  1. I remember when shops closed after lunch on a Wednesday afternoon!
  2. http://blippar.com/. Should have been available from the 15th December. It's like going on a tour or museum where you see things with a symbol to press for more information. So any ads with a 'b' and your phone (in blippar camera mode) will give you more information on it.
  3. A response from Wayne. I suppose a loan to Glasgow, Turkey and Russia can disrupt his life especially on a Saturday girl.
  4. He's my bet for the death pool in 2012 (I think he would appreciate my comment too).
  5. The liver can metabolize only a certain amount of alcohol per hour, regardless of the amount that has been consumed. The rate of alcohol metabolism depends, in part, on the amount of metabolizing enzymes in the liver, which varies among individuals and appears to have genetic determinants. In general, after the consumption of one standard drink, the amount of alcohol in the drinker's blood (blood alcohol concentration, or BAC) peaks within 30 to 45 minutes. A number of factors influence the absorption process, including the presence of food and the type of food in the gastrointestinal tract when alcohol is consumed. The rate at which alcohol is absorbed depends on how quickly the stomach empties its contents into the intestine. The higher the dietary fat content, the more time this emptying will require and the longer the process of absorption will take. One study found that subjects who drank alcohol after a meal that included fat, protein, and carbohydrates absorbed the alcohol about three times more slowly than when they consumed alcohol on an empty stomach. Women absorb and metabolize alcohol differently from men. They have higher BAC's after consuming the same amount of alcohol as men and are more susceptible to alcoholic liver disease.
  6. You could say that for other matches he's missed too! He was on good form before his injury, it was noticable that no one else could add the drive and energy that he brings to the team.
  7. Indeed but you're missed what is the root cause down that way: "...to take advantage of..."
  8. Unfortunately... yes.
  9. IIRC, if you have a mortgage then the Title Deeds (or for new properties Title Register and Title Plan) will be with the mortgage lender. So you'll need to go to the Land Registry and buy a copy (and possible next doors as well).
  10. I think it also shows that any young lad that is chosen to join the academy has a good chance to make it to the first team if they put in the effort and have the right attitude. That's got to help on the recruitment side for decent prospects and how many other teams can do that? Thanks for the reports.
  11. Great, flying out tomorrow morning... maybe!
  12. Nothing controversial, a good talking point (based on Saints progression). What is worrying is that he was clearly not in the right frame of mind, he's got the ability to be decent at this level as he has shown before. Why so nervous for this game - could be because it's his first league game for a while, an important match being top, the winning run, it's on TV etc but it's certainly a concern with a big game coming up and probably more important we need a reliable second keeper that doesn't need a game or two to adjust when call upon. I hope he can pick himself up from the dissappointing performance.
  13. Malcolm Waldron, Glen Cockerill, Jason Dodd (371 apps), Egil Ostenstad, Hughie Fisher, Rory Delap (still our most expensive signing) to name a few more.
  14. The 80 minute player, Ken Monkou!

    Madeira

My man must have seen your man as he said someone was following picking the same variety, fortunately my man picked up the last of the Barbeito Malvasia '54. An exquiste wine. ;-) If your looking to find out more about madeira wine and consider other madeira houses then Neal Martin and Robert Parker are good wine writers to watch out for.
  16. How can you say he's reneged on that deal? Are there any statements that he or Portpin will not pay up? When did he have to pay by?
  17. Keeping with the analogy, this seems to be a back door way in by those who should uphold the quality assurance in the system.
  18. Is this a "what did the EU ever do for us" thread...?
  19. The DT exposed one exam board where it runs a guidance seminar on exams for teachers. It shows how important and the pressures to pass an the exam for the board, school, teacher and student. Is this typical? Is this more than the how to answer an exam question tips students get? How much movement away from cultivating students intellect is there towards the accumulation of facts to pass an exam in schools these days?
  20. Would have been funnier is there was someone chasing after it!
  21. I think you'll find that the plc was formed well before the FL admin laws and the holding company did at one time have seventeen companies.
  22. I would expect the administrator will be able to keep Pompey alive, just like last time. The question is how much do they need and is all the parachute money already paid out or allocated?
  23. Couldn't? You mean wouldn't.
  24. That's the odds of those two being drawn first and second.
  25. HMRC? Do you mean the MHRA, FC? In the Te Genero trial there were some basic procedure errors by the unit. Probably to save money such as dosing too many patients at the same time and not following up on infusion reactions.
