And again. Chelsea goal ruled out for a push, but Chelsea player was first pushed by Fred. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I accept that you posted in good faith, but sometimes it's good to question sources. Unfortunately there are plenty around who spread rumours (especially those of doom and gloom) as a wind-up. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

And just what fount of knowledge told you that? Surprised that if they are medium to long term injuries that five of them were running around well enough at 90 mins yesterday. I suspect your five first words are the most accurate part of your post. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Djenepo isn't injured. Armstrong isn't injured. They're both creative in different ways. It's been suggested Redmond is out for a month or two, but nothing on Boufal. Our home record is poor, but what about Villa's away record? And if they're 9 points behind us, winning a couple more than us won't be enough. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

It was a joke. Get over it. To answer your question, I'd say results have dipped, rather than performance, largely because of changes, forced or otherwise, to a settled team. If results=form, yes, our good run has ended, I hope only temporarily. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I think your current trolling form is disappointing. I can see relegation to the Lounge/Muppet Show. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

That doesn't even make sense. Where did I say anything about a free transfer? Don't know which terrible player you're talking about, either. Can't be Long as, although he has his limitations he has positive attributes too, and he certainly isn't terrible. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

If £3m is the going rate for Shane Long, what makes you think you can get someone much better for the same? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I rarely feel the need to have a real rant, but this needs a response. Firstly, I'm getting sick of all those with opposing views being insulted with terms such as "dinlos". Forum guidelines clearly say "keep it civil". Why does this not apply to some posters? I'm all for debate, but why do some have to resort constantly to aggression, intimidation and insults? Probably to boost their own image on here. Please, mods, do your job. Second, it's not "us dinlos" saying we have to shift players off the payroll before we can buy. It's a well-documented club position. Third, you've no idea what Shane Long would be paid in a contract extension. I'll agree there are better players out there but would they come? Can we afford transfer fee/wages? We certainly can't afford the finished product and other options are a gamble. Plenty thought Che would step up, but he's miles behind Shane, in my opinion. And finally, I wish we could drop the sound-bite mantra that all Shane does is run around. If you really believe that, rather than spouting it to provoke a reaction, it reflects sadly on your ability to read a game and appreciate a player's contribution. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

You obviously didn't see the game in the same way that I did. We'll agree to differ. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Don't know what Redmond has done but someone posted that he'll be out a month or two, do nothing minor. Hope Boufal isn't bad. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

We recently beat Leicester, Palace and Spurs playing good football. I simply don't agree with your comments about intensity and commitment. Don't think there was anyone in the team who didn't give everything. And your assessment of Armstrong and JWP is simply bizarre. And yes, I do always look for the positives. I can't see any point in constantly running down individual players and the team as a whole. But if you read my posts regularly, you'll see I don't avoid criticism if I think it's warranted - playing Vestergaard today being an example. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Give it a rest. There was no lack of effort. Just very hard to play controlled football in those conditions. Was always going to come down to a couple of moments. Both teams scored a great goal. They got a freak goal, albeit though a lapse in defending. We hit the bar and other chances didn't fall for us. The ref was awful. We're not a bad team. Move on. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Fair enough, if you were there. But makes your interpretation even more wrong. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Yep. Agree with this. I don't agree Vestergaard is good on the ball. He's just bad at jumping, heading, tracking, tackling, blocking and reading the game Ralph needs another wake-up moment so that never happens again. Cost us at least a point. And with Redmond out for a month or two, and maybe Boufal, goals will be harder to come by, do we need to make sure the defence is doing its job - defending. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I don't normally post instant reactions, but here goes. I understand why Vestergaard started, but it was wrong. I don't believe his height makes him a better counter to high balls than Bednarek, who is better in every aspect of defending. Hope the lesson has been learned. Would say Vestergaard was a major culprit for the second goal. KWP had to be given a chance and was mainly decent. But shouldn't he have been covering the near post for the goal from the corner? Edit: now seen the replay and Ings certainly got it wrong. JWP is better, but we need him in midfield too. And, btw, thought he had an excellent game. Losing first Redmond, then Boufal (who was having one of his best games) was critical. Face it, playing creative football in those conditions is a nightmare, and defending balls pumped up into the wind a battle. Why the f*** do we always play Burnley in a rain-sodden gale? I'm convinced that on a dry, warm, calm day we would tear them apart. We had good performances today. Armstrong was always looking for the killer pass and was so close several times. Ings was great. Not Long's best game and maybe Obafemi earlier would have been good. Djenepo didn't have Boufal's urgency or commitment. Stephens good on very difficult conditions. Hojbjerg and Bertrand ok. Ref was poor. There were plenty of fouls that got nothing and cards weren't given. I thought the VAR pen was nailed-on. But the real winner was the weather. For next week we need it dry and calm, Ralph to forget the Vestergaard experiment, Redmond and/or Boufal to recover and KWP to have learned from today Bad day, but mainly the weather won. Conditions like today are a real leveller. We are way better than Burnley. If we get another day like today, we need to do a Man City and identify a crowd safety issue and get the game postponed to a decent day. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Please stop spouting your b0llocks. Yes, there were mistakes today but we were trying to play football in near impossible conditions. I assume you weren't there. And with Redmond, and then Boufal injured, we were short of creative players. Not that creativity counted fir anything today. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

But we're a bloody good 1%. [emoji6] Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

You might be surprised how many "outliers" there are. Northern Saints has 200 members. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Near Coventry. Got to go to Southampton anyway as my return Advance ticket is a different route. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Not all Saints fans live in Hampshire. I had the pleasure of getting up at 4:45 for this one. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Unless there's a real danger to fans at the ground, they won't postpone. They won't be interested in fans' problems getting to and from the game, the potential dangers for players or the near impossibility of playing sensible football in torrential rain and 50mph winds. They will worry about the gap in the TV schedule if it doesn't go ahead. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Usually tickets are valid for the rearranged game or you can get a refund. But we're not Man City, so it won't be called off. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

That's the plan as I've got Advance non-refundable tickets, different routes down and back. No point in wasting them. Anyway, been there, done that. Was the same for the postponed Leicester Cup game so I still went for a night away. The way we were playing then meant I git all the good bits of a footie trip - beer, curry - without the pain. They'll postpone it once I've got up at 5:00am, caught a 5:45 train and got three quarters of the way to Southampton. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
