  1. Ok. How much would it cost? How much have we got? Which of the 5 (or 6 with Ramsey) CBs will we be able to offload to enable this? I live in the real world. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  2. An upgrade on Stephens and Bednarek who could step straight in as first choice is way beyond our budget. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  3. Redmond was, IMO, our most effective attacking player yesterday. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  4. He didn't decide to leave Rual alone. You make it sound as if he decided it would be a good idea to avoid defending. He defended an area where the cross could have come in, bit it was hit very accurately to feet and Cedric couldn't quite get the block in. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  5. Our recent away form, I guess. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  6. Don't think we've got one and it's only a couple of days away. Big need to show character and a performance. Won't be an easy game. Wonder if Ralph will be tempted to ring a few changes, especially if players don't recover quickly. Got a feeling Romeu may get a start and not sure Ings will start, although we need him! 7. A reasoned opinion: thank you. I'm generally in agreement. Certainly Wolves surprised us with their resilience in the second half. They are a very good, strong team. Ralph's plan is to defend from the front with energy, replacing Ings and Long as they tire, but in hindsight we perhaps could have been more cautious. They found a way to break our high defence line and showed more energy than we expected in the second half. But it should be a wake up call. Realise that any falling off from total commitment will be punished and there's never room for complacency. We've had a great run and I'm glad points are on the board as we've got two very losable games up next. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  8. Having seen the goals I would say Cedric was no more to blame than anyone else in defence for any of the goals. For the first, it was Bednarek diving in on the challenge before the cross that was the main problem. Then yes, Stephens and Cedric between them didn't block the shot. On the penalty, Cedric actually gets his body in front. If Stephens hadn't slid in, it's not such a clear foul. And Cedric was the closest to getting in a block for the last goal. Accepted he wasn't tight on Jiminez, but his position wasn't bad. Overall, I think Stephens struggled more. Once their formation changed, we should have beefed up our DM. But at the end of the day, although I'm as annoyed and frustrated as anyone at losing a two goal lead, we played well for a good part of the game, could have been 3-0 up, then 3-2 when Redmond hit the bar and 3-3 with the Stephens header. There was some complacency at 2-0 and that needs addressing. The same happened at Villa but we were 3-0 there and held on. Collectively we were not committed enough in defence in the second half but credit to Wolves. They are a strong, physical and very dangerous team who didn't fade and tire as maybe we hoped. 9. There are times, like when they scored their first today, when we need Romeu to put a bit of solidity into midfield. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  10. Needed to get Romeu on to shore up the midfield and do a job on Traore. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  11. How do you work that out? Bednarek and Long score: should have been enough. Agreed the defence was sloppy today. Just needs to be a wake up call. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  12. I was actually at the game and won't have the option of rewatching goals until tomorrow, since I won't be home until midnight. No point in arguing anyway since you've made up your mind. Overall Cedric played well. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  13. A bizarre, ridiculous and utterly wrong analysis. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  14. I'd agree with Ralph's assessment that the pen should have been reviewed by the ref and the third goall probably came after handball by Traore Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  15. Not that rare. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  16. That's largely rubbish. Neither Stephens nor Hojbjerg had bad games. It would be good to get something at Palace but not critical. But I am annoyed that some slack defending cost us. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  17. Fair enough Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  18. And that may have contributed to the VAR ref taking so many decisions. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  19. Although Redmond hit the bar. That would have been 3-0 a d a different story. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  20. Think it was his first PL game. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  21. Other way round. Only checked handball. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  22. Their first and third goals were bizarre. It was as it we almost stopped, thinking VAR would save us. There were possible offsides and handballs but we've had the rub of the VAR green so far. Thought the pen was marginal. Not a "clear and obvious" error fir the ref not giving it. Can't see that being overturned against the "big" teams . Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  23. Played with relish but was peppered with tackles. Now he's in a pickle. [emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  24. Vinagre has done his hamstring. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  25. This is getting a little silly. No-one talked about not trying. Give it proper attention and take it seriously - after the next two important league games. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
