  1. Went to have a look at the great mans grave earlier this year. Very sad but it is currently unmarked. Due to a family dispute, the headstone has been removed and there is nothing but a Spike-sized oblong of earth. Hope that his headstone is back soon.
  2. Try this one:- http://www.earthcam.com/usa/newyork/statueofliberty/?cam=liberty_hd
  3. For most of the first half Spurs players were allowed to pick the ball up deep in their own half and run unchallenged to our goal area. He is right with the "contact sport" remark, cos we weren`t making any.
  4. http://audioboo.fm/boos/1029694-nigel-adkins-bbc-motd-interview-after-saints-2-1-defeat-to-tottenham Found it.
  5. Can`t see the usual thread about Adkins aftermatch remarks. Didn`t hear it so does anyone have an idea of what he said or a link to it?
  6. John Leyton??
  7. Red Hot Chilli Pipers "Smoke on the Water"
  8. I remember when I was very young that I was taken to see the film of "Oklahoma" and I asked for the soundtrack LP for Christmas. Was really ****ed off when I got the Embassy version and not the "real" one!
  9. Just catching up with "Hatfields and McCoys". Great piece of TV.
  10. You won`t last long on here posting balanced, common sense stuff like this.
  11. Opinion? So says the person whose posts are full of "It`s obvious that" or "Adkins confirmed", never, "in my opinion" or "it`s possible that". You post everything as fact, no matter how close to the actual truth they are.
  12. Exactly. I am afraid that with his "raison d`etre" to be one of this forums inner-circle "characters" he is becoming as tiresome as Dalek with his one-trick pony Hoddle mantra.
  13. Pretty much what I was getting at, but, hey, what do I know? Sent from my HTC Desire S using Tapatalk 2
  14. If you read my post you will see that I indicated that IMHO NA was probably involved in a joint decision to agree a process/system, not that he decide himself. But O.K. you win. I have far better thing to do with my time than argue with someone with as much inside knowledge of the workings of the club as yourself. Iv`e got a yoghurt in the fridge that is going out of date.
  15. Who said that they were instructions from above or something that NA decided himself? The third, and most likely option, IMHO, is that the whole management team sat down before the season started and agreed a process/system between them which NA is trying to adhere to, which is quite different to "confirmation at the weekend from the manager that he is not fully In control of team affairs and transfers". This is my opinion and I wouldn`t dream of saying "this is fact".
  16. Again, where did he actually say this? He said that "... we will continue playing 4-3-3." Is that his policy? Is that NC`s policy? Is that AGREED club policy? Do you know, or are you as usual quoting "facts" again to suit your point of view.
  17. "confirmation at the weekend from the manager that he is not fully In control of team affairs and transfers" You obviously heard something like this over the week-end to say that NA "confirmed" this in his interview. What I heard was NA saying that all team selections etc were down to only him and that we would continue playing 4-3-3. You are obviously much more perceptive than me, being able to translate that into something different.
  18. Ah. OK. So no actual confirmation from the manager then? Just more 2+2=? . Sent from my HTC Desire S using Tapatalk 2
  19. Can please provide a link for NA confirming that he isn't in charge of team affairs? I must have missed it. Sent from my HTC Desire S using Tapatalk 2
  20. This is the point. We have had all of the "Southampton Way" and the using Barca as a model stuff. I am sure that NA and NC would have sat down and agreed a model going forward and been prepared to stick to it and not panic short term whilst establishing it. IMHO, I cannot believe that NA isthe type of man/character to slavishly take orders from a chairman and when he knows things are wrong. I believe that NA is far too principled for that to be the case.
  21. Sorry. I didn`t realise that he was such a delicate soul.
  22. Been told to or agreed to? Sent from my HTC Desire S using Tapatalk 2
  23. I quite agree. There are a number of FB groups trying to get the BBC to change there mind https://www.facebook.com/groups/224831887648166/ and a petition http://www.change.org/petitions/the-bbc-reinstate-mike-harding-to-his-bbc-radio-2-weekly-folk-show-2 The guy increased the listening figures for the Folk show unbelievably and is Folk through and through. He deserves better.
  24. You may or may not be correct. I am just completely ****ed off with "know-alls" like you who post your opinions as fact. You know as much as anybody else, which is the sum total of "**** all!" The only people that know the truth are NA and NC. By all means post an opinion, but please do not pretend that you have inside information that makes you special. I am no great fan of NC from the point of view of public relations but I have even less time for the knobs on here who pretend to have an inside track and give it the "Billy Big ********" approach of "I know something that you don`t" to make them seem "special".
