From my favourite (and statistically reliable) predictions website (https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/premier-league/). Even though we are currently 19th we only have a 33% chance of relegation.....

Saints 1-1 (p6-5) Sheffield Wednesday - Match Thread

Good info, freako. -
Someone reported that Blackmore had mentioned this chap’s name in a Solent piece a week or so back. I can’t find the post but am sure somebody can.

I think the increasing difficulty SR face is that of fan discontent and dissatisfaction. There may or may not be a plan to do X, Y or Z. That’s open to conjecture and discussion. What is *beyond* dispute is that what we have had to watch over the last 18 months has been turgid, insipid, fearful football resulting in - lest we forget - not even a handful of wins in 30 odd league games. Shameful. Like it or not, that will have an effect, whether it be reduced numbers through turnstiles, reduced merchandise sales, audible dissatisfaction / protest at SMS. SR would do well to read the runes and see where this is heading. If they have a plan to buy big in January and give RH the attacking player(s) he so needs, then OK - let that play out. However, any other pathway will see things get ugly pretty quickly in my view.

Sorry to be the one to point this out….but you somewhat contradict yourself in this post. At the top of this page you state - in capitals - ‘Ralph isn’t going anywhere’. So which is it?
-
It’s interesting - watching him yesterday from the Arthur Wait stand among the palace fans (long story!) it’s incredible how many times he jumps early - way too early - and ends up coming back to earth at the same time as the ball. He doesn’t meet it - he sort of joins it. That’s precisely what happened at Wolves and many times since. Not sure that’s a coaching thing - his sense of time and space are off. Might explain other failings too…..
-
Agree. He’s neither fish nor foul at present. When AMN came on you could see him push higher and start influencing our forward play more. But with Diallo next to him he can’t risk that. He has to be on the cover all the time. But notwithstanding he hasn’t the pace or the physicality to be an influence in the centre without a Romeu type alongside him.
-
In what way? Genuine question.
-
He posted after Spurs, Wolves, Villa and Everton defeats. He does so pretty much every game. But - weirdly - not yesterday. Makes me think either he knows the end is nigh for Ralph….or even he can’t excuse that shower of shite.
-
As a matter of interest, still no direct tweet from Blackmore about yesterday’s game. He always posts something - but not yesterday. And not today. Very odd.
-
Going to respectfully disagree. Whilst the relative defensive solidity is a plus, it means absolutely nothing if we don’t have somebody who can score 10-15 goals a season. And we don’t. Unless that changes in January, we will be relegated - of that I am certain.
-
And we all know what will happen when Saints go there in a fortnight…..
-
Now down to 17th….

It’s just so tedious to watch us at present. I travelled today with zero expectations and only a modicum of hope. But boy are we served some shite these days. Diallo was horrendous, our attacking play first half non existent. Improved slightly with AMN coming on at ht - midfield couldn’t have been any worse- but you just know how it ends. And sure as eggs are eggs…..Che God bless him works very hard with little assistance….but those two chances - he’s just got to be putting those away. And JWP looks lost. Leggy and lost. Set piece specialist? Not currently. I can only hope - and assume? - that SR have a plan for January. Lord help us if they don’t.

CHDAJFU? 🤔🤣
-
Which begs the question…..why the fuck didn’t they get rid of him straight away?

To be fair, your dog gave me a winning tip for the 3.15 at Cheltenham. Good lad.

As a reference point, he tweeted about the Arsenal result within 15 minutes of final whistle….

Nothing from Blackmore on Twitter yet….🤔

Here’s hoping the predicted thunder, lightning and heavy rainfall acts as a leveller…..🤞🤞🤞(straws firmly clutched)

I thought he said he was a lover, not a fighter…..🤔
