To be fair you can’t really label the guy a moron unless you know the full details of what happened. Their are certain circumstances that could leave you stranded in the middle lane, eg an accident, not having an opportunity to safely pull over or breaking down in stationary traffic. You can legislate for stupidity - that’s what a hard shoulder does.

You brought your t-shirt yet?

Peace, prosperity, and friendship with all nations - seriously? It’s like they thought up the exact polar opposite of what Brexit stands for. Has to be Boris “there are no press here” Johnson’s handywork.

Would have loved to have smashed the skates again but Norwich at home is a decent draw.
-
But there will always be idiots that can't read/obey signs, that is exactly why hard shoulders are safer.

Thick as **** AND no fashion sense.

Sentences should be longer, I would stop letting anyone out early for good behaviour, just add time to their sentence for bad behaviour. The problem is prisons cost money which means paying a bit more tax, and we can’t do that because all the rich people will move abroad or something. I’m not sure about capital punishment, I guess for the most depraved cases where there is no doubt at all about guilt them maybe. But you have to think that in 2020 we have a more civilised way of dealing with these people, and maybe it is worth keeping them alive if only to try and find out why people do those sort of things.

What a surprise, forcing people to wait for help in a live lane is ****ing dangerous. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51236375

Saints v Spurs (FA Cup) Match & Reactions Thread
aintforever replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
You are aware that they toss a coin at the start of a match and can choose to shoot whichever way they want? -
Oh dear

Abraham and Vardy crocked as well now, Ings will probably start at this rate.

It’s understandable why some people think racism might be a reason for their treatment when you see the comparison with how Kate has been portrayed for doing the exact same things. Newspapers are never going to be overtly racist about a Royal even if they have racist motivations behind what they write. This buzzfeed article (I can’t guarantee how accurate a representation it is) reminded me of a similar feature about the treatment some black footballers got. White footballer - generous guy buys his lovely family a house v Black football - blows his massive pack packed on expensive stuff. All very subtle, nothing overtly racist written but seen in comparison you have to question the reasons for the difference. https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/ellievhall/meghan-markle-kate-middleton-double-standards-royal It’s impossible to say if race is a factor but with papers like the Mail or Telegraph which would have a sizeable amount a racist/xenophobic readers I wouldn’t be surprised if there was an element of pandering to their preconceptions.

Yep, happened right in front of me. The little sh!t ran onto the pitch and after Boufal got him off, a steward grabbed him by the collar to make sure he didn’t go back on. Then bizarrely, the bloke, who I assume was his dad, instead of telling the little ****er off decided to start laying into a steward. The other Stewards bundled him but then we’re surrounded by a load his chav mates, who just as bizarrely seemed to be upset that the stewards were doing their job. You have to feel sorry for the kid really, with parents like that he has no hope.

Britain's Next Top Prime Minister - Labour Leadership Election 2020.
aintforever replied to CB Fry's topic in The Lounge
Calm down old man. It’s pretty much impossible to predict the outcome of an election in 5 years time. Everything depends on what happens with Brexit, if it’s a success the Tories will walk it regardless of what Labour do. If it has any sort of negative effect on people’s lives then the party that screamed “just get it done” will look like a bunch of fools. -

Exactly. To stand any chance of winning an election Labour need someone who can appeal to middle England. Wether Starmer can do that remains to be seen but it’s no point choosing a leader just to try and win the votes of a load of northern monkeys in their traditional strongholds. Simply by not being Corbyn he should be able to win those back. -

I'm not upset in the slightest, just think it's a bit of an odd thing to do, but I guess these forums are a magnet for all sorts of weirdos. It's particularly strange that you seem to think sabotaging another parties internal politics is fair game given how much you like to preach about democracy. -

If you don’t think pretending to be a supporter of a party you oppose, just to vote for a bad leader is dishonest then I give up. Luckily most people don’t reside in the gutter like you, if they did then our political system would be in an even bigger mess. -

Tactical voting is nothing like trying to sabotage another parties leadership contest. People vote tactically because the voting system is not fit for purpose. I have only ever voted tatically in a GE because my preferred choice has no chance of winning so rather than waste a vote I vote for the choice of the two with a chance that best represents my views - there is nothing dishonest about it at all. Pretending to be a member of a party you hate just to try and get a sh!t leader elected, is not just a bit weird but is just plain dishonest. You certainly can’t lecture anyone on being undemocratic if you support this sort of behaviour. -

That's rubbish - Corbyn would have won regardless, he 49.6% of full members' votes and 57.6% of affiliated supporters so the £3 sign-ups made no difference at all. Any weirdo that paid £3 to vote for something they didn't believe in just gave money to the party. -

Seriously. What sort of bellend joins an opposition party to try and influence a vote? -
Doesn't change the fact that more people voted for parties that wanted to stop Brexit or hold a second vote, despite one of those parties being pretty much unelectable. The choice we had at the last election wasn't Bexit yes or No. It was Bexit yes, or maybe no but with a Marxist government led by an IRA-loving antisemite.
-
Football fans will moan about anything, the fans were the ones calling for VAR this time last season. It just needs the offside analysis and the handball rules tweaking and it's fine.
-
To be fair the Tories got a stonking majority because the opposition were a bunch of unelectable Marxists, and even then, more votes went to parties who favoured a second referendum or cancelling Brexit altogether.

Which one player would be the worst to lose to injury now?

Obviously Ings.
