Funnily enough I was listening to to the Total Saints Podcast thingamy (not something I listen to often)- Adam Leitch off the Echo said, when he spoke to him post match, Ralph was going to sub Valery at half time as he could see what Leicester were upto. Chilwell was getting very little change out of Valery, very much like Hazard wasn't v Chelsea. He suffered the impetuousness of youth sprinkled with a little inexperience, I wouldn't be overly concerned unless it becomes a frequent thing. I certainly wouldn't be pointing the finger at the frequency of yellows, especially as you can't bet on Romeu getting a yellow anymore without adding in another match event, and Bednarek was racking them up for a few games too recently. As for the penalty shout, there was contact foot to foot, Valery didn't get at all excited about it (like Alonso at Chelsea), he just got up and took a bit of chirp from Chilwell......... we have all seen them given for less and with Michael Oliver you have one of the better refs, who would have no qualms about awarding a second penalty of the afternoon if he felt there was an offence.

Friday night out in Blackburn might end up as one drink before last orders - seeing as the M6 on a Friday with the roadworks can be a right mess!

True what they say “garbage in garbage out”.......... Give it a rest - we won.

Why don’t you park it for the evening, we won a game and your least favourite player was in the team and god forbid scored a goal.........We’ve got the picture. Just enjoy the moment of a win against the odds on the Road. No need for sarky comments.

Thought he was immense today - seemed like him and Bednarek were playing a game of oneupmanship against each other. -

If we are lucky we could get him and Ings to dovetail their injuries to give us a season of permanent cover up front.

Remember getting in the car after all the dancing and singing on the pitch, Solent replayed his post match interview “for those of you who might just be getting to your car”, talk about all the air whooshing out of the balloon! Sat with Hooiveld and a couple of other players up in the stand at a pre season game, my mate asked what’s the main difference between Adkins and Pochettino, Jos replied “before Pochettino we just couldn’t defend”. Either way we were thoroughly entertained in the time Nigel was with us, yes he was given the tools to do the job, but he made full use of them. There are always going to be a few loons posting “look at me” nonsense on an Internet forum, whenever Adkins has turned up at Saints he gets a deserved hero’s welcome from the crowd.

The FA are a rule unto themselves, and can make it up as they go along as they please, with no need to answer to anyone or explanation. With regard to appealing a case like this they have a nasty little Joker hidden up their sleeves to play should a club choose to have the temerity to challenge a disciplinary decision they have made. We could appeal but should that appeal fail, the FA can increase the ban by as much as they like as punishment for having the bloody cheek to question their decision. Not sure if the decision was changed, but that Brighton lad who was sent off the other week with a double yellow, all due to mistaken identity by the Ref booking the player for an offence he hadn't committed. Everyone could see that the Ref booked the wrong player, the same evidence that the disciplinary panel would use in a case showed the ref had booked the wrong player. But Brighton were unable to appeal the decision and (unless common sense has prevailed since) the wrongly awarded yellow card can not be rescinded!!!! Regardless that it was Brighton the player still served his match ban for a double yellow!!. How does that work? The guy is innocent, but the FA rules can't be overruled, unless they choose to......... because the sun is out!
