  1. "The absence of the statutory annual report and accounts, coupled with the fact that Portpin is registered in the secrecy jurisdiction of the British Virgin Islands, have made transparency impossible to achieve." Wouldn't surprise me at all if Portpin was part owned by Gaydamak.
  2. My mate supports Arsenal and he's had a ST at St Mary's for years. At first it was because they were full up at Highbury then it's more for convenience.
  3. No one is suggesting that size of catchment area = size of support, though that fact is obviously lost on the usual suspects. Catchment area is obviously a factor for potential support from fairweathers and neutrals etc - people you need to convert to more regular goers in order to build the fan base.
  4. Not exactly a conspiracy, it's his job to get as much money for the creditors as possible.
  5. What Strachan achieved, given his resources, was excellent. SFC now has the potential to achieve more. F*ck me it's not that hard to understand is it? I can't believe I've ended up being trolled by the numpty again. This forum is being ruined.
  6. I'm sorry but any shower of sh!te can get to a FA Cup Final with an easy enough draw, Millwall and Portsmouth have proved that. Apart from Spurs in the 3rd round we just got an easy run of games.
  7. Boro actually won something and got to a UEFA cup final for starters.
  8. I know, there is no reason why we cannot spend similar to them now though. That's my point, Strachan was always up against it money wise.
  9. I expect Cortese will be aiming for Europe. Will take a while but that will be his plan.
  10. What Strachan did was superb considering his resources. What the club achieved was only flirting with success though when you consider what Boro and Fulham did for example.
  11. It was good, but could be improved upon with a bit of investment.
  12. Totally agree. Except I don't think what we achieved under Strachan was that great. We got an easy route to a cup final and got d!cked, got into Europe through the back door and lasted one game. We had some decent players but there was no real investment (even when we are playing well players like Ormerod do not really put bums on seats). There is scope to achieve more now.
  13. The funniest option would be for the pompey trust to buy the club and have all the dumb skates fork out £1000 for their share. Then a year down the line go bust again.
  14. We've only ever discussed future plans and aspirations, only your little head somehow interpreted that as meaning we expect it to happen next week. There has clearly been a communication failure. It's quite clear what Cortese's future plans for SFC are, and that obviously depends on demand and what happens on the pitch.
  15. If MLG had drawn those we all know what you and your other small-minded pleb's responses would have been. We've only EVER talked about plans and ambitions.
  16. Good to see some were proved right about what the club would be planning.
  17. Almost as if they are just plans?
  18. I dunno why we are planning that, we're only a small club FFS.
  19. That's the extra away ticket sorted then.
  20. Man City Chelsea Man Utd Saints 12th Wigan Norwich Swansea
  21. A is upper middle class B middle class C1 lower middle class Think 71% is quite a high percentage. Basically our fans are richer and less chavy than average.
  22. Oh come on, it is a nightmare start. I've seen Saints in the prem enough seasons to know that. It's good to get points on the board early, calms the nerves, give the team confidence and eases the pressure. If we're approaching October on zero points we all know the pressure that brings.
  23. The order of games doesn't mean a great deal but newly promoted sides do tend to have a honeymoon period which can give you something to build on. Getting smashed in our opening few games might not do alot for momentum and confidence.
  24. What a nightmare start, next season will be a struggle.
