Gibraltar is indeed a dump. The rock is an interesting natural sight to see from the sea, especially when the clouds seem to pour over the top of it, but once you've seen it you've seen it!

I didn't bother looking, but it would have been rather stupid if the club hadn't bothered to open all tills etc at the kiosks. That's one thing they should come in for criticism on. I'm not saying the whole situation was handled well by the club by any means, I just thought you were losing perspective somewhat. SOme stands were at capacity, that doesn't mean they were unsafe. As others have said, we used to get attendances which meant full stands week in week out. Still, let's just move on from the Hillsbrorough reference as an ill chosen comparison shall we? I fully support your moan about season ticket holders getting ousted out of their seats sue to the staggered way in which the stands were opened though. Whilst I had st owning friends turfed out of their usual centre Kingsland seats, I managed to make the move from the back of block 32 (which is always empty anyway) tto the back of block 31 for today. So, a good move for me, but I still think the club fouled up.

I did scream "boring" three times when the draw was made butt, being objective, it's an okay draw. Getting a home draw against a non-prem team is just about as good as it gets if you want to talk chances to progress. However, I desperately wanted to play Pompey as I really fancy testing ourselves against them given both teams' current situations.

sorry mate but that bit simply isn't true! I can accept many of the other comments being said about him since they were things I hadn't noticed myself yesterday, but one of Schniederlin's most frustrating traits is that he "sprays" the ball 20yds or so to nobody on an all too regular basis. As I said, I'm not knocking other aspects of his game and like his skill, but to say he never gives the ball away is simply untrue.
-
Very surprised to see Scneiderlin up near thetop of the poll. I had a tough job picking a man of the match but my thoughts turned to Thomas for looking 'solid'. When it comes to Schneiderlin, I only really noticed him yesterday when he played awful passes to the middle of nowhere. And, I'm not a Schneiderlin hater. When he plays well, I give him full credit. I'd be interested to hear what people saw from him yesterday that merits a man of the match rating.

:smt038 Comparing a full Itchen concourse (one that is abiding its capacity safety limits etc) with the Hillsborough tragedy is certainly pretty ridiculous. I didn't notice a significant difference between yesterday in the Kingsland councourse and the way it has been earlier in the season. Perhaps the Kingsland has usually been a lot emptier than the Kingsland and so supporters in the Itchen felt the increase a little more? Either way, we should all be grown up enough to know how to deal with crowds. Yes, the queues are frustrating, but I really don't know what can realistically be done to appease the situation. Comparing it to a major disaster in which many lost their lives, is just going to make people look silly though.

It's illegal in so far as it represents a breach of contract.

Just back from the game and "stutter" is an apt verb choice, that's for sure. Lambert's freekick was class, as was the earlier one that he didn't quite get lucky with. Antonio was out of sorts and both James and Schneiderlin played some poor balls. Patterson (sp?) had a good spell when he came on though. The biggest moan has to go to the proportion in the Northam who were more interested in goading the large Luton support and trying to have a scrap with them after, than watching the on pitch action.

nobody had a go with the htc hero then?

Seaman in fond of Brighton shocker.

Yeh, it's diffuclt bringing money in from abroad apparently; I guess you have to stand in line at customs for a long time etc.

she's definitely on something ... or very, very lonely. Could she not be sent to China or something?

what an utter load of tosh. It's a football stadium, not a boutique hotel. You really are clutching at straws.
-
But I'd say you're a little guilty of that too to be fair!

I thought you highlighted the bits in red as you were going to say that DellDays was suffering from bipolar-disorder :smt043

No, the fact that you need this to help you park but STILL get cheaper insurance premiums is ridiculous.
-
surely you'd have to be to do this (listen to the audio).

Did think about that, but getting into town from my place would usually involve a quick hop down the Millbrook Road and a 125cc scooter would obviously be a better bet. I could stick to Shirley HIgh Street I suppose.
-
That is exactly what I want to avoid! As I said though, bearing in mind I need to be wearing some sort of safety gear, I'm hoping it will be easier on a scooter. Realistically, my journey to work would be a couple of miles through the twisty streets of Southampton and I'd probably never even get to do 30mph. I'm hoping I can just get a 'protective motorbike' coat of some sort, some gloves and a helmet. When it's wet, some waterproof trousers will have to come out to protect my suit trousers, but apart from that I hope to keep things simple. Am I barking up the wrong tree though?
-
And we're too busy doing important humanitarian work in Afghanistan.
-
yeh maybe. But a colleague ( who has owned both bikes and scooters) did point out to me that I wouldn't be able to ride one wearing my suit trousers and whilst that probably isn't advised on a scooter, I'm hoping I'd have more chance of getting away with it. Unless you think it's equally mad.
