  1. Joy. Coventry game the whole day and evening celebrating and waking up the next day elated and celebrating all day again! Sadness. Two down at home to Doncaster in the cold and wet, throwing my season ticket on the pitch in sheer frustration and anger at what Lowe had done to our club Funny. Seeing a fan in the East Stand at the Dell standing up and pushing Vinnie Jones in the back as he stood back to take a throw in. The stare he got from Jones was one to strike the fear of god into you it was hilarious!
  2. My new wife came to Saints v Leicester last home game of the season the day after we got married!! Her other treat was Barnsley away 3 4 defeat in the PL her first game. She liked Liverpool so I took her to Anfield when we lost 7-1. The Jamie Redknapp shirt I was going to buy her ( I know!) from their Club shop after the game got cancelled!!
  3. No we really need a quality striker. I can see us keeping most games tight and not conceding many but we really need a top class finisher, Rickie and Jay Rod are good but if a games tight and clear cut chances are at a premium, they miss too many imo.
  4. My Mum came from Hampshire and i used to follow Chelsea but the first live game i went to at stamford Bridge in 1976 was Chelsea v Saints courtesy of my Saints supporting best mates Dad. Funnily enough the next match Saints played was the Cup Semi v Palace, i was then taken to The Dell later that year and that was it!! Family Centre Season Ticket when Keegan sighned and been to pretty much every home game since then from Oxfordshire.
  5. Fulhams ground is full of flag waving tourists. Their fan base is no more than 10k
  6. It's obvious the club has employed some clever jumped up marketing 'executive' who obviously thinks its funny to try and rip loyal fans off as much as possible. *****.
  7. Why do the club constantly try and **** everyone off over such trivial issues. FFS someone sort it out. Why stop the discount on line I mean it's ****ing pathetic.
  8. I was there too, it was awesome. Fash the bash had been asking for it elbowing everyone and generally being a c..t. It was an awesome tackle and all the Saints fans laughed and cheered and even more when we got a draw with ten men after being 3 1 down. Respect to FB, he wasn't letting a bully like that getting away with trying to forearm smash his team mates all day.
  9. Harry's gambling fund has had a boost then.
  10. With all the hype and expectation. No one.
  11. I actually combined a lovely sunny day and a 120 mile round trio on my motorbike to ride to the West Quay arriving about 1 30 pm, queued up for 10 mins to buy a new shirt. I personally don't agree with no stripes and the generic Adidas template, But, it isn't actually that bad. Does this make me a lifelong passionate Saints fan an idiot?
  12. True to his word! Fair play
  13. Turkish you do spout some ****e.
  14. This has been done since yesterday
  15. It's quite smart, I like it.
  16. I think we all appreciate what Cortese has done and indeed is still doing. It would have just been nice to to see the team we love playing in a superb kit like the ones we used to have rather than a s...e generic Adidas top that is the same as Bristol F.....g City's.
  17. CB Fry, you are wrong because we've already signed a player.
  18. If he wants to buy into Corteses vision then ok yes, wages should also be right, he obviously isn't bothered as Cardiff were offering better wages although a lower transfer fee. In other words, ambition doesn't matter, it's pure greed. I don't want players like that at our club. Let him join Cardiff and end up back in the Championship after a season.
  19. Just another greedy foreign ******. Tell him to f... off
  20. My Celtic mate just texted deal off as £12m terms not agreed.
  21. Its not that at all. I dont expect to pay just £300 for a season ticket, the point i was trying to make is the EXTRA £300 that i have to shell out when the clubs income has gone up £80 Million. Yes wages, transfers etc will be much higher, but this is an increase,in my view, cannot be justified when other PL clubs have cheaper tickets and not hiked up prices.
  22. I consider myself to be a 'general' fan who has supported Saints and had a season ticket since 1981. I dont consider myself to be a whinger or 'nut job'. I like reading everyone elses view on here. I am absolutely overjoyed at the progress weve made under Nicola's leadership and am grateful for all the support from the Lieberr family. I just wish as a fan that we could be consulted on things like kit design and just made to feel a little bit more welcome than just 'customers' who are constantly being asked to pay more and more for everything, ticket tax, over inflated season ticket prices, car park charges etc. I realize if we want to be the best this costs, but sometimes it just gets my back up. My season ticket has gone up nearly £300 when the club is getting £80 Million extra revenue. This is, quite frankly, taking the ****ing ****. Some of my friends who support other PL clubs have been showed some loyalty by their clubs in not hiking prices for long standing ST holders. SFC, it seems do not care about their fan base. Anyway, love the Club still, onwards and upwards. UTS.
  23. Pearce was a great player with passion for his country but is a shocking manager. He turned Notts Forest and Man City into dour defensive poor teams and achieved nothing. To say a managerial dinosaur like him his in charge if our youngsters says it all about our international teams. Prehistoric out of date football. We are light years behind country's like Spain and Germany and nothing is likely to change with the cretins we have at the FA.
