We spend too much on the military anyway, stop getting involved in pointless wars and reduce it further IMO.

9000 on more than £100k pa seems a lot to me, especially considering our country functioned perfectly well before the EU became so big. I'm not against immigration but it needs to be controlled, the fact that loads are coming in from China etc means we should let less in from the EU in my opinion. In any case, there is no reason why we shouldn't have a referendum so we can decide for ourselves. There is no motivation for the big parties to get their noses out the trough and there is no motivation for the Euro MPs to vote themselves out of a job.
-
The whole EU just seems like more pigs with their noses in the trough for every little gain. That's why the traditional main parties have let it grow so big - more jobs for the boys with expenses and tax breaks thrown in. The three main parties only have themselves to blame for UKIP's rise, all have promised referendums but failed to bother to consult the population. People see their wages pushed downwards and the wait for their GP get longer because of immigration and have been utterly powerless to do anything about it whilst the 3 main parties ignore them and serve their own interests - that's why it is undemocratic. That's why UKIP are an attractive option.

If we want him it makes sense to sign him permanently ASAP.

I don't usually go on other teams forums but reading that link is funny. That Riddle bloke is obviously an architect working on the Tescos project, it's funny watching him desperately try and sell the idea of being penned in forever by a massive Tescos.

I will probably vote UKIP if it appears they are best placed to compete with the Tories in my area. Sadly where I live the current voting system means if I vote for what I believed in I had might as well roll my ballot paper up and shove it up my arse. "Vote Nigel wake up with Ed" - that would be OK with me.

I see they've sussed out his lack of plan B already: "Poch has, again consistently, failed to make any tactical change of note. His subsitutions are actually good, but often too late. Further no tactical change ensues. At Southampton he had an unenviable record of never winning a game from a losing position, nothing has changed here."

For those who think can/will finish higher than 8th this season
aintforever replied to Rasiak-9-'s topic in The Saints
Finishing above Everton, Spurs and Liverpool looks achievable. I doubt we will be anywhere near Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Man Utd though. We will have a clearer idea once we have had a few hard games, the fixture list has been kind. The good thing is we have the points on the board so can go into those games high on confidence and without any pressure. -
Finishing 8th with us is not really looking like much of an achievement anymore. I won't give Poch much time if things carry on like they are.

Northam is still much better, can't even hear Itchen most of the time.

So he can't go and watch football because of his political viewpoint? Bizarre

Play the strongest team possible, days out at Wembley and silverware is what it's all about.

8 pts and +16GD better than Judas Pinocchio..........

To be fair, Koeman has got better players. who know what we would be like if we still had sh!t like Lallana, Lambert and Lovren in the side. -
I don't think we will get a better chance because apart from City and Chelsea everyone looks beatable. BUT we have had easy fixtures, we will have a better idea of our chances in January. Between the 30th Nov and 10th of Jan we play Man Utd twice, Arsenal twice, Man City, Chelsea and Everton. So far we've had two hard games Liverpool and Spurs - and lost both.
-
Some people don't seem to understand what a hypothetical question is. Of course we want to win both. Things are looking good in the league but fact is we won't finish top 4 and it's unlikely that we will be top 6 come May so a cup win would be great.
-
Cup win for me, we won't finish top 4 but we could win the cup.

I'm bitter and proud. F*ck the scouse c*nts, watching them fail is fantastic.

If you are so interested in the case why don't you post a timeline of how you think the McCanns could have carried it out that ties in with the evidence? Seems to me you are more interested in perpetuating a malicious conspiracy theory than try to get to the bottom of what actually happened - that's why people get the hump and why you get the responses you do. I don't have much time for people like the McCanns who neglect their children so would love to see them go down if they did it. I sort of buy the idea that people like that could drug their kid and maybe it went wrong (that's what I originally thought). But as soon as you look at the evidence in detail and the window of opportunity available I just don't think it's a realistic theory at all. Tell us how they could have done it and maybe you can change my mind...

Pap, no one is being bullied but it's frustrating because we keep going round in circles. You say the McCanns killed her because of them looking dodgy, dogs barking etc - I ask how you think they might have done it and you don't give an answer. i have already given my theories on what I think is most likely to have happened. I am genuinely interested in how you think they carried it out. How, why and when did they kill her, how did they dispose of the body and who else was in on it?

just a quick scan; 10pm He said she shouted: "They've taken her, they've taken her, they've taken our little girl." Mr McCann and the friends then ran to the apartment and began searching. According to Kate, the bedroom window was open and the shutter up, yet they had been closed and down when Gerry checked at 9pm. Kate searched the apartment and the area immediately outside. Estimated time 10.30 pm: Kate McCann was just panicking, frightened for Madeleine and wondering what happened to her, according to a statement from Fiona Payne. She described to police what she saw, when she returned to the McCann apartment, after searching the area around Ocean Club, with other members of the group of friends, for five to ten minutes, following the alert that Madeleine was missing. 0.10 am*police start operation and call PSP, PJ, Border and Immigration Services and Faro Airport. 'Silvia Batisa, head of administration at the complex, helped to comfort the family and interpret their interviews with the police: "The parents were devastated, in a panic. They wanted more police and dogs immediately. Kate said all the time, 'Please find my daughter' and 'Madeleine is beautiful'." * There was substantial searching involving tourists and locals for some hours. Kate remained in the apartment hoping for news, while Gerry went out and looked. The PJ arrived at 1am, according to the McCanns. There was substantial searching involving tourists and locals for some hours. Kate remained in the apartment hoping for news, while Gerry went out and looked. JOHN McCANN (Gerry McCanns' brother): He was walking the streets of Praia da Luz at half past three. I think most of the search party had disbanded by then and he was still crying his eyes out. By 3.30am the police had packed it in for the night. The searching was pretty much over. Gerry and Kate were frustrated and desperate. 04:00 Gerry went out at about 4am with David Payne, another of their group, hoping to find something. Later, at about 6am, the McCanns went out alone and walked around the scrubland on the outskirts of the village, holding hands and calling Madeleine's name. There was nobody else around and they felt utterly alone. ??? They got up at first light and went to search alone on the open scrubland beyond the resort, wandering around, calling Madeleine's name. It was cold and lonely – there was no answer.*

They did look for them according to that mccann files website.

So "some issue that members of the party are embarrassed about" is killing their own daughter! I sometimes wonder about some people on here. Have you managed to come up with one timeline of how they possibly carried it out yet? Just one theory of how, why and when they killed her and how they disposed of the body....
-
Have you got a link to this? It would be interesting to know how the McCanns concealed the body in a shallow grave for days, within walking distance when the area was search by hundreds of people and police with dogs. Also how do you suppose they dug the grave? Either they used their bare hands, took a shovel with them on holiday or there was a 24hr B&Q within walking distance.
