Any news of any momentous decisions taked at the AGM last night??
-
Opinions are like ass-holes - everybody`s got one - and that is perfectly fine and how it should be. My problem is those posters who present their opinions as fact, without knowing the truth of a situation. Sadly, those same posters are generally unable to put their hands up and say "Sorry - I got it wrong" sometimes.
-
So we don`t ever post or talk about anything on here unless it is 100% factual?? No rumours? No speculation? Jeez, this is going to be a really boring forum and you must be a really interesting person (I only deal in facts!) to have a conversation with.
-
Yeah, no, like you said.......
-
I am not particularly having a go here, but this is ridiculous. Footballers and managers are forever giving interviews. They always say absolutely nothing. It is the same things, the same platitudes all of the time. When was the last time that you heard an interview with a player or a manager that you came away from more knowledgable than you were before hearing it?? Yet on this forum we anyalyse every word and nuance and turn it into a crisis. Chill out. Let things pan out. We either trust AP to do a good job or we don`t but it`s only on the pitch activities that will let us know whether we were right or wrong.
-
Isn`t part of the "fun" of these forums joining in speculation??
-
Who are these two I wonder??

From us or you??

Dictators find a place in Harry’s game Vivid imagination: Redknapp Harry Redknapp was asked to comment on Manchester City’s transfer spending, which may well surpass £100million this summer. A man of vivid imagination, Redknapp came up with a gem of an answer. ‘There’s nothing you can do,’ he said. ‘They’re bringing good players into the Premier League. ‘Football fans don’t care. Saddam Hussein could own their football club and, if he’s putting millions into it, then they’ll be quite happy. 'They’ll be singing, “There’s only one Saddam”. I’ve seen it all before. They don’t care if you’re putting the money in.’ He is right, of course. And for ‘Saddam’ you could read Pol Pot, Joseph Stalin or Kim Il Sung. If they could guarantee a top-four placing — with perhaps a Carling Cup thrown in — then their character flaws would be swiftly overlooked by the chaps in the cheap seats. And something Harry forgot to mention: those blood-stained, tyrannical owners would never run short of football managers ready and willing to work for them. I love festivals. For many, many years we used to go to the Sidmouth Festival as a family holiday. My girls grew up at the festival. Regularly still go to Towersey, Bromyard and the Oysterband Big Session Festival in Leicester. Summer is Festival time!! Last week we went to the Festival of History at Kellmarsh Hall in Northampton. Still buzzing now!! Looking forward to Broadlands on 7th - 8th August. http://www.eventplan.co.uk/Broadlands2010.htm

I do understand this and I do sincerely sympathize, or empathize, as Romsey Dave would say, but it was the "dickheads seem happy" remark that was ridiculous.
-
Please explain which "dickheads seem happy". Do you you think, like Dave Romsey does, that those that have been able to get their ST`s O.K. are all sat around splitting their sides at other fans that maybe struggling to find money?? What do you suggest we do? Suicide bomb SMS??? Please while you are at it, please explain how these fans "have been dumped on big time". Prices of just about everything have gone up. I accept, as I always have done, that the removal of the installment plan will effect some, and I agree that the lack of communication has been appalling, but don`t let that stop you making ridiculous sweeping statements.
-
I am very confused with your stance on this (very much as you are I suspect). I am a an ST holder of many years. I found out the ST details, had no major issues with the price, renewed on line in about 1 minute and was happy, so because of this you have accused me of being an "I`m Alright,Jack" sort. I have said all along that there has been a major problem at the club over the summer and that is lack of communication. I believe that the club has made some unpopular business decisions and not explained their reasoning, but to set yourself up as some sort of Robin Hood against NC`s Sheriff of Nottingham is really stretching it. You standing up alone for the rights of the poor down-trodden Saints fans who are being "shafted" by SFC`s answer to Alan Rickman, whilst the rest of us "I`m Alright, Jack" fatcats layaround licking our own testicles smacks of fantasy to me.

My point is that he couldn`t be asked to renew them even after you told him that there was still time to do so, so these were not "fans" that did not renew. What we lost was revenue from those tickets, not fans. Would the people who used the tickets go to SMS any way or did they only go if they had a freebie??
