She'll be easy to spot on Saturday at the game as she will be sporting her brand new "One Year Out" tee shirt.

I'll pitch em - you hit em! 😉

Given his nationality most likely St Mirren 😉 ......oooh thats weird I came over all MLG 😲
-
Won't that leave us open to sanction from the FA as it possibly targets his gender neutral status.........or whatever! 😉

Our Jack just can’t stop himself upsetting oppo players - regardless of how famous they are 😜 https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/17653923/cristiano-ronaldo-tears-man-utd-goal-drought/

Its not a case of coaching it out of him - its more a case of enhancing what obvious talent he has for the benefit of the team - add that to his abilities and a career back at Chelsea won't be bench warming with what they have on hand in their team.
-
If we can get him to look up when charging through on goal to see who is else in on, rather than trying to score the sometimes impossible on his own, some team could get a proper thumping. As he ploughs into the box he becomes a defender magnet opening up space for others to run into, becoming the better option. At the end of the day he is a young man with plenty to learn. Make the most of him while he is here - but learn how to shut him down for when we have to play against him in the future.

The guy is so thick he hasn’t noticed transfer window isn’t open. Maybe we should report Liverpool for tapping up again, and being media darlings they can get him shut up. Che must be heart broken to find he isn’t being sold on to Newcastle by Crooks 😀

Much of the match seemed a bit of a dogs dinner - no surprise I dozed off. Blimey Spurs losing at home again - Conte will be in line for the tin tack soon 🤪

For those over 40, a trip back memory lane
John Boy Saint replied to Southamptonsi's topic in The Saints
@saint1977 that’s the commentary overlay to find ~ I have searched hard for it @SuperSAINT especially as South Today showed it the next night and the Solent Commentator sounded like he needed hosing down at full time to stop him spontaneously combusting 😁 -
Also it’s coincided with the new owners arriving. As @Toadhall Saint said sometimes things just click We also seem to have found a tempo we like and play to it for 2 halves.

My Ceefax memory was the Newcastle game when we were 1-0 down on 90 mins then refreshed to 1-1 , forced the refresh 2-1 ………… 3-1 ….. full time felt envious of those in the ground -
Big mouth 😳😁

Stuart Attwell on the whistle for this one - he always makes me think of the Weasley guy in charge of the Radio station in Good Morning Vietnam.

I had a damn hard week away with work, just leaving the NEC at 9 phoned Mrs JBS to say on my way home (kick out the Milkman) found radio 5 (no idea we were the featured game) just at they went 2-1, needed fuel stopped, turned on the engine just as Mo equalised, Che injected the adrenaline to get home buzzing still.

The Minsk Memorial Thread (and continuation of his work)
John Boy Saint replied to Minsk's topic in The Saints
Sorry to hear your news - 15 years you’ve been chipping away on here - no doubt like everyone on here, some of it complete cobblers, but still a rich thread in the fabric of this funny old place. Safe onward journey Sir 😇 -
just saw some of the clips on the new Twitter - nice goal to seal the win. Capped by Millie Mott stealing the ball off the line to prevent a goal.

Ah yes Mayuka - I had an evening in the presence of Mayuka along with “Tuesday Night” Jos, and Yoshida. Pre season in Cataluña under Poch and I struck gold as we had a friendly 5 mins from where we were staying. We were sat up in the little stand on the row in front of them. Jos was good value and funny - but serious too, my mate asked the occasional question as we watched the first half “then said I’m not wishing to being rude, need to concentrate on this - at half time I will answer all the questions” and he did. Mayuka was sat next to Maya all through the first half, “what formation are we playing now” was said more than once as Poch dabbled “why is he playing there” - “why didn’t he pass there” Maya explained and Jos chipped in when he could find the english - you did think really? When he went it was much of surprise, performances aside.

Just peeked at a tweet - unless I am reading it wrong 3638 bums on seats a for the games. That’s a good turn out.

I always thought the same, but then I guess people who make those decisions know what they see in a player. When you consider how long he has been consistently banging them in since he left us in the Championship, he has been very effective at that level. He is a combative player and maybe those that know could see that any attempt to finesse him to fit the premier league would simply dull his edge - and early signs in pre season made their minds up about him. You could say “ah but Lambert”, Rickie himself admits that he was a pie eating beer drinker when he came to us, until Pardew gave him a kick up the backside. With the facilities and science at Saints compared to Bristol Rovers, as he got fitter he realised what more he could do and as we went through the leagues his untapped potential had a chance to develop at a steady pace. Billy Sharp came to us as an established player who had followed the necessary fitness regimes to make it, and by comparison the pot of untapped potential was smaller than Rickies. Whos pot at the time nobody could see the bottom of - first Prem game “oh he can do it’s at this level” away at City. Roll the clock on - England debut “can he do it at this level” we all know the answer. Maybe he could have adapted as Che took his time to do. Maybe when you think back to Nigel Adkins interview after the Coventry promotion game, Sharp had served his purpose. Obviously this is a Sunday morning rambling. Maybe he could of adapted

My memory of Danny was against Liverpool (not the famous evening game). In the lower west stand near the box Danny gets the ball 2 Liverpool defenders, one might have been Hansen, closing down on him Danny knocks the ball through the narrowing gap between them both, then somehow he follows the ball through the gap that was no longer there - HOW!!??!! Shame Man U didn’t work out for him - seems his baffling injury issues there were the first sign of his MS but no one picked it up.
