Splashing £12mill on Ramirez was bound to create speculation like this. Probably b*ll*x.

Dean Hammond - Brighton Season Long Loan Deal
aintforever replied to Big_Bald_Si's topic in The Saints
Shame to see him go. It won't take him long to win over the Brighton fans. -
The extra hours and responsibility is the disincentive, tax would only play a minor role because the percentages are only ever a few either way. Everyone thinks they work hard, wether they are on minimum wage or in the highest tax bracket. I earn an above average salary and coudn't even tell you how much tax I pay a month - it doesn't interest me. My nan is recovering in hospital at the moment as well, I'm glad I have helped contribute to the care she and you are receiving. I'm certainly not moaning about how much the government have "stolen" off me or bothered that I couldn't afford that second week abroad.
-
Have you turned down a promotion and pay rise because you would pay more tax? Seriously?

31mill so far.... http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/interactive/2012/aug/31/premier-league-transfers-2012-deadline-day

Get the **** in!!!!

How can a high rate of tax ever be a disincentive to self-advancement? You still earn more money the more you work, even if you set a top rate at 90%. If you are that greedy to hate paying tax so much you will want to earn the extra money regardless of how much tax you pay.
-
Everyone who works offers something in return. Thanks to our society, which needs to be funded by taxes. I think this tax is an excellent idea. A one off Robin Hood style tax will negate the argument that people will leave the country to avoid paying tax.
-
Probably because the wealthy get wealthy by taking money from other people.
-
Yes please, great player.

You said we couldn't compete with Swansea in the transfer market. LOL
-
I expect that's in Euros. Im guessing the rate is quite good at the moment with Spain and Greece in meltdown.

Discussion/debate? Twitter is on par with "p!ssed bloke down pub" for reliability.

I dont get why we are persevering with this 4-3-3 nonsense. We should stick to what we are good at, there is no reason whatsoever why 4-4-2 can't work in the Prem. At the moment we are crowbaring players into positions they are uncomfortable in.

If some anonymous twitterer with a funny name says so that's good enough for me! Welcome aboard Gaston.

Who is the best SFC player you saw as a youngster

Doh! miss-read the question. He's the best player I saw when I was a youngster. Has to be Shearer then. -

Peter Shilton It annoys me that he gets overlooked so often just because he was a keeper. On paper probably the best player we've ever had. -
You guys need to stop fretting about the -10. The condition set by the FL for the new owners getting the golden share is "Accept a deduction of 10 points in the 2012/13 season". Wether they come out of admin tomorrow or in the close season makes no difference. Also the conditions have already been agreed by the members so I expect none of them will budge no matter how much the cheats try and wriggle out of it. "Therefore, the Board were faced with the prospect of numerous unsecured creditors receiving less than one penny in the pound, without having the opportunity to indicate their satisfaction (or otherwise) in the normal way. In the Board's view, these arrangements do not respect a key principle of The Football League's Insolvency Policy" - even if the cheats manage to get all the unsecured creditors from the previous CVA to say they are happy with I expect the reason they will have delayed the deduction is purely to give them scope to increase it should they fail to get a CVA this time around. They will be looking at at least a further -17 if they don't agree this one.

I really enjoyed Stockholm, quite pricey worth it.

Agree, the fact that so many corporate seats/boxes remain empty suggests that the club have still not got the commercial side right. Or maybe having high prices and some empty seats will still maximise revenue?

Why are you mongs wetting yourself because we didn't sell out against Wigan? It's Wigan FFS, there are more glamorous sides in League 1.
