You are either a bit dumb or just being deliberately obtuse. 1. Some people will be vulnerable to this disease and not know it. 2. Some people will be isolating but will have no choice but to go out for supplies. 3. There will be many people who are not high risk but care for or are in contact with vulnerable people. I had to go and get some shopping for my 75 year old mother yesterday and most people in Tescos were sensibly following the social distancing rules yet there were enough selfish, ignorant assholes like you ignoring it to make the whole exercise pointless. I’m extra careful around her but if I get it then there’s always a risk of transfer if I have to go in and help her with something.

If I caught the virus last week then I would only just be starting to show symptoms which means I would probably be 7 or so days from when I will need ICU treatment. Great plan, my life might rest on the chances of there being a spare ventilator in Southampton General next Wednesday. Think I will just wash my hands thanks.

Did any of you have milder symptoms? Just asking because a couple of weeks ago I felt a bit iffy at work (just tired and feverish) so went home, had quick nap and was absolutely fine. Because I didn't have a temperature or cough didn't think anything of it but I did lose my sense of taste/smell for a few days. Then the exact same thing happened to the Mrs. It's only afterwards when the taste/smell thing was listed as a possible symptom we tough we might have had it.

That’s why I can see the clubs making sure the season is completed behind close doors. If it doesn’t then there’s no money from Sky or BT, then it’s meltdown. Don’t a lot of clubs have loans secured on future TV money?

I think mass testing is a bit different to testing your health workers. Wether people like Boris Johnson work from home or not makes no difference to the fight against the virus, it’s different for frontline workers. If a doctor or consultant takes two weeks off work at this stage you can measure the effect in deaths. Testing vital NHS staff as a no brainier, the only people who seem to disagree are the usual gammons on this place.

Agree but it is a similar situation for other businesses up and down the country, they are all going to use the government’s offer even if they have rich owners and high paid people at the top. It’s not football itself that’s the sick puppy, it’s the whole system. Hopefully we will tax the wealthiest through the nose afterwards to pay for it all.

If you had a cold then go it I expect you would have a change in symptoms so just get re-tested. If you are one of the people who don’t have any symptoms then obviously you would risk spreading it regardless.

But I don’t have a cough, my other half had a weird cough about 10 days ago so we have all been on lock down over what was probably nothing. Neither of us have any symptoms now but I have to isolate until Saturday. I can work from home so it’s not an issue but if I was a doctor I probably would have wasted the last two weeks. On the flip side I expect nurses are under huge pressure to go to work. If they felt a bit iffy 10 days ago but put it down to something else they might have spent the last 10 days spreading it around. There are probably thousands of people round the country who felt a bit rough but just assumed it was probably a cold then caught the tube to work because there are no tests available.

I’ve been on full lock down for 14 days because my other half had a bit of a cough last week. Neither of us have a clue wether one or both of us had it but if I was a Doctor that would be a big loss to the NHS if it was for nothing. The problem with this virus is that th3 symptoms can be mild or nonexistent, testing would make a huge difference.
