Here we go 2hrs on the M25 or Perepheric on a Friday night, and they are about to be let off the leash with chilly tyres. Planned to go twice, and twice something has scuppered the adventure to Le Mans.

I quite like Argeles sur Mer, however just realised that it has been a good few years since I last went there, learned to to windsurf there. If the weather is a tad inclement take a visit to once hyper cheap frontier town of Le Perthus just down the road, if anything the buying Spirits will be at Spainish duty which is a bit cheaper than France. Take the coast road to Spain the views are spectacular although the towns en route have lost a bit of their lustre. Barcelona is an easy day trip. If you are driving down via Clermont and the Millau Bridge and are looking for something quick to eat, after the Millau bridge take the turning for La Cavalrie drive into the village at the junction turn right on the right cracking little bakery, the Merangues are awesome.

We have players that in league 1 just scared the whatsit out of opposition players and managers, this bought the rest of our team time to maximise the holes left by magnet players like Lallana sucking folks in to get the ball off him. And defenders looking over their shoulders to see Rickie in their vicinity and just hoofing it anywhere into the stand to our advantage. The players listed in the original post all gave the side this quality of taking 2 or 3 players out of position and allowing the less gifted players in the side the room to be more effective. The best exponent of this was Matty, if he was on the pitch, no matter who we played, every opposition feared that at any moment he could make them look very silly at the expense of a goal, which just gave the less able that few extra seconds to be more effective. I always thought that if Glenda had brought on Matty for the second half that fateful night at Tranmere we would not have lost so embarrassingly. The nice thing now is we are a club on the up and once again we have players who teams fear ( which needs to be quickly established in NPC) but for the first time in eons we do not need to sell!!

Rory Delap discovered that he had been born with Swing wing technology in his ears, which when mastered would allow him to adjust his running speed by sweeping them back and forwards. It was not until the boffins at Stoke City had trained him to master his ears by the use of electric shocks, that they discovered that ear adjustment mid throw-in would take it from the useless lob into the box at Southampton which yielded just 1 goal in 4 years. To become a lethal weapon with Exocet qualities.

Just to keep this on the main page: The 2 players who scored in the 1979 League Cup Final v Forest were the only 2 players left in the team from the victorious 1976 FA Cup team: David Peach & Nick Holmes.

Last one of those I attended was in the small Irish town of Drogheda 4 years ago, a night of quite a few scoops of the Black stuff. And the Garda only knocked on the door & came in to check no one was smoking inside!!!

It beggars belief, folks moan when they don't hear anything out of St Marys from upstairs, then when something is said so many folks fail to listen. In January the club had identified players to bring in, but with all the rumour surrounding Chamberlain and the money he was allegedly going for, plus it was Southampton knocking on the door, those clubs inflated the price of the target player to above what he was worth in the clubs eyes. So quite sensibly we walked away: we may be in a very healthy position in the grand scheme of Football but with Nicola holding the purse we are not stupid with it. As for young Alex being sold, I think you may find that the defining factor in all of it will be, if him and his father think it is time to move on, that the buying club will have to pay the full amount, no instalments I can see that card being played very hard by Mr Cortese: which if true is very shrewd.

I have a 1972ish V Arsenal one with Bob Wilsons Autograph on the front cover, which is photo of one being slotted past him the previous season. Often wondered if it had any value to someone should I ever consider selling it. -
I wonder how many other clubs out of the 92 do not have their season tickets on sale yet?

So that will be double site meltdown as everyone looks to see the details, then pile on here to comment and mither!

So that means a price hike for the Chapel might be on the cards again with the Family section reverting back to kiddies corner.
