Fair play to Brentford not a sniff of Ambre Solaire about them
-
I have an acquaintance who is socially as thick as porridge, cadged a lift when we thought the one coach was it and were driving - saw your post last night, messaged him to say coaches are on do you want me to book you a seat too, pissed me off with the reply “booked a seat yesterday” ( don’t catch fire mate - cos I ain’t drunk enough water) Anyway I digress - 2 (or is it 3??.!!) coaches are sold out already - well there is one seat on coach 1 available next to our “mate” I guess, if you are going and suffering from insomnia bag it 8 hours of tip top sleep nailed on.
-
Actually on reflection when they “advertised” the coaches and I clicked to book at the same time as booking tickets, they were unavailable it appeared they had sold out the one coach and that was it - I don’t think the travel was ready to sell as we have seats on coach 1 bought last night. Unless when we turn up at the crack of Sparrows fart we are shuffled on to coach 2. For a multi million pound company it all does seem a bit of a pig in poke.

In a similar place right now - I did say last summer when we renewed that this season would be a defining one as to whether we sign up again for next season - when I mentioned that in conversation, my audience has had a look of shock on their faces including Mrs JBS (who is normally the one saying “have you done it yet” as the deadline approaches). I love going down the Saints enough to be turned in a similar way to, as a mediocre golfer, that one hole in a crap round played to perfection that drags you back to play again - I personally control that situation. I’m fickle enough with Saints to hope next Tuesday will be that hole - but I’m not holding my breath.

After seeing the Bristol Rovers 7-0 to leapfrog Northampton to promotion Then Darlington Town needing an 11 goal swing to leapfrog Chester le Street and winning 19-0 on the last day to do the same, only this last weekend. ……………….anything is possible 😳😳

Being in the room obviously adds more substantial meat on the bone With the Ladies - the Wolves manager ( who won’t be overseeing the play off as he is on RAF deployment) was quick to mention the level of investment us and Ipswich have enjoyed compared to them.

We watched some of the player awards stream the other night - Ralph went up on stage for the Fans player of the year award. He didn't look too comfortable stood up there mic in hand, especially as the night was shared with the Ladies and their seasons Silverware haul, so far, was on parade on the stage. Dragan had been up to present an earlier award and obviously made a positive reference to the Ladies. Ralph arrived on the stage and almost instantly referenced the Silverware on the Ladies "side" of the stage and nothing on the Mens side - it certainly was a tad strange to swing the spotlight on to that vacant space and look uncharacteristically rather un-easy "in the moment" . So you could be right.

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25
John Boy Saint replied to Over land and sea's topic in The Saints
Had our financial chappy round the other day - he was with McCarthy at Reading and said even as a youngster he was sublime one moment then wishy washy all over the place the next and the one after. He said he still sees that trait when watching him between the sticks. -
Won’t happen - finalists fit the narrative of the product - 2 English teams buggers the revenue for UEFA- the pull back on Foden un punished set the tone

Wonder how long the ref is going to leave this game on a very lax leash
-
No Mrs JBS was watching on FB - she wanted to see who of the Ladies won as the competition was pretty tough in all categories - if you reversed the fan interest of the 1st Team with Ladies Team and ran a vote - Goal and Player of the season would have been an interesting result as there is so much good to chose from.

Players player of the season was a unanimous decision according to compare Chappers.

As an aside - someone played a blinder with a 60p stake on a 16 game accumulator over the weekend - pocketed just over £150,000.
-
I expect so, but as it’s a Bank Holiday, I really could not be bothered to turn the lights on in that department. Sorry.
-
The ones you’ve seen given - that was a rather generous decision for United
-
Sprinkle on top of that Redmond sitting on the gate of the acre Eze was standing in, admiring the view, without a thought that the Palace man was about to receive the ball.

Hows the weather in the delightful Hamlet of Pedantry this Bank Holiday Monday 😃

Sheer bloody luck?
-
As an aside - saw something on FB earlier Newcastle ladies played Alnwick at St James park in Division One North, they had 22,000 in attendance!!!
-
Just one question, bringing it back on topic, when, I’m guessing, Bednarek and Matteta were rolling about together on the floor first half, was it just me or did I see a Palace punch swung?

If anyone can pull being relegated with 40 points on the the board for the first time in ages - it’s us! 😳😜🤪
