  1. Yes, maybe that's why there are plenty of females in important roles the shadow cabinet, or maybe they are just the best people for the job. Either way I'm not sure why Starmer being leader is an issue, he was obviously the stand out candidate.
  2. Are you suggesting that parties should not appoint the best candidate but positively discriminate based on sex and race?
  3. This. Only seen a few snippets of Parliament but what I’ve seen is a breath of fresh air.
  4. If the players (black or white) want to play why should they be stopped from earning a living because some nobhead fans don’t want them to to take the risk? Restart will only happen if the players agree to it.
  5. I would rather risk catching the virus than cycle to work during rush hour, too many idiot drivers around.
  6. You clearly can’t read, I said no one should be forced to play.
  7. You were talking about his parents, he shouldn’t go anywhere near them wether he plays a few games of footie or not. The Black thing is fair point, if the stats show the6 are much higher risk then they shouldn’t have to play if they don’t want to, just like no other player should be forced to.
  8. That was my experience yesterday, some people sensibly sticking to social distancing but made the whole exercise pointless by a few morons wandering around not giving a ****. That’s what happens when you get people to rely on their common sense, some people just don’t have any.
  9. Anyone high risk needs to self isolate, My mum is high risk so I haven’t been in her house since lockdown. I thought you would have known this?
  10. He shouldn’t go near them anyway if they are high risk.
  11. No heard it. Leaving it up to us to use common sense is fine if everyone has it, as we all know some people don’t have an ounce.
  12. Yeah he sounds like a right lad. Probably has the same attitude as the tosser who brushed past me coughing at Tescos earlier today though.
  13. I think we will struggle to find anyone to take those lot on loan in the current climate, unless we pay most their wages. Wether we go bust or not will probably depend on how much Gao is willing to dip into his pockets. Even if we finish this season and get some of the Sky money it’s going to be a struggle.
  14. Have you been in a coma for the last month and a half?
  15. No I believe they are less likely to have gang bangs with prostitutes if they are playing twice a week, are tested regularly and the outcome of their club’s season depends on them staying negative.
  16. Just because some people are ignorant of the risks doesn’t mean they are not bothered if they cause a death. I don’t think your head works properly if that’s what you think.
  17. Think being in lockdown has ****ed your head fella.
  18. 9 games in a month with regular testing would definitely cut down their partying, you’re going to be reluctant to organise that gang bang if you know a positive test could **** up your club’s season.
  19. So you don’t want football to start in case they spread the virus yet instead of getting the players back to work and be regularly tested you would rather they had time off to go to parties and gang bang prostitutes.
  20. But if the people involved are tested negative and isolate between matches the risk is surely not as high as thousands of fat middle aged people wandering around B&Q.
  21. We had the same information as other governments that were shutting down. I’m no expert on viruses so was happy to take the government’s advice at the time but the New Zealand PM said it was obvious early on what needed to be done, the virus is so infectious and when the infection rate grows exponentially time is absolutely critical. Literally every day counts. When you see the effect lockdown had on the curve it is obvious it should have happened sooner. The government should be applauded for getting the required ICU beds sorted but their slow start and lack of planning has cost lives.
  22. Re: symptoms, our government knew the same as all the others and I remember many other countries saying we were nuts at the time. The reason they gave at the time was that if we locked down too early we wouldn’t stick to it, advice given by behavioural scientists. It would be interesting to know who gave the advice and what they said exactly.
  23. South Korea’s league gets underway today, from the bbc: “All 1,142 K-League players, coaches and club staff were tested for Covid-19 last week. All the tests were negative. Players will use personal water bottles during the match. Each bottle has a label with their name on it. All staff will wear masks on the bench. And all players will get temperature checks to enter the stadium. This will not happen today but some K League clubs will use the stadium sound speaker to cheer on players. Recorded sound effects will be played during the match. Players can hear fans cheering if they score.” Probably less risky than a bunch of fat middle aged people wandering around BnQ touching stuff IMO.
  24. That’s my point, we could have slowed it more with quicker action, instead we have the highest amount of deaths in Europe.
  25. Young people can get seriously effected but they can also die from flu. With the amount of testing they are doing, the relatively few people involved and the hysteria from the public, the likelihood of more than a few people being effected has to be close to zero. Which means the chances of someone dying has to be remote. There was some medical expert on radio 5 yesterday who has actually seen the plans, they said because of the amount of testing and precautions in place the footballers will probably be among the safest and fittest people in the country.
