  1. If MLG had drawn those we all know what you and your other small-minded pleb's responses would have been. We've only EVER talked about plans and ambitions.
  2. Good to see some were proved right about what the club would be planning.
  3. Almost as if they are just plans?
  4. I dunno why we are planning that, we're only a small club FFS.
  5. That's the extra away ticket sorted then.
  6. Man City Chelsea Man Utd Saints 12th Wigan Norwich Swansea
  7. A is upper middle class B middle class C1 lower middle class Think 71% is quite a high percentage. Basically our fans are richer and less chavy than average.
  8. Oh come on, it is a nightmare start. I've seen Saints in the prem enough seasons to know that. It's good to get points on the board early, calms the nerves, give the team confidence and eases the pressure. If we're approaching October on zero points we all know the pressure that brings.
  9. The order of games doesn't mean a great deal but newly promoted sides do tend to have a honeymoon period which can give you something to build on. Getting smashed in our opening few games might not do alot for momentum and confidence.
  10. What a nightmare start, next season will be a struggle.
  11. Probably because most of that time we were not skint.
  12. Virtually everyone works hard, my best mate works himself to the bone but doesn't earn great money. Another mate earns an absolute fortune and spends most his life on a golf course. We all pay tax and it's right that those who can afford to pay more, you still get more money the more you work. We need to reduce the tax burden on the lowest paid and cut benefits to get he work shy off their asses. people in the 50% tax bracket who moan are just plain greedy IMO.
  13. How come Holland havn't already been knocked out if it goes on head to head? They have already lost to Germany and Denmark and can only reach 3 points?
  14. I think the recent managerial merry-go-round might have given us a better chance of staying up. Norwich, West Brom and Swansea are all teams that may be alot worse this year. Wigan will be down there and I don't think West Ham will do as well as people think. I can see next year being even more of a two tier league.
  15. I know the clubs get told in advance along with the rozzers so this could be true. Would have been nice to get a glamour fixture to start but this could be a good chance to get some points on the board early on.
  16. saint lard's post proves that this place is inhabited by nutjobs.
  17. Bruce is talking ******, there is no way we are in the same class as Swansea, they have £40mill in the bank because they've been in the Prem a season FFS.
  18. I would go for Cork, easily good enough for the Prem and probably more captain material than Schneiderlin. If Adkins see's Fonte as his top centre back it will probably be him though.
  19. Lawrensen is just a miserable ***t, I really don't get how he stays in his job. I don't mind Hansen and Shearer, though being scottish should rule Hansen out of being a pundit for a England game.
  20. he was never really given a chance last season, Palace would be a good move for him.
  21. I agree Redknapp could have kept us up but he had a difficult job so shouldn't take most of the blame. Wigley dropped too many points against sh!te teams at home. In the Prem it's the home games against the smaller clubs that you target to get the points you need to stay up. Winning away at any club is hard, winning against the big clubs home or away is hard. Wigley won 1 game the whole time he was in charge and during that time every home game was a "winnable" one. Redknapp took over a team in a mess and still had Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs to play at home meaning we had to get results on the road and against top sides at home. Redknapp must take some of the blame but Lowe and Wigley have to take the lion's share.
  22. The thing with debt is it has to be paid back, do you really think these trillions can be paid back? To pay back what we all supposedly owe would mean austerity like we've never known. The public just wouldn't and wont allow it.
  23. Fair play to Lowe for not flogging him. I actually think Simon Jordon is pretty sound. Has always sounded fairly honest to me.
  24. It's all just meaningless figures though, the whole World is in debt, the US figures are just as staggering. There will reach a point when all the World's governments will just decide to write it all off. It will be zero overnight at some point.
