  1. Has to be Man Utd, the only team other than pompey that I hate with a passion.
  2. Hats off to Chelsea, I was happy when they won but I ****ing love it now. Sepp Blatter and that nazi c*nt Beckenbauer must have hated it when the English side took the trophy home. Blatter has such an anti English agenda, a German team loses on penalties and it's a tragedy, yet he didn't say a thing about goal=line technology when we scored that goal against the kraut c*nts.
  3. Last time I watched Saints at Reading I saw 2 fans going into the Reading end in their Chelsea shirts. Reading is just a small time League 1 club that has been bankrolled by Majeski. In the 1980's some seasons their average attendance was 3,500.
  4. It's time for multiball Mayhem. At the end of extra-time, if it's still a draw a new ball is thrown on the pitch every 2mins. 2 rules: no handball, no eye gauging.
  5. So Pompey want to avoid paying their former Premier League players so they can use the Premier League parachute payments to gain an advantage over other League 1 sides. The simple solution is to liquidate the club and the Premier League pay the players the money they are entitled to. Use the parachute money for what it was meant for.
  6. Exactly, if they had been on sale the club would already have my cash. If I get made redundant/car blows up/girlfriend gets knocked up/whatever tomorrow I won't get one, maybe won't go to SMS at all. As it stands I am actually glad they are delaying the sale because the mate I go with might not be able to get a ST (depends on babies n stuff), if he doesn't get one i wont.
  7. It's a retarded idea, the economy is doing badly enough as it it. If people have zero job security they are not exactly likely to go out spending their cash, they will just stick it in the bank in case their boss sacks them because he's in a bad mood.
  8. That works out better then, I always thought when we were in the Prem it worked out as just the one free. We find out soon.
  9. That could be the case, it would mean we wold have to sell out virtually every game to make it worthwhile. We may do I suppose. Getting a ST usually works out as getting one game free. If I didn't get one I would probably miss way more due to various reasons (holiday, can't be arsed to watch Wigan etc) so the club would definitely get more cash from me with a season ticket. I can see the club's way of thinking but feel they may be losing out a very small amount. I suppose as were loaded now it doesn't matter anyway.
  10. I've heard they are doing the gold, silver, bronze thing - but that was obvious anyway. I see no logical reason for not selling STs yet, surely the longer they are on sale the more they will sell. I can't see how the reverse could be true.
  11. I thought the whole point was that it was the same torch, carried hundreds of miles? Not a whole bunch of people with their own torches running a few hundred metres each then getting rich at our expense by flogging the "piece of history' on ebay.
  12. If it goes past my house I might lean forward on my couch a bit to look out my window.
  13. I didn't say highest level you plumb, I said higher. Someone like Yakubu who got 18 goals for Blackburn last year, could be worth a shout. Fletcher got 12 for Wolves. Someone from a decent foreign league might be a better option. I wouldn't rule out Hooper or Rodreguez but think we could do with at least a couple of players who we know can do a job in the Prem.
  14. As long as they are giving all the money to charity it's OK. If not they are c*nts.
  15. I think West Ham going up just made it a whole lot harder to stay up. It's only guesswork as it's so early but you have to expect relegation to be between Us, Reading, West Ham, Wigan, QPR, Norwich, Swansea and West Brom. I can't see Villa having another season that bad, Fulham, Stoke and Sunderland all have too much about them to be down there.
  16. F*ck knows. Someone who has played and scored at a high level. Higher than the Championship or SPL anyway. We have a whole squad of players unproven in the Prem, we don't need more IMO.
  17. We never sign any player unless we think they can be better than what we have. They should always have to prove they are better though. I would keep Kelvin as the No1 wether we spend 10mill or 100K on a keeper. Until the new guy proves he is better.
  18. I think we should be aiming higher than Hooper or Rodriguez now we're Prem. We need some players proven at the highest level.
  19. Disagree, I don't think it would be great for team moral if we just dumped the players that got us promoted and brought in 11 new first teamers. There has to be a balance between adding quality and keeping the nucleus of the side that won the right to play at a higher level. The team got promoted because they are too good for Championship football. Kelvin was the best keeper in the division. I don't think it would be great management to dump him on the bench for someone who is supposedly better because they have a high price tag. I would bring in a top quality keeper but Kelvin would start as No1. Unless of course there is an obvious gulf in class.
  20. Unless £7m for Hooper IS us being cautious?
  21. His contribution to promotion from League 1 was crucial. His experience and finishing got us over the finish line and he played a key role in our great start in the Championship. Great signing. Thanks DC.
  22. West Brom, Wigan and Norwich. Though if Blackpool go up I can see them going straight back down. Us, Reading and Swansea will be the other teams involved in the dog fight.
  23. Would have preferred liquidation but this could be funnier. Once he's got his hands on the parachutes he will just leave them to rot and it will be admin time again in a year or two's time.
  24. 6/30 I drink beer, Eat meat, watch football, and can swim, drive a car and ride a bike. It's all irrelevant though because I'm hung like a gorilla.
