Agree about Gunn, Adams and Romeu and would add Obafemi, although he's getting the odd start anyway. I get the feeling Valery will still be out for a while. I'm also guessing Boufal will be bench at best, following kitchen table toegate flaring up again. If he's on the bench, hope he doesn't kick it. [emoji1787][emoji849] Not sure Vokins is ready, so agree it'll have to be business as usual for Cedric/Bertrand. Doubt we'll see Vestergaard again. Got a feeling Smallbone rather than Slattery will get game time, maybe even starting. So that gives us Gunn Cedric Yoshida Danso Bertrand Romeu Smallbone Redmond Djenepo Adams Obafemi Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I could see the tactics. Don't come out to allow space behind. Try to frustrate. Hope fir something on the break. Rather like we played them in the FLC semi second leg. But after the early goal, there was no plan B. Also, Liverpool are very good at finding passes through packed defences. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Good point. But surely you better than to bring reality into this Fantasy Football Manager thread? [emoji1787][emoji6] Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

From Jan 1st it's 10 yellows. He's not suspended. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

If so, Danso at CB. What about Ramsey? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Real guesswork here. Gunn Cedric Yoshida Vestergaard Danso JWP Romeu Redmond Boufal/Djenepo Adams Obafemi McCarthy, Smallbone, Bednarek, Bertrand, Long, Hojbjerg, unexpected Academy player. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

No Boufal, even on the bench. Team looks decent on paper, though. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk -
I would say a non-starter. Has he played since he did his ACL? Nearly 29. Not our sort of buy. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

The club are clear he's going nowhere. Correct decision. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Really think Wanyama ticks no boxes at all. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I've had a moan to the club. No real explanation for the small allocation. Not getting any more. Not expecting returns of complimentaries. I'm still looking. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I'll be surprised if he goes out, even on loan. He hasn't clicked yet, but it's too early to give up on him. I think he'll still be a success once he gets going. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

VAR is needed. It's just that the form of VAR that the Premier League is trying to use is a mess and ignores the experience of other sports that introduced it years ago and have worked to get it right. What we have is no cooperation between on-field ref and VAR ref. Just another subjective opinion. Some decisions examined with a slide rule, others ignored for no apparent reason, except the club involved. No system for captains or managers to have a challenge. And, unless I'm mistaken, no provision for a ref to request a review. They just wait to get told a VAR check is happening. It's typical of the Premier League that they think they're better than everyone else at everything. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Pretty meaningless. Probably generated by agents. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Never easy in January. Prices overinflated, clubs doing well reluctant to sell, clubs doing badly desperate to hang on to decent players. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Sounds hopeful. Would think LB as cover. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I've said it many times, but I don't expect any incoming except maybe LB unless we sell. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Anyone else think Kane just fell over the defender? VAR review barely looked at it. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I'm pretty sure he would have liked to start Armstrong but suggested that each player's recovery had to be assessed. I guess Armstrong hadn't recovered well enough to start. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

But the argument is that they ARE on our books. If they're not good enough, we have to move them on to make financial space before we buy. If they figure in plans, buying whilst we've still got them blocks their progress. I'm as keen as anyone else to see us strengthen but these threads all too often degenerate into fantasy wish-lists. I guess it's more exciting to pretend or hope that we have unlimited funds rather than facing reality. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Looking for one ticket if any kind soul has one they can't use. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

We have two RB options. Unless Cedric leaves, you're in cloud cuckoo-land if you think we're getting anyone in. And midfield options are Hojbjerg, Romeu, JWP, Reed, Slattery, Smallbone, Armstrong, Redmond, Boufal, Djenepo (plus possibly Hesketh and Sims, with Lemina also still on the books). You need to get real. We are not adding to that list. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

If anyone mentions the B word once more on here there's going to be trouble. I've resigned from the Lounge to escape it! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Don't want to be a damp squib, but I'd guess our priority is still to shift players out. According to the 'taters today, we've got £75m worth of players out on loan. With a huge wage cost. We've got the core of a reasonably solid team now. Obvious weakness is the lack of backup LB but the other worries - strikers if Ings is injured, lack of quality at CB - are unlikely to be addressed until we get some money in. That's 12 points from the last 6 matches and, but for a wrongly disallowed goal and some poor finishing, should have been at least 14. Follow it up with two decent home games now with a minimum of 3-4 points (I'd probably take two draws, but we should do better) and I'll really feel the corner has been turned. Just need our home crowd to appreciate the improvement, get behind the team and makes some positive noise! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
