  1. Some of you might have seen the Guardiola and Sterling in training video that came out last week, if you havent scroll down in the link, looks a very similar depth of conversation. http://www.sportbible.com/football/take-a-bow-this-clip-of-guardiola-coaching-sterling-in-training-has-gone-viral-20171122
  2. As a couple of Norwich fans always said he's great running with the ball but as soon as he has to do more than that "the boy is thick as $h!t"! What we have on our hands is the finished article, he was totally anonymous second half..........if Pepe was putting a rocket up his jacksy it's was probably for being a waste of a shirt.
  3. Thats the formation up some of us have been hoping he would give a go to with proper players on the pitch.
  4. I thought him and PEH were a breath of fresh air yesterday. Regardless of the opposition they both took their chance to stake a claim. I would take him in the team over Redmond all day long mainly because his footballing brain works so much faster, and his dead ball deliveries are an asset, how many corners have we seen this season where the ball hasn't beaten the first man or beaten everyone, then the Tadic specials that most of the time are wafted into the keepers hands. Even taken from his less favoured side early on he arrowed a gem pretty much where he knew VVD would be rising to head it, he has a weapon in his feet that is an asset to the team. The key thing with him is he is always moving and looking to move the ball, just about everyone agrees there are times when we play too slowly, the biggest culprits of that are Redmond and Tadic, even yesterday Tadic got away with it where he received the ball stopped got swamped then got a fortuitous ricochet ending up with his assist.
  5. Having slid off the Nivea adds - he's touting to be the new face of Pantene for Men. I had stepped out of the room when the highlights were shown on MOTD, all I heard from the living room where great hoots of laughter, followed by "what the F's that on your head" from Wife and Daughter.
  6. Cheers Sue - Mrs JBS will like that
  7. Scroll down the page a bit and Master Redmond gets a mention in dispatches under "shooting a lot but yet to find the net"
  8. I will stick this as a post on 2 of the platforms you broadcast on. Dig out the Hatrick in 3 minutes v Villa report, where Villa were set up and I quote "4-5- 60 yards Benteke" It's bloody Black!! and his effin blueprint set up!! I'm a fat bloke what sits in the stands, I can see it as a fan who is paying to watch this $h!t, there are people paid F off money who work for the club who can't see it?! Jeez!
  9. Looks like it's all going to rat $h!t, only the under 18s looking to cut the mustard in this last week! What's dutchman Jan doing these days?!
  10. Going on the comments above, nothing is happening in the game?
  11. Probably glad to be getting next weekend off.
  12. Can I place an order for 3 bags of that, my roses will love it, actually make it 4 as I fancy trying Rhubarb in the garden.
  13. When you look at the rate Managers are fired at, I would imagine that being the manager at Celtic is a pretty cosy gig IF you can keep churning out results, winning stuff keep everything ticking along without too much fuss. No spectre of doom anywhere near your front door, if the money is more than enough to get by on (I imagine the severance cheque from Liverpool would see the average Joe placed in a position to retire alone) the only thing to make you go elsewhere is personal ambition. I get impression that Neil Lennon got bored, which is why he left, and boredom is probably the only thing to see Rodgers depart........... given his nationality the weather in Glasgow isn't going to be much of a factor ;-)
  14. True or not, I heard that the shocking Season Ticket sales were a contributing factor in the departure of Monsieur Claude, I bet compared to last year the uptake or even enquiring interest in the half Season Tickets this year is pretty atrocious. I know we had 2 weeks off, and 3 for our next home game, approaching, but when we walked past the ticket office after the Burnley game every window was occupied by staff, and even from the Britannia road side of the railings their body language was bored to tears, normally when we walk back to the car ,at the same time, there are always a few fans at the windows.
  15. It was on the Club Facebook with video, as my (these days politically incorrect) Grandad use to say after Saints had thumped another team "who were we playing... the blind school". Still the upside was that we have progressed to having real live people to try and score against rather than stick in the ground plastic men or nothing, so I guess Mr Pellegrinos comment on the back of yesterdays Echo held some truth "We are getting closer".
  16. Sad news indeed, Rest In Peace
  17. It was the ridiculous to the sublime............Kenzie still probably got a gentle rattle out the glasses in the cocktail cabinets up on Pear Tree Avenue though! Probably why some folks missed the instructions for the rememberance silence.
  18. Based on this season alone, I think Maya might argue with you on that point.
  19. ...............As Virgil has a Lovren we all laugh at game!
  20. Eh!!!!! I know I looked at the clock after playing 3hours of the second half and it said only just 70 minutes, so I might have been distracted with boredom. But Redmond having a better game than Boufal??!! Have a word with yourself, Redmond did the same as he always does in the same way he always does, you may counter that he loses the ball more than Redmond but that's because he takes people on, but the one thing he does try to do is make an effort to get the ball back and often does. As for your earlier comment that "Tadic had his best game in a while", if that's the case then we are in serious trouble!! His game was summed up perfectly in one moment by the cross field weighted pass to Cedric only 10 yards away straight out of play.
  21. How the hell does Chris Smalling get away with the amount of very visible shirt grabbing he does?
  22. Last league game he played for us must have been away at Palace a couple of years back (I stand to be corrected), he had a pretty sound game then was dropped, yes we lost 1-0 to a scrappy goal, but it could have been a few more were it not for Gazza. Good luck to him.
  23. Both us, and our daughter sat seperately up in the rafters of Wembley at the EFL final, saw people leave their seat when Man U scored their second and never return for the rest of the match!?! ............ analysise that.
  24. Hmmmmm Skiing for the Spurs game nice............ beats being in Bloody Felixstowe in an ice box of a warehouse (even in the summer) for the annual company stock take for the Palace game. Still means I can get sozzled New Years Eve on Snowballs followed by Creme de Menthe!!
  25. Spoke to an acquaintance tonight, Arsenal fan, old boy, he fratanises some of the folks in the know at Arsenal and apparently this is quite likely. He did say he isn't as quick as he once was, thinks it could be through fear of breaking himself again.
