  1. Not an excuse but apparently it was because it was the first time that he had actually beaten a Klopp team....not because it was Liverpool.
  2. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Don't remember too many moans when he left.
  3. Don't give them ideas.....
  4. The problem that I have is that I fell out of love with football a long time ago. The money, the "Big Six", the England "Boys Club" etc, but because watching Saints has been a habit and a way of life for over 60 years it has been difficult to give up. Sadly, it has got to the stage where it wouldn't take too much to stop. Some may think that this is an overreaction but it could be the final straw. I could save the money and get BT Sports instead. I already have Sky and Amazon so would be able to catch all Saints televised games. I think that the club are taking a lot for granted....
  5. The wording is "The current standard general admission seating located throughout Block 31 will be removed and replaced with a new comfortable padded seat that offers improved experience."
  6. They are also offering reduced membership to the Gasworks club as part of the deal so it wouldn't surprise me.
  7. I have had a letter today from the club. Apparently among the upgrades at SMS they are ripping out all the seats from Block 31 Kingsland and replacing them with luxury padded seats. For those that want to renew there, the cost will be £999, with none of the normal discounts. This is apparently a considerable saving on those who will want to relocate there. As someone who has had my tickets there for 20 years I am a bit miffed....but this is progress I suppose.
  8. He can't just go.....he has a contract....
  9. So how does that help Saints? Surely they need to know if he is staying or going to help with forward planning?
  10. But we want to finish as high a possible and we want to play youngsters.....or something....
  11. As it was for Koeman and Pochettino. I suppose they were shit as well?
  12. Are you genuinely comparing what RH has achieved with MP???
  13. Whilst I would enjoy the ride if a Sheik or Russian Oligarch came in and started throwing their money around buying over-priced players, which for a club such as ours can and in tears, I am not as down on Gao as many others are. OK, he doesn't pump in money from his own pockets but he doesn't take money out of the club, allows the board to get on with running the club (with, as Semmons says, all money that the club makes, going back in) and generally doesn't seem it interfere too much. I think that things could be a lot worse, but until anything "better" (whatever that is) comes along, we are where we are.
  14. You mean like he was the first half of this season and the second half of last? Or are you just judging purely on the negative?
  15. Beat you to the draw??😉
  16. Even though we had a brilliant second half after "restart? From August to January? Nothing to do with the horrendous injuries that hit an already thin squad at the same time or some pretty big VAR cock ups (Aston Villa eg?). Ralph is certainly not perfect but as a supporter of many, many years standing, I can still see something in him and am confident that providing that he is given the right tools, he will be successful for us. Some on here are short-sighted and would have sacked Lawrie Mac after he got us relegated in 72/73.....
  17. Presumably this also includes being superb in the first half of the season??
  18. As someone who has regularly supported Saints since the 1950's, I have asked myself that question many, many times over the years. I'm still here.....
  19. Wasn't he given MoM?
  20. Not sure it it is true but I saw a WHU fan say today that they have had 5 of their last 8 reds rescinded. Shocking if it is true.
