To be fair Jones had zero top level experience as a player or manager, that was the biggest issue. At least a former player who has been there and done it can speak with some sort of authority, just like a manager who has had success abroad at the top level.
-
Can't see any Premier League teams being interested in either of them, both proven failures at the highest level. You just have to see how well Tella has done to see the size of the gulf, the Premier League is a different beast now than even 5 years ago. Chelsea spent more than the rest of Europe combined and they are mid-table.

This, the gap between the Prem and Championship is massive now. If we get the right manager and if the owners are willing/able to take a bit of a punt money wise there is no reason why we couldn't do what Fulham or Bournemouth did. Fulham were very similar in that they spend a whole load of cash on new players the season they went down. The squad is a mess but there are assets to raise cash and a load of young players who should improve. Just need to add some players with a bit of fight, especially in midfield who, apart from Lavia, are a bunch of pussies.

I thought his positioning was off and the above shows how bad it was. Looks to me like a classic mistake made through lack of experience. Even a shit keep with a bit of experience would know that it would take an extraordinary header to beat you from there if you were in position.
-
Might be, or might not be if the owners think it makes sense to take a punt on a swift return. We just don’t know.
-
But the situation this time should be different because we are not a PLC, Lowe couldn’t take a punt and try and get us back up. This lot have invested a load in these new players so it should make sense to stick with the project and have a good go at promotion. I think there is enough in that squad to make some money from sales and put out a decent side capable of challenging, if we get the right manager (big if I know). It all depends on the owners.

Potter should be available soon. . Definitely need a clean sweep in the summer.
-
False position as in we are in reality 6 or 7 adrift you bell-end.
-
To be fair West Ham were garbage as well.
-
Get rid and start next season with a new manager to give us a chance of promotion.
-
That side doesn’t have a prayer of staying up. We’re bottom of the league but that’s a false position with the fixtures we have left. Once we’ve played City and Arsenal again we will be 6 or 7 adrift.
-
Total shite, no surprise at all given the line up.
-
That’s what it looks like to me as well. Hopefully it pays off, I just struggle to see us staying in the game with so little attacking threat.

Elynoussi In ahead of Alcaraz and Sulemana - fuck me.

Would the increase in processing times mean the strikes have more effect?

Think is win or bust tomorrow now.

What, Covid victims are actors and PCR tests 'were the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on mankind'?

There was constant debate over wether the government's response was correct or not, and rightly so. Like every other government around the world they got plenty wrong. There is no point debating the moronic idea that it was some sort of big conspiracy to lock everyone one down for no reason though. I can't stand the Tories, especially Johnson's bunch of cronies, but the idea that they wanted to borrow billions just to pay people to sit at home and watch Netflix is just batshit crazy. It is a shame that Le Tiss has ended up where he has, he will always be a footballing hero of mine but spreading the sort of nonsense he does is just dangerous.

Yeah, because mentioning someone anonymously on a football forum is the same as snitching on them to the tax man.

To be honest I don’t blame companies for ripping the arse out of it. At the start of the pandemic there were so many uncertainties and I expect many businesses owners feared for their future. I know people who were sent home in furlough but were still given work but that doesn’t mean there was enough work to cover their wage. So it is a grey area. I just found it funny that my mates who were so used to calling out dole scroungers (typical Tory attitude) were filling their boots with government hand-outs given half a chance. They hated me taking the piss out of them over it.
-
So you expect me to dob my mates into the tax man because they put a few too many people on furlough - brilliant! You must be popular down your ‘Alehouse’. I expect every other company in the country was doing the same, just like how they have a million ways to avoid paying tax.
-
It seems to me, just thought talking to friends etc, that most companies took the piss with the furlough thing, it was so easy to put people on furlough and just get them working from home. Some of my mates are business owners and they all ripped the arse out of it. Ironically they are the typical Tory types who traditionally like to moan about dole scroungers taking state handouts. Given half a chance and they are doing exactly the same.

It’s mental that the Yanks keep letting this happen. As long as they keep voting in people who block gun reform they only have themselves to blame.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

It's obvious to everyone that he was lying through his teeth, it's mental that it is still being debated. It's like we are entering a Trump world of alternative facts. If he manages to squirm his way out of this it won't be a good look for the Tories. -
Shouldn't this be the Sir Mark Rowley thread now?
