it's not made up. It's made up by the someone /somewhere who's planting it. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

No way it will be that easy. Palace will play a pretty-well full team to keep them sharp. It's a full week of recovery so no need to rest anyone. And they will all be playing for Cup Final places. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Agreed there's still a pull to the massive clubs but, after this season, it's not so sure that you'll win things. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Have you listened to anything he has said? He'll honour his contract. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Our biggest "signings" can still be Wanyama and Mané. I don't think we'll keep them because I fear they are more driven by purely financial considerations rather than developing a career and being a significant part of a winning team. It will be a major achievement if we can convince either or both that they will do better in the long term by staying, get them to want to win something for Saints and offer a deal that will attract without being stupid money. Agreed. He has never been given the chance to establish himself at OT. No run in the starting eleven, different partners, no coherence in the team formation and Van Gaal clearly simply doesn't like/rate him. Think he'll move and reestablish himself at Arsenal or Spurs after a wasted year. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

I never bet on transfers or manager appointments simply because the markets can be manipulated so easily with rumours in the popular press. Generate a rumour, reduce the odds to make it look credible, rake in the bets and then laugh all the way to the bank when the rumour is seen to have no legs. If the bookies do have information that is genuine, the odds will crash to nothing very quickly or the market will be closed. They want bets on unlikely outcomes, not probable ones. But it is the volume of bets placed that will determine the odds. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

How else do you think odds are decided? Sky in particular are very good at starting a rumour to generate interest and bets. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

On the basis of bets placed on the back of pretty groundless speculation. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
