I was absolutely gobsmacked and very, very sad to hear about the death of Kate MacGarrigle at the age of 63. The mother of Rufus and Martha Wainwright, she performed with her sister Anna since the early 70`s and her last appearance was at the Albert Hall last December. TBF since 1997, all of the Tory leaders (Haig, Duncan Smith, Howard and now Cameron) have done this. This just shows what is wrong with our politicians. It is all about getting power at any cost, and very little about serving the country.

I am a floating voter and I look at policies rather than personalities before voting, although if pushed I would call myself "Centre-Right". ONE of the things that concerns me about Cameron is that the Tories seem to be presenting him AS the party to the public. The phrase "I`ll cut the deficit, not the NHS", with the use of the word "I`ll" instead of "We" or "The Conservatives" is a good example of this.
