  1. What a ridiculously negative reaction from you lot! Give the guy a break. I don't endorse the royal family in any way so I have no subjectivity, but he's made a good effort here. As large an effort to see what it must be like for homeless people to sleep rough as he possibly could do, given who he is. Furthermore, I've never even experienced sleeping rough to the degree he has, and I'm assuming most of you are in the same bag, so it's a bit rich to hear you all criticising his efforts from the warmth of your own homes!
  2. Dr who?
  3. Ticketmaster sell at face value, it's the booking fees that are a little over the top. However, all agents seem to charge booking fees thiese days, unless you can avoid using them and pay for tickets in person instead.
  4. Delldays Nineteen Canteen
  5. Block 32 seats were available on the day last week.
  6. I'm gonna get me a snazzy smartphone but the network issue is the biggy at the moment. I will mainly be using it in Regents Park / Shirley , town and a bit of Harefield. Can anyone vouch for the quality of specific networks in these places? Using the onlince coverage checkers for Vodafone, O2, T-Mobile and Orange for my home postcode ... it would suggest that Vodafone, O2, Orange and T-Mobile is the order of best to worst. Does that tally with people's experience? EDIT ... should have said, it's 3g coverage that is as important as voice coverage. ta!
  7. "an honest and professional" You'll seem more professional if you spell the word correctly.
  8. From my selfish point of view it is as I didn't want the choice of cruises departing Southampton to be reduced!
  9. Possibly ... and they should be stricter about the amount of fussing they let people do when buying tickets on match days. In other words, you state a stand and then get the 'best available' tickets; none of this faffing around whilst you pick out the two perfect seats. If you want to be picky, you buy in advance.
  10. yes, the seats i'm interested in.
  11. Looks like Liverpool's cruise plans have been blocked, in other words the Scousers have been kicked off our patch.
  12. The idea of encouraging people to buy in advance makes sesne, but using it to bring in a stealth increase in ticket prices is harsh. They should have reduced advance tickets by £2 if they wanted to introduced varying prices. £27 per ticket is crazy.
  13. I hope you're taking the mickey with post.
  14. Rather a rash statement! Have you included law firms and hospitals in there?
  15. Are you taking the mick? If my cat started behaving like this I'd have it down the vet pronto ... I'd be really worried!

Can't see what all the fuss is about to be honest
  17. Somebody on Pompey Online thinks it closer to 150.
  18. Well, you may be being a little generous there, mind telling me the source of that figure? I've just had a look on Pompey Online and they reckon "about 150".
  19. Anyone know how many Pompey actually took to Sunderland?
  20. Yes, that is a fair point which I hadn't considered. I think my disappointment at the at the size of the attendance may have been intensified by the long, long wait I had to put up with in order to buy tickets before the game. It's the first time I've ever had to buy tickets on the day and even though I got there by 2:20pm, I still just missed kickoff. After that, I was left thinking, "Surely it must be a big crowd?" but apparently not! If that's how busy / slow the ticket is processing the walk up crowd, then I wonder if something could be done. I'm not sure what, but I just had the feeling that the situation wasn't perhaps handled as well as it could be.
  21. It's poor in the context of our other attendances this season, that's what I was getting at. I wasn't comparing it to other teams' attendances.
  22. How on earth did we manage our highest attendance for a televised game? And surely yesterday's attendance of 19800 is pretty poor considering our recent form? I know it's 'before Chrsitmas' etc but still.
  23. That would have certainly been at the forefront of the minds of many of the participators.
  24. Two and a Half Men is awesome and is reportedly netting Charlie Sheen approximately £13million per year. For more serious stuff, The Sopranos certainly knocked the socks off The Wire.
