Should have gone to Tesco and saved yourself a tenner then. I'm still not convinced to be honest. I'm making the smartphone decision as we speak and just don't know what to buy. I'm torn between Android variants, the iphone and a Blackberry of some sort. The Android phones generally have tight data restrictions on Vodafone and Orange, whilst I'm conerned that the T-Mobile coverage is unpredictable at best. This leaves Andriod phones sort of out of the question until the Nexus ONe appears on Vodafone perhaps. The thing that I can't get my head round with the iphone is that it looks under featured alongside some of the Andriod offerings. Multi-tasking and social network integration are two key areas where it reportedly lags behind and when you couple this with the hefty price tag, it doesn't automatically present itself as a clearcut leading contender. If I pay a premium, I expect the product to deserve that premium and prove its worth. I know little Blackberrys, execpt that the Bold 9700 is the only one with 3G that I've seen and it therefore carries an iphone-esque price point contract-wise, albeit without the handset charge upfront. Some features appeal, Blackberry messenger would come in handy as I'm buying two identical handsets at once, but the little screen seems odd and leaves me with concerns about the browsing experience. All in all, I wonder if now isn't a good time. With a summer iphone refresh around the corner and some key Android phones arriving in the Spring, perhaps we're on the verge of a big change in what the smartphones will be offering. Mind you, I guess you can always wait for the next big thing!

A hint of what to expect from the summer iphone refresh perhaps.

I agree with everything you said. It's worthwhile pointing out how rarely this has happened, like you've done, before people start moaning about why we don't have under soil heating etc. No mention of ticket siaution though. Can we assume that all orginal tickets will remain valid AND we can take a full refund instead if we can't attend the new date? I'm sure this will be the case but it would have been helpful if they'd added that to the annoucement as I'm sure some people won't know what to expect.

should try it for your sub

jill, you don't have number three's contact details do you?
-
Daivid Luker will sort you out if you email him and ask nicely.

done cheers FWIW, my biggest problem with the system is that I can't choose specific seats.

nothing wrong with a bit of humour. nice one

not without knowing if it has a spare pci slot. A wireless usb dongle is sure to work though. Should still get a mac mini instead.
-
unlucky. it's on the mac minis by default though.

nice one, i love a good apostrophe joke.
-
I agree with all this. A healthy dose of persective is needed by some of the naysayers.

Hurling personal insults via the internet is very hard and something all 'maths lecturers' should aspire to.

1)correct 2) well done for wasting two posts on it then.

Not at all, his 'efforts' remain untarnished ... just letting you know how cringeworthy 'novelty' ringtones are. It's a discussion board after all you know. ps ... I plopped your apostrophe in for you so you don't look too illiterate.
-
I think it was pretty clear.
-
If I saw a grown man with this as his ringtone, I would s****** and think him a bit retarded.

I remember reading articles which claimed certain versions of Norton could add up to 90seconds to a system's boot up time. There are plenty of free antivirus packages wihch will sort you out.

I wouldn't bother with wireless on a desktop unless you simply can't get a wire to the machine. A wired connection is much stabler and faster in my experience and opinion.

it's "Donnelly"

Gibraltar is indeed a dump. The rock is an interesting natural sight to see from the sea, especially when the clouds seem to pour over the top of it, but once you've seen it you've seen it!

I didn't bother looking, but it would have been rather stupid if the club hadn't bothered to open all tills etc at the kiosks. That's one thing they should come in for criticism on. I'm not saying the whole situation was handled well by the club by any means, I just thought you were losing perspective somewhat. SOme stands were at capacity, that doesn't mean they were unsafe. As others have said, we used to get attendances which meant full stands week in week out. Still, let's just move on from the Hillsbrorough reference as an ill chosen comparison shall we? I fully support your moan about season ticket holders getting ousted out of their seats sue to the staggered way in which the stands were opened though. Whilst I had st owning friends turfed out of their usual centre Kingsland seats, I managed to make the move from the back of block 32 (which is always empty anyway) tto the back of block 31 for today. So, a good move for me, but I still think the club fouled up.

I did scream "boring" three times when the draw was made butt, being objective, it's an okay draw. Getting a home draw against a non-prem team is just about as good as it gets if you want to talk chances to progress. However, I desperately wanted to play Pompey as I really fancy testing ourselves against them given both teams' current situations.

sorry mate but that bit simply isn't true! I can accept many of the other comments being said about him since they were things I hadn't noticed myself yesterday, but one of Schniederlin's most frustrating traits is that he "sprays" the ball 20yds or so to nobody on an all too regular basis. As I said, I'm not knocking other aspects of his game and like his skill, but to say he never gives the ball away is simply untrue.
